"The granite looks great and the quality of installation is excellent. However, the quoted price was significantly higher than what was advertised. I was then told" that the lower price was only valid for people who order a minimum of 50 sq ft of granite. They also over charged me an extra short piece of backsplash. When I contacted them later via email, no one ever replied.

Mariutto (the owner) responded promptly to our inquiry. He suggested a material that fit our needs and budget (Hanex) and provided an attractive" quote that included enlarging the working surface significantly beyond the original dimensions. We contacted two individuals who had used
to replace their countertops with the same material and received glowing reports. So, we decided to engage him for our project. There was a bit of delay in beginning the work due to supply problems with the distributor, but
kept us updated and worked hard to make up for lost time once the appropriate materials were received. Throughout the process
and his assistant were professional and accommodating. (
even provided the name of an electrician who would install the proper outlet for our new range the same day.) We are very satisfied with the finished product—the installed countertop has the contemporary look we want and provides us with the additional counter space we need. We were so pleased with the results and with our experience working with
that we have asked him to submit a quote for a much, much larger project on the exterior of our house (
is a general contractor).

Artificial (quartz) is cheaper, more uniform, has fewer voids to collect dirt, and is almost as abrasion and chip resistant.

Granite is more expensive, stains and collects dirt a little easier as a rule, and is slighly more chip resistant as a rule.

For durability, I would not rate one over the other - barring a 250 lb guy hopping up on it and cracking it, either is likely to outlive you. Selection is typically based on appearance - quartz tends to be more uniform looking and does not always do a good job of simulating the veining and variations that natural stone has.

Now some of the man made stone counters rival the real granite and othe stones without the maintainence of stone. There are many of them out there and it is more a choice of looks than anything else. Corian is still a strong choice of tops today and one advantage is it can be repaired when scratched on site. If you don't mind the maintainence you can't beat the looks of real stone though unless you need a few pieces to make up the top as the graining may be hard to match up. I am impressed though at how realistic some of the man made products have become. It is more an issue of what brand are available in your area. Most all are made the same way with crushed stone and basically an epoxy binder used to make the sheets.

Countertop Installation reviews in Mt. Dora

I have given this business numerous installs over the last few years on various projects including a $4,725.00 job last month. Many have had their issues but this job was the worst. It began with the tear out two days ago, when their employees failed to turn off the water faucet stops under the bathroom sink in preparation for the vanity counter top removal two days ago. Problem is, even though I was standing there watching the two employees dismantle everything, I could see that the one employee was not turning his wrench the right way. I motioned to the other senior employee who took including the responsibility of turning off the water valve. The water was turned off at the

also. After the removal, the employees left and I turned the water back on few minutes later but the water valves on two of the four had not been turned off, and the upstairs bathroom flooded, including water coming thru the downstairs ceiling. Their employee returned to the property approx. ten minutes later, retrieve a tool he had left, so was able to then be shown the results of his expensive mistake. A large 8'X4' mirror became cracked during this process as well as we discovered that their removal resulted in the medicine cabinet had been ruined by these two employees; shattering the edges but never telling anybody. When he returned to get his tool, water was everywhere as we were using as shop vac to suck it all up, so while he was present, I showed him the water and damages including to the ceiling below. Now, their installers show up today, and I discover that the shop fabricators were trying to hide their mistakes of chipping the new counter tops by masking and filling with glue. I informed the installers to load it back up and take it with them as this is not acceptable. I went to the shop to complain to management and informed them of the inferior workmanship. I alledge that the two managers both informed me very angrily that this is normal to cover their chip mistakes with glue and that this is also a worldwide practise. I informed them that nobody told me this is a worldwide practise nor that this possibility exists and that if it did occur, that this would be their solution to fixing any chips (when I initially agreed to make this purchase). The main manager also tried to also justify todays quality mistakes by stating: "this is a new product for us". I have had past issues but with this weeks unacceptable service, workmanship, customer service, etc. and refusal to assist me with a different more durable product, I left and I will NEVER return to this company again nor recommend.

The whole experience was great. When I first made contact, they called me back right away. They came out to give me a quote within a couple days. I received the quote ON SITE as soon as they did some measurements and I picked out the granite sample. The other quotes I received from other companies took almost 2 weeks to provide! They installed the granite about 2 weeks later and did a fantastic job. They were so easy to work with, very professional, and had great customer service. Everyone should use them for their granite needs!

They did a great job of showing us the slab and where the seams would be. 2 days prior they verify the appointment and came out. Upon arrival they had to cut another piece and add a seam. They were able to do this with the same stone so the seam is invisible to the eye. We had a feeling the piece would have been too heavy to bring in, and that is why they had to add the seam.
Scheduling was out 3 weeks when we went in, which at first was a bummer, but once in it looks wonderful. Company was easy to work with and helpful. Would use them again!

Arrived each day @ 7 a.m. Removed old flooring & found the original floor underneath. Another contractor would have patched old floor & installed new floating floor over it.

told worker to remove old floor down to sub-floor, eliminated floor squeeks, installed luan plywood & new floor. Workmanship excellent. Job complete on time.

I had many issues with the job but Mo made everything right until the last issue when one of the undermount sinks came loose and is pulling away from the granite. Calls were ignored and appointments were made but no one showed. The guy that finally came out did not know how to fix the problem. Finally

The project went very well. They knew we were under severe availability constraints and so went out of their way to accommodate us. The service from start to finish was fantastic and the final result is absolutely gorgeous. Would recommend them without reservation based upon our experience.

We want to put the house up for sale, and the kitchen needed some updating - which we were willing to do. The kitchen is large and there's lots of counter top though, so granite, corian, etc were not an option.

showed me several viable materials and between the brochure and the website i picked a few possible patterns. The website offered samples in 2" x 3" squares, which are virtually useless (and cost $6!).

provided me with 1' x 2' sample pieces, which made the final selection so much easier and stress free. These were given to me when they came to do the templates. A week or 2 later they were back to install the counters, which they did beautifully, quickly and cleanly. They even swept up before they left!. I would recommend them highly.

It went very well. The measurement and installation process was very smooth. The people arrived when scheduled and completed the work beautifully.
