"They had to come out twice. The first time the representative serviced the Heat Pump on one one side of the house. However, he said there was a problem with the A/C unit on the other side of the house which needed to be fixed before he could service it. As far as I could tell he did a competent job on the Heat Pump. I had to use a different company to fix the A/C unit because I have a Home Warranty. However the problem suggested by the first representative from Service One was inaccurate regarding what was wrong with the A/C unit. Plus he seemed to be an alarmist, saying the A/C unit from 2006 was too old and needed to be replaced soon, same for the Heat Pump. The Heat Pump is very old but still works. I felt he was mostly trying to sell me stuff, which always sets off alarms with me. Once the A/C unit was fixed, a different representative came out from Service One to service it and I liked him better. He was instructive regarding how to maintain the unit and not an alarmist, although he still left a pamphlet for a new type of water heater (I think the first guy might have done that too). I expect service people to be instructive but not alarmists who push products and services. That may be more likely the fault of the company expecting their representatives to do sale when they make service calls.

I am very nosey about such things so I can understand when something goes wrong and proper maintenance. What I liked most is that neither tried to use scare tactics to get me to buy more services.

"Our A/C was not working when Service One AirConditioning came out, the guy told me I needed a new compressor. He then asked if I would like to schedule an appointment with a sales rep. He told that there is available financing. When someone tells they have available financing, I know it will be expensive but he never gave me a price. I told him that I will call the office when I was ready for a sales rep because I wanted my husband to be home to discuss any large purchase items. I then called another provider and it ended up being the compressor switch which was a whole lot cheaper than getting a whole new compressor and no financing was needed. The rep from Service One was professional and prompt, but I guess he was not that knowledgeable unless the company is pressuring their reps to get people to buy new units.

"The technician that comes is excellent and very good about telling us what is going on, I don't know when they are finally dispatched, but I know that the tech's are good about notifying that they are on their way and then letting us know that they are about to work at the house. The issue comes when you call for service, tank fill, repair or questions. The Customer Service staff automatically puts you on hold for 15 - 20 min minimum, in trying to get the tank filled, getting an actual day that they would be at the house was typically like a horoscope, dates ranged from 4 - 10 days. At least the cable company gives you a four hour window on a specific day. Repairs are a different thing altogether, the schedule for a service visit can range from 1 to 2 weeks, that's as close as I can get them even if they show up the next day. They don't give call backs when they say they will, send the poor tech out with the incorrect parts, even after several visits, and don't do follow up calls to let the customer know what is going on, what is the next step is and when it is expected to take place. It took near a month to fill our tank after several calls and having the csr tell me that they must have forgot to schedule the visit...twice. we've been trying to get the pool spa heater working since June with their help, now it's Sept and it appears it will be mid Oct before my disabled Mom and Dad can use their spa for rehab, as we are waiting for parts yet again for a pool heater that is a standard in the industry a

"The technician quoted us nearly 5 times the internet price on the part. The total estimate with labor came to 7 times the part. I asked the tech about the pricing and he packed up and left as if he was busted in a channel six investigation. I never received an acceptable explanation and now they refuse to service us. WATCH OUT FOR THIS COMPANY AND GET SEVERAL QUOTES.
We got our problem fixed for a third of what this company was quoting us. It took the other technician less than 30 minutes to install the part.

"I liked their price. They absolutely knew what they were doing. They came in, were confident and did the work within one day. They did a followup call and also put me on the maintenance plan. They gave me various options in terms of the ones they recommended when I was first going to buy the new unit. I have actually saved about $80 on my electric bill a month with this new unit, even though I leave the temperature at the same level. This new unit has really worked out for me. It definitely was a good price. I would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future; in fact, they will be coming back again this Friday for a tune-up."

"About the same price as everyone else but a system that was designed to compliment all the components. Also, much better service. Covered what I would need in addition to just a swap-out and gave me lots of options. This worked out very well as the unit is extremely quiet and REALLY cools the house - even areas that used to not cool hardly at all. Not only replaced AC unit but did quite a bit of duct-work. Some communications problems between the salesperson and the people that actually do the work but they made good on everything. City inspector and Florida Power inspector were impressed with their work. My only thing is that I would have preferred the salesperson coming out and going over what is supposed to be done with the install crew rather than me. They had a worksheet but that's not the same as seeing where things go (like ducts)."

He even followed up after the fact to make sure that everything was okay. He does a good job and loves doing it. He doesn't do it for the money. He has a really good heart."
