The air conditioner in our home was working hard day and night but wasn't able to drop the temperature below 78 degrees. We had six estimates for air conditioner repair (or replacement), and all six indicated that we likely needed a new air conditioning unit. However, two of the companies (one of them
Largo HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
) indicated that the greater need was replacing the duct work throughout the house since it was quite old and that even a new AC unit would not cool off our house if there was broken or inadequate ductwork.

did a thorough evaluation of the home, discussed our options, and suggested that since our AC unit was only five years old and the proper size for our home, that we might want to try new ductwork before investing in a new air conditioning system. After discussing our options, we decided to start with new ducts and see if that alone would give us greater comfort. We are so glad that we made that decision! When the crew --

returned to install the new ductwork. Even in very tight quarters and very hot temperatures,

installed the ductwork, designing a system that improved flow and we now have a very efficient cooling system. They were great! Extremely polite and professional keeping us informed of their progress throughout the day. We are thankful to
Largo HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
for troubleshooting our problem and suggesting we could start with new ductwork before buying an entirely new AC unit. When the day comes that our AC unit finally gives out, we will be calling this company. They are not the least expensive, but their professionalism is outstanding!

We purchased the AC unit that we have now from United in 2010. At that time, the price was about 20% less than the highest quote that we had received. Since then, we have only had scheduled maintenance done. Friday evening, we came home to an 82 degree house and the fan not spinning on the unit. I called at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. The person who answered the phone was peppy. She said that
Largo HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was on call and would call us. He called 10 minutes later. He was here by 1 p.m. and the AC was working within 20 minutes. We were only charged for the diagnostics and labor because the part was under warranty. The workers who have been at my house have always been personable. I especially appreciate the reasonable scheduling of the Saturday service.

was very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and answered all questions. Provided education to avoid repeated clogs in the drainage system by (1) monthly clearing with 8oz. Distilled Vinegar into drainage access pipe; and (2) raising the drain outlet by 4 inches so it would not be clogged by dirt or stones.
Owner installed 4 inch PVC pipe extention so A/C water drainage will easily drain and not get backed-up due to clogged pipe.

> ". . . on the recommendation of our property management agent, I requested a service call from your company and the service tech that responded went to our condo in the
Largo HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
area. He provided a diagnosis of why there was an on-going mold problem in the living areas. His answer was, ?. . . the A/C evaporator is infested with mold spores and the coil needs to be pulled to facilitate an acid wash treatment.? Also he recommended that installing a set of germicidal UV radiation lights would be beneficial. A grand total $2350.00 would resolve the mold condition in the A/C and in the condo living space. As we live in another state we could not be present for the service call (to witness the actual work being done by your service tech). Next thing that happens at the condo is the tenant reports the A/C blower is running continuously and a knocking sound is coming from the roof area. The noise stops when the A/C circuit breaker is turned off. Your company is called, again, to take care of this new problem and the same service tech (from the previous call) responded and said that the blower motor and the motor circuit board were in a near death state. The A/C is a Trane? split unit, and he said it had a variable speed blower motor. The repair work for this new problem would cost $2000.00+ or, possibly, the recommended thing to do would be the replacement of the air handler and condenser for $7000.00+. Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice shame on you. I called a highly recommended HVAC contractor for a second opinion. His service call resulted in a much different finding of the facts and they are: 1. The blower motor is single speed and working properly. 2. The fan run relay was defective and needed to be replaced. 3. The newly installed UV lights were not operating, line voltage was present. 4. The evaporator coils HAD NOT BEEN ACID WASHED. At this time, I'm expecting a FULL refund of all monies that I paid to your company. The above mentioned points support a complete intent to defraud. As of this date I still have not received a detailed invoice, the work order* that was sent to me is not an invoice. What I received did not have; an itemization of the labor units, a list of the materials used, or the cost for the UV lights and I have not received an acknowledgment of the bill being paid in full. I have enclosed a redacted copy of the work order/invoice from the company (the second opinion contractor) that did the repair work at the condo. * (incorrectly dated, it was marked 4-31-14, April has only 30 days. Our bank acct. was debited on May 5th) . . ."

We recently purchased condo as a rental property and the tenant reported that the A/C was running nonstop. The cooling was OK but the on/off switch on the thermostat would not turn the blower off. I called a HVAC contractor (on the recommendation of a third party) and placed a service call to diagnose the problem and give his recommendation on a course of action. He said that the A/C had a variable speed blower motor and the motor circuit board were defective and needed to be replaced. The repair work would cost approximately $2000.00.

Upon receiving that news I called "
Largo HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
." for a second opinion of a problem with the A/C and
Largo HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
went to the condo the following day. The findings from his visit were:

1. The blower motor is a single speed and working properly.

2. The fan run relay was defective and needed to be replaced.

3. The newly installed UV lights were not operating, although line voltage was present.

Largo HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
replaced the relay for a total bill of $187.00 and now the A/C is operating normally. The UV lights are covered under a warranty provided by the contractor that did that installation and
Largo HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
did not attempt to repair the lights.

The first contractor gave a quote of $2000.00+ to do a
Largo HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
job that when all was said and done cost only $187.00.

I was pleased starting with the first call to set an appointment.
Largo HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
came out and was friendly and took his time. For the first time since I bought the house 7 years ago, I felt like I got my money's worth on my A/C. I enjoyed speaking with him and got some great knowledge about my system - which no one really cared to do in the past. Even when I asked! I will likely get on an annual maintenance plan with them and will get an estimate to replace/resize (previous owner added to the house but didn't properly duct or size the system) in the future. Happy!

The technician found a setting that needed to be changed in the thermostat and corrected the problem. The service was good however I was charged for the service call ($59) and to program the thermostat ($195), which I feel is too much as only one setting was changed which took a few minutes.

it went well for the first year and a half, but they forgot me after that on a 3 year contract. paper work did not mention duration of contract, but they said they would honor the 3 year and add for the missed followup half way through the contract. not great and not poor. they did install insulation to quiet the units (2) for free and that was very good.
