This could not have been any smoother. Got an immediate response regarding the initial estimate, which was performed while I was at work. Scheduling the actual installation (on a Saturday, no less!) was smooth. Installer arrived exactly on time, and the job was done in about four hours, give or take.
Out the door price was exactly what the estimate was. That price, by way, reflects one free vent via an Angie's List printable coupon. Paid over the phone by credit card the following Monday. Super easy.
Every single person I dealt with was extremely courteous and professional. A fantastic experience!

Can't say enough good things about
Naples Glass Blocks Provider Name Locked
and his company. Not only is he very personable, but he and his assistant are professional in every way. We also thought that their quote for both the windows and installation was very reasonable for the quality product they provide. I purchased the Big Deal for this company and they redeemed promptly. On the installation day, they arrived on time, surveyed the windows that were to be removed and proceeded to get to work. After the installation, they did a very thorough clean up in all the work areas both inside and outside.
Their windows (including the air and dryer vents) are very high quality and the masonry work used to install them adds to the finished look. We are very happy that we were able to find this company and we now have 6 gorgeous glass block windows. Would highly recommend this company to our family and friends.

I have an older home 70+ that still had the original wooden windows. They had started to leak every time it rained....as in buckets full!
The owner,
Naples Glass Blocks Provider Name Locked
, came out the day after I called, he had several options & a very reasonable estimate. Due to the extent of the leakage & the forecast for more storms, he made my problem a priority! The work was done 3 days later.
The crew were wonderful! Even moved washer, dryer & utility sink before & after.....& hooked up my dryer vent to the new window!
My basement was left cleaner than before ! (shame on me)
The end result far exceeded expectations!
don't waste time calling anyone else......this company is by far the best!!!!

It went excellent. He was on time for the estimate. Gave us an install date and then actually contacted us and said he could do it earlier. He was on time for the install. Work took about four hours. he cleaned up after the work was completed. The quality is wonderful. There is no leaks, we have privacy and a higher level of security.

First, I renewed my subscription to Angie's List solely to rate this contractor.
My basement was very dark. I had plans to remodel in ways to make it brighter and updated, which included the installation of better windows. I was pleasantly surprised that
Naples Glass Blocks Provider Name Locked
was willing to come to
Naples Glass Blocks Provider Name Locked
from Columbus for this job, but found out this was part of his "service" area and routinely did projects here. The price was in line with what I had expected. The install occurred the fall of 2013.
What went right:
The windows did indeed really boost the look and the brightness of the basement. I don't regret making the decision to do the windows from that standpoint.
The crew was friendly and respectful.
What went wrong:
Gosh, where to start......
In cutting the concrete, an electrical line connecting three outlets on the front basement wall was cut, disabling the outlets. He offered to "fix" this, but I am sure glad I declined. I hired an electrician after the windows were installed.
I was not prepared for water to be passed into the basement. They were using heavy duty saws and running water over the blade to keep it cool, a lot of which went into the already finished space of the basement, soaking the carpet. Luckily for me, the carpet was on the demo list as part of the remodel. I ran a dehumidifier to try and pull out the rest of the moisture from the walls.
They shoved the air conditioner off its pad. I noticed this before they left and asked them to put it back where it belonged, which they neglected to do. I had to hire an HVAC company to do this and luckily I did, because it was discovered that the line to the air conditioner had been severed when it was pushed off the pad.
I had asked that the three windows be trimmed out on the inside with a clear pine, nothing fancy. That was done, but nothing on the interior was caulked, a lot was not square. Since one of the windows was the key to fixing the severed electrical line for the outlets, the trim had to be pulled off to access the wall behind. When the trim was pulled off, there were huge air gaps all the way around the window between the framing, the trim and the paneling on the wall. Also discovered that the trim was not tied to anything of any substance, and very few nails had been used. Hired someone to retrim the interior.
On the outside, there was no trim, the frame of the window was exposed to the outside without any attempt at winter proofing or caulking. Hired a guy to trim and finish the outside of the windows, make them look finished.
Fast forward to the epic rains of the spring of 2014. For the first time in 15 years, I had water in my basement. In attempting to diagnose how the water came in, one of the things I noticed was in the area where the water was coming in, that egress window had water standing in the bottom of it; draining very slowly. A friend and I dug down to see if drains had actually been installed and discovered that the "drain" was black plastic pipe, completely filled and covered with gravel. Not my idea of an effective draining system.
So, I called
Naples Glass Blocks Provider Name Locked
to come and take a look at the drains. This was roughly the middle of June 2014. He seemed amenable about returning and putting in a better drain with a cap that would keep the gravel out of the drain. He was supposed to call me in a few days to set up a time for his visit. He didn't call back, so within a week (roughly) I called him again. The last call I made to him, was the week before

4. He couldn't give me a schedule because by

, there were going to be fireworks all over Columbus the next week and it was a holiday. So he would have to call me after the festivities were over. Haven't heard from him since.

is as professional as it gets. I emailed him photos of my old windows and the sizes and he provided a detailed estimate over the phone/email. He also had a great price compared to his competitors. He sent his guy out quickly to do the work a few days later and they did a very nice job on the windows. Removed my 60 year old windows and cleaned everything up, then installed

. They added a dryer vent receptacle on the large window. He was in and out in a half day. The quality of the install was superb.

Contacted Mister Gutter by telephone to request estimate. Representative arrived as scheduled. He went over the house making recommendations to add and or change location of downspouts. Sketched out what he would do and told me I would have an estimate via e-mail that evening. I received the estimate as promised and it was more than 50% lower than any other estimate I received (I had 4 other estimates and they ranged from $1,300 to $1,800 for same work). It was too good to be true however I contacted Mister Gutter and they confirmed the estimate I scheduled the work for later that week. The work crew actually arrived early, went over the scope of work, asked me for feedback as the installation went along. They even used hangers instead of nails. After the work was done they cleaned up everything, swept and blew off the work area, placed the old gutters and garbage in the truck and were finished - exceeding any expectations I has, in less than two hours. First time I used Angie's list and I could not be happier. I am a subscriber for life. Well done Mister Gutter - Thanks Angie!
