"I am listing this to save people some time. I called today to get an estimate and I was told that they would not even come out and do an estimate for at least five" months (forget scheduling the work). Additionally they were unwilling to take down my information so that I could even setup an appointment five months in the future. don't bother even calling at this point. they have more work than they know what to do with and they clearly acted that way over the phone. He was also unable/ unwilling to give any suggestions about other contractors that do this work in the area. I was pretty much at a loss for words not sure I've ever had a contractor be so utterly unhelpful in all respects.

"During a property inspection, the inspector found a supporting post missing at where two girders meet under the raised foundation.
is the" company recommended by the inspector. Called up the owner
and he told me to email him the inspection report on the post. He came over on Sat and did his own inspection. He explained to me what should be done. His crew showed up on-time on the day of the repair. While they were clearing away the dirt to make room for the new cement block the crew discovered a 'underpin' already in place which reduced the amount of work they have to do. Because of that,
offered to reduce the price because his crew did not have to do the work quoted. That was a pleasant surprise to me. It never happened like that before. I am very happy with the work done by
. I feel much better about the structure of the property.
treated his customer fairly and I know I don't have to second guess his recommendation, his expertise and pricing when I deal with him. I would recommend him to anybody who have problems with the foundation.

Earthquake Retrofitting reviews in Largo

Very smoothly, Workers were professional. They consulted me when there were options or decisions about how things would be finished. There was a slight delay due to slow processing for the permit. They finished the interior spaces above my expectations. I would hire them again.

This company was almost 3 months out when I made my appointment. But I went with them anyhow - they were the clear choice. I kind of geeked out (researching as best as I could) about the options out there for seismic upgrade. I feel lucky to have picked these guys as one of my three contractors to bid... they were the middle bid (with the other bids being quite wild in the high and low directions!). Big bonus for coming up with the right physics answers. (Really, it's surprising to see the variation of "opinions" out there regarding what is needed to hold your house together in case of THE BIG ONE.)
Then, it was actually quite shocking when I called two days before our scheduled appointment and they said they were planning on being there at 8AM on they day they scheduled! They were able to keep to their schedule for three months with no surprises coming up?!
So they showed up, and everything went great. Super diligent work crew. I would send any of my friends to them.

I bought a 1969 split-level that was built to questionable standards.

performed a seismic retrofit (anchoring the house to the foundation, and the first floor to the groundfloor, stiffening the corners).

and his crew were an absolute delight to work with. They walked me through the options and came up with a plan suitable for my situation. They performed the work within schedule and budget and left the downstairs cleaner then they found it. They worked with me on accommodating other contractors that were in and out at the same time.
If you need a seismic retrofit, I can only recommend them highly.

The job went very well.

came out initially to bid the project and returned to rebid with an expanded project scope. On the day of the project, the crew arrived promptly at 8:15 am and stayed until 6:30 pm to complete all of the demo and strapping work. They took care of the permit drawings and inspection the next day. The drywall took a few days because we discovered a plumbing issue, but the crew returned and matched the walls perfectly so you couldn't tell the difference. The job site was kept clean and well organized and the construction waste was stacked neatly outside and disposed of after the project. I would recommend

team showed up exactly on schedule of the day of service. They were courteous and polite and proceeded to work promptly. The team of 6 worked efficiently and effectively together, moving concrete, steel, and tools from the truck to the work locations under the residence. The work was performed per my prior coordination, and the job was finished ahead of schedule. Being a handy person, I inspected the work personally and was impressed with quantity and quality of the results achieved in a short time span. One final benefit they offered was to allow installment payments for my job. A year later as we are finishing up the payment schedule, all work is holding together well, with no complaints.

, the owner, came out and spent a good deal of time examining our basement and explaining what a basic retrofit for insurance purposes would entail and also gave us additional seismic upgrade options.
He sent the bid about a week later and it seemed reasonable, so we didn't pursue other bids. We opted to go beyond what homeowner's insurance required since it was only an additional $800.

We spent an afternoon or two moving our stuff away from walls and support posts so that they could easily get to them. He said there was no need to move all of our bookcases out of the way. We covered much of our items in plastic but, in the end, there was minimal concrete dust generated (they vacuum as they drill) so, in our case, this was probably an unnecessary step.

His crew of three came about a month after our initial contact and completed the work in less than a day. We were home at the time, and it was noisy, as he had warned, but certainly no worse than being re-roofed. The inspector came the next day and signed off on their work. Then

came by a couple of days later to do the final walk-thru and saw some things he thought his crew had missed. So a week after the initial work, he sent one crew member out to add a bit more bracing. We really appreciated his thoroughness.

Overall we were pleased with their work and would recommend that anyone thinking about retrofitting just have it done. A few days of inconvenience sure beats the long-term inconvenience and huge cost of having your house bounce off its foundation when the "big one" hits.

Overall, good communication with the contractor.
He is very thorough and knows his stuff.
I liked the fact that he and just 1 helper did all the work -
There were lots of complications - but nothing of that was the contractor's fault. It is just extremely difficult to incorporate the new structural requirements in an old building.

We're selling my late mothers home. Since it is a manufactured home, the lender demanded a foundation inspection 1 week before we were scheduled to close, (something the appraiser missed). They determined that although the home wasn't required to be strapped to the foundation when it was set in place in 1995, it needed them now before they would send the paperwork to the title company. I contacted

and he came to look at it the same day. He said that he could knock the job out right away and the estimate was something we could live with. We hired him on the spot.

investigated and discovered that the specs that the engineer gave us were not up to code for that type of structure and that he would not do the job unless it meant installing the straps to meet the current building code. We agreed and gave him the go ahead. The job was completed correctly, in a timely manner and within his estimate! Thanks
