Home Remodeling Reviews in Lake Worth

Let me start by stating I have never felt such a compelling need to write a review for services rendered until now. We have had such a horrific experience with
that I could not – with good conscience – allow another
person to go through what we have.
calls himself a “contractor” but in reality, and as expressed by many of his
subs, “doesn’t have a clue”. In fact, one of his subs “will no longer be doing business with
as I cannot afford
to be associated with him” my husband and I being yet another of his customers affected by
’s wrath of incompetency.
I guess I’ll start with the fact that we are now approaching one year for a 720 square foot garage/work shop build.
If you still feel compelled to read on – here are the highlights:
Incorrectly installed windows – ok doesn’t sound like a big deal – but neighbors, even our postman, observed the error while
insisted they were installed correctly. It wasn’t until we explained the plans and the correct installation to
that he admitted the error.
We finally fired
and took over the project recently, only to find out that his electrical sub did not follow the plans
(and that’s an understatement). So far off was he that we had to engage our architect to draw up another set of
electrical plans before we could go to final electrical inspection!
So if you are not yet convinced – the following example should leave no room for doubt. After tearing up our front beds to install plumbing from the new garage/work shop bathroom to our existing septic,
“discovered” the slope wasn’t enough without installing a lift station (pump). He then explained that “in order to avoid a month of revision submittals for the lift addition and $500 in revision fees “I’m going to use my good ‘ole boys club to get this done for you”. One month later there was absolutely NO progress and MORE excuses. After we fired
I quickly got the revision approved – not having to use “the good ‘ole
boys club”.
– in case you are reading this – let me further educate you. The revision took all of 2 days and $115 at the PBC Building Dept. and 1 day and $85 at the Health Dept. Do you even KNOW how these departments work?????
In closing you are probably thinking this guy was cheap. Let me assure you he doesn’t even have that going for him. And
will say we made changes to the plan that delayed the project (he has a myriad of excuses and outright
for every mistake/delay by the way). Any change to the original plans came as a direct result of an oversight by
– there is absolutely nothing I can say to give him the benefit of the doubt for anything that has gone wrong with this project – and I consider myself a fair person.
Again – my only motivation for the above review is to “save” you from
. I could go on another 5 pages – but by now you should have a good idea why NOT to hire
for your job.

has done a beautiful job, I can not say enough about the quality of his work!
My renovation was a result of an insurance claim, which occurred on October 12th, 2013. The insurance company required us to use a managed repair program. Which, I must say, it was very poorly managed. The contactor that was assigned to our job, I would not recommend. After several months of waiting, they sent out a demo crew in the beginning of February, to tear out our master bedroom, closets and bathroom tile, etc. Then they brought in a tile crew who had no clue what the were doing and should definitely not been working on a custom bathroom. Not to be mean, but it was as though the were sending out day laborers. They treated our home as if it was a new construction sight, not an occupied home. After taking almost 3 months to do a 3-4 week job, they done a horrible job on the bathroom tile, ruined our grass, our pavers & iron fence are covered in thinset or
. They made a horrible mess of our home and it will probably take us a year to get all of the dust out.
To make a very long story short, our bathroom had to be torn out for the second time and after what the first crew had done there was no way we were allowing them back to do any work in our home.
Therefore, we insisted that the contractor find an experienced tile company to do the job and this is when
& his partner Assadi came in to look at what needed to be done. We were very lucky to find such a great crew to do the job. They were there the following week, and our bathroom was torn out for the second time. They were very respectful of our home and never once, did they leave the work area messy. They took pride in their work, were constantly cleaning up after themselves, vaccuming and took all trash with them at the end of the work day. A total night and day difference, from our first experience with the other company.
I am very happy to say, that they have very promptly, professionally and beautifully completed our renovation, in less than 3 weeks! Thank you SO much!

They performed a quick clean out of the affected area, replaced the cover with a new heavier fiberglass cover instead of the old plastic cover and backfilled the hole and replaced the sod. Excellent work quality displayed by both service techs along with a welcome amount of professionalism, job knowledge (how to help prevent future breaks along with service recommendations and maintenance intervals as we were new to septic).
Hospitality along with the above mentioned traits go a long way in building customer loyalty. We will be called

for our future service needs.

