" The morning of the the first surgery, I saw and talked to Dr.
. The surgery, on my right eye, was successful. At the post-op appointment," Dr.
said I had responded well to the procedure. (I should add that this surgery cost me almost $1000 above Medicare.) The second surgery (although covered by Medicare) on my left eye, was a nightmare from the start. Because they had not fully sedated me, I heard conversation among those in the room and even heard music playing. I joined in the conversation by commenting on one of Dr.
's ads that I had seen on TV the night before. The response from the doctor was not what I expected, and the voice was one I had not heard before. There was a kind of suppressed
because of the mix-up, and I realized that something was wrong. Indeed, I had not seen Dr.
before surgery--in fact, I had seen no doctors at all. At that time, I could only think of getting out of there, but I could not move. In the next instant, I was fully sedated. The nightmare continued following the surgery. An ever-present glare plagued my eye, as well as a persistent pain. At the post-op appointment, I didn't see Dr.
, as before. I saw his son,
, who had been added to the staff some time after I first inquired about surgery. He seemed unconcerned about the pain and the glare. At one point, he exclaimed that the eye looked so good that he would be proud to say that he done the surgery. At that point, I just wanted the nightmare to end. But the nightmare went on. When I insisted on seeing Dr.
, the father, I was stonewalled and told that he only did surgery. When I did see him, some time later, I asked, "Did you operate on my left eye." He stammered and said, "I can't remember." With help from his nurse, a document was found but I could not find his name/initials. Later, after much delay by
's staff, including an attempted physical intervention by his personnel manager (
), I got a copy of the surgical report , and the initials are that of the son,
. I reported the matter to the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. In time, they sent a reply, saying that they could not support Board action against "Dr.
'" medical license." I responded, pointing out they had investigated the wrong doctor. Their response was to send what was labeled as "corrected letters." I write this review as a warning. Why have I waited this long to speak out when my experience occurred in 2012? Because I recently received an email from a friend, who told me that she was contemplating cataract surgery with
. She went on to write that her optometrist told her to insist on having the father or walk out. Based on my experience, that's my advice, too. Better yet, don't walk in. End the nightmare before it begins.

"They're outstanding. He carefully screens patients before he accepts them for treatment, to be sure that he can actually be helpful, with the surgery. He doesn't" take every client who comes to him. I think that's really important. He is very thorough in his exams and with the follow-up. He also has an outstanding staff who are also highly trained. He's also highly trained and is involved with current technology. He's also highly regarded in the profession. He did a wonderful job and I'm more than happy with the surgery I had.

The surgery went very well. I had to have a second surgery in March on one of my eyes after it had healed. I was told from the beginning that if anyone would have to have a second surgery it would be me as the astigmatism in my eye was very bad. I was also told that it would not help me to see to read very fine print as I had started having that issue. The Dr. explained the procedure very well and the staff was always courteous. I had only one visit of many that for some reason they overlooked me and I had to wait an extra half hour after my appointment time. They were very apologetic after they found out they overlooked me.

Surgery was explained to me and I had no surprises since all ran like clockwork. I arrived early in the morning and was promptly helped and taken to the back surgery area which was clean and organized. The support staff was fabulous . The two doctors are fabulous . Not hoping for additional surgery but I would go back. The doctors checked me and double checked me out and all is well. Fees are stated clearly and reasonable for the services rendered. Class act all around.

The office itself has a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The staff, from receptionist to surgeon, is professional, friendly and helpful (but never condescending), organized and highly skilled. A preliminary exam used what appears to be state-of-the-art equipment; great fun if you're technology-oriented! Surgeries are scheduled in groups, so it was as efficient as an assembly line, but never impersonal. There was some discomfort when the anesthesia to numb the eye was injected, but the surgery itself was quick and painless, I was sent home with a thorough explanation of what to expect for the next few hours, full instructions for follow-up care, and an appointment for the next morning. I had no problems, but I'm confident that if there had been problems, they would have been handled as skillfully as the surgery itself. Great bunch of people! Bonus for those who need it: a van is available for transportation

Did not go perfectly. |we were hoping for needing only reading glasses. My wife still needs bifocals, just a less powerful Rx. Doctor never said she would not need glasses. He indicated she would probably only need readers. Followup surgery was required in the office to clear up a fogging of the implants. |Dr

It went very well. The staff is very friendly. The waiting area is very nice. He is very professional. He is very knowledgable. He keeps up to date on services and his equipment. He does an additional test on my eyes because I'm diabetic. He sends my results to my general practitioner.

They were extremely professional., friendly and helpful. The first time my lenses were made, they said that it was slightly off and insisted that they redo them. I had previously gone to another optician who made a big deal about how difficult my eyes were to correct and that I would be unable to get proper lenses elsewhere. But, the redo on my lenses were perfect and I appreciate their insistence on doing the job right. I have also have gone in several times to get my glasses tighten and they have always done a great job. As well as they have adjusted my wife's glasses even though she did not get them there. The staff has always been very courteous and helpful and I would absolutely suggest them to a friend.
