Business Description: Philosophy: DC Training was founded by David Crump and is centered on the concept of functional, performance training. Functional training can be defined as any type of training designed to replicate and improve normal movements of the human body. Although “functional training” has become a term that a lot of trainers throw around, few can explain it and even fewer can actually implement it into a progressive program. Simply speaking, it is training the body to be more efficient in everything it attempts. At DC Training we believe this is accomplished by first teaching the body how to move and then we proceed to add multiple levels of difficulty to reach new heights. Although we adhere to the fundamentals, we often look outside the box to push the limits. The end result is a body that looks amazing and performs even better! About David: David Crump has been training in the Orlando area for about 5 years. He has been fortunate to train clients from all walks of life and with different levels of fitness. David’s passion for fitness and the fundamentals of program design have allowed him to develop a style that can work with anyone and extract the highest level of performance out of them. Some of the training modalities he utilizes are Olympic lifting, plyometrics, TRX suspension training, kettlebell training, balance and core training, and corrective exercise. David considers some his professional mentors/influences to be JC Santana, Robert Dos Remedios, and Alwyn Cosgrove (among others). He considers himself an eternal student and is truly dedicated to taking the fitness industry to the next level. David loves to share ideas with other fitness professionals and encourages them to contact him to work together. His current credentials are: • NCSF CPT • AFAA CPT • IHP MMA CSCC – Level 1 • Hard Style Kettlebell Instructor • USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach (In Progress)