First off, overall I'd hire
Lake Worth Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his team again, however I think I'd make sure I'm there in person to oversee the work at each step.
We had just closed on a new home and asked
Lake Worth Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
to come in and do two projects:
1) Add a wall in the garage separating 4.5 feet from the rest of the garage, include a sealed door with deadbolt. (Eventually moved existing deadbolt to this door).
2) Knock out wall in Pantry to expose the 'under stairs' area, which we wanted to utlize as a larger pantry. Asked that the new area be finished just like the rest of the pantry with drywall, painting, trim, and tile. (Tile was to be supplied by me).
They arrived on time the first day but unfortunately I was unable to be at the job site. I had to relay information through my brother who was on site to let them in.
The first area had some initial confusion about electrical that was to be wired by a 2ndary contractor, but in the end it worked out and
Lake Worth Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
's team went above and beyond by pre-wiring some of the new wall for my electricians. They also installed a spring hinge on the door to let it close automatically.
They completed the wall by the first day and had to come back a 2nd day to sand/paint the wall. They used a 'primer' only initially and after it dried, it was clearly in need of actual paint. Since it was something I asked for in the contract they went ahead and painted it, but it took a few more visits and a lot longer than it should have. When they arrived they did not have any white wall paint as agreed upon. They asked if I had any spare paint from the painters who had just completed the house, but I did not have any white. They asked if it'd be ok to paint the wall the same as the interior of the house and I told them it needs to match the rest of the room. Either purchase and paint it white as the contract states, or they could use the interior paint I had extra from our painters. The only issue was if they wanted to use the new color and my paint, they needed to paint all four walls. They understood this, but when I went back to check, they only did the one wall in the new color, and said they had no more time to do the other 3 walls.
The under stair area went much better at first. The area was cleared and walled by the first day, and I brought the tile on the 2nd morning. I had explained to
Lake Worth Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
during our initial conversation that the area needed to match the other part of the pantry, but I wasn't there when they started to put tile down. The rest of the house has the tile on a Diagonal , but they decided to tile the new area in a typical square pattern. The result is we have a pantry with half the floor on a diagonal, a small threshold separator and the rest is square. I suppose it's my fault for not being their when they started, but if I were laying tile next to existing tile, at least I'd ask if it should match the rest or not. They also ran the wire in this area for a new light fixture that we neglected to think about so that was very convenient for our electrician. When they left for the day on the 2nd day I asked when they'd return to do the grouting and finish the pantry area, and was told they'd be there by 9am on Saturday. I later learned from another contractor that was there, that the workers mentioned "We aren't coming on Saturday", despite what
Lake Worth Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
told them. Sure enough, 9am came and no one was there to complete the pantry. I ended up texting
Lake Worth Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
and after a few more hours the guys showed up around 12:30 to finish the grout, but were clearly not happy about it. Finally when they came after the grout set to install the baseboards, I noticed they only had 3" baseboards when the rest of the house and pantry clearly has 5". They said "This is what the boss gave me". I didn't press things at this point as I wanted to get this completed as we were already 2 days longer than expected.
The end result of the pantry is that it was done well, but some of the items done should have been different and would have been had I thought to watch them more closely. (tile orientation and baseboards).
The end result of the new wall is that it is functionable, but still has a few flaws. I noticed last night that the paint job on the outside of the wall is still too thin, and you can see every seam and drywall tape. The interior part of the wall actually has a few buckles where the drywall meets, and the paint could use a 2nd coat.
All in all I'd still recommend
Lake Worth Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his team for the following reasons:
Lake Worth Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked

2) Pricing is very reasonable
3) Most of the work completed was done so properly, if just not to my personal preference.

Lake Worth Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
did an excellent job on our plumbing repair. He was able to come out the same day - which was awesome - and after evaluating the problem he explained it in detail, as well as what he would need to do to to fix it. His pricing was very fair and he stayed till the job was done even though there were unforeseen complications and he ended up being here longer than expected.
Lake Worth Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
is a really nice guy and wanted us to be satisfied with his service. It was a good experience and we definitely plan to use him in the future. Thanks

I contacted 4 contractors from Angie's List in early
Lake Worth Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
from my home in Colorado with the intent of meeting up with them at my home in Florida to get a quote on the work listed above.
Lake Worth Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was the only company to return my call...AND within 3 hours of my phone message! That was my first indication of the high professionalism & dependability of
Lake Worth Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
. The crew that he picks must also work at his level of quality, and he's always there to go over all work with a fine tooth comb. He contracted with me to do the work I needed with a firm start & end date, and he finished a day early...amazing!

is a person who knows that making his customers really happy with his work and doing so with the highest ethics is his most important goal, AND he succeeds at every turn. His carpentry work and knowledge of all areas of renovation is to perfection, but the added bonus is his creativity. We collaborated on the design of a ceiling tray in my dining room, and the end result was a work of art! As well, he mounted a creative art piece into the wall of my entry & built a custom frame around it...HIS idea, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. So, all you have to do is ASK, and
Lake Worth Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
is there to find a way to accomplish the task.We are scheduled to complete the upstairs of our town home in November & I am completely confident that the same high quality of service will prevail.Do yourself a favor and give this guy a

is hands down the most versatile handyman I have ever known. I have yet to see anything he couldn't do. And he does it with a smile on his face. He is well dressed, well groomed and well mannered, I have recommended him to several of my neighbors and friends. They all agree. He's a jewel!

made my kitchen remodel experince MOST bearable, even during visits from out of town guests.Having and keeping to a schedule was very important for the success of this endeavor. I was unaware of the intricacies of electrical rewring and movement of plumbing pipes. This contractor hired superb experts for these tasks and followed through on all aspects of permits. I felt so comfortable that no corners were being cut. the contractor answered my countless questions about what was being done and why. boy, does that provide a sense of security. I was so comfortable with this contractor's integrity, I was able to leave him in my home alone while i met other appointments. His work ethic and workmanship were impeccable. I will be using him for my next remodel project.
