is very professional, responsive, and informative. He provided a detailed scope of work and clear explanation of how he would proceed." He started work as agreed and, when the work took longer than he expected, he worked on Sunday to complete it in time for our contractors to start work on Monday as planned. He communicated changes in the scope (had to open the clapboard outside to find the weights) and he provided details about how to paint the windows so that they do not stick or damage the mechanism. This was not a turnkey job. We had to purchase the hardware and paint the windows, but his instructions were spot on. And we got added benefits from his deep knowledge of old homes, woods, and construction. He even made recommendations about the layout of the kitchen remodel. We have scheduled him to return to work on the windows in the kitchen after the remodel.

"Installer was on time and did a great job! But, sales person, who gave me his card and said to call if I had any questions: "Never" returned any of my calls!

Not really.  If the contractor is very careful and you are really lucky he might be able to pull them out and then reinstall them after the new cabinets are installed.  A lot of this will have to do with how well the counters were installed in the first place.  Also, the existing countertops may not line up with the new cabinets exactly in some areas as well as they do now.  The better option is to have the cabinets refaced, leaving the boxes and tops in place.  Unlless you have deteriorating particle board cabinets you should be able to get a carpenter to do this.  If you decide to remove the countertops and install new cabinets factor in new tops and be pleasantly surprised if they can be reinstalled afterall.  Realize you probably won't find a contractor willing to gurantee not damaging the tops.  If you do, dig in and research him well.  He likely doesn't have enough experience.

IF dirty enough to make for a musty odor, then paint won't stick to them properly anyway. Paint is not your solution - you probably need a Deep Cleaning. Try to pin down what types of smell it is - if damp, mildewy; rotten food; or musty fabric - will help guide you to the source maybe. Another thing to do is keep all doors closed for a full day when outside temp is such that furnace and A/C can be turned off - then walk around the house, sniffing - preferably with 2 people - and see if one room is the major contributor. I have played this game, and found all the following as sources of musty smells: 1) linen in a closet without ventilation going slightly mildewy 2) water leak in walls or floors enough to cause mold but not drywall staining or visible water 3) carpets needing cleaning 4) water leak in bath or kitchen leaking under floor, causing mold there which is not pronounced in smell because under the flooring 5) attic mildew/mold from leaks or moisture condensation on insulation/wood 6) moldy plants outside - left in garden/flower bed in fall, so rotted in winter/spring 7) clothes in closets touching outside wall, so in very cold weather acted as insulator and let freezing front come to inside of wall, causing frost and moisture to buildup there from the inside moisture, eventually causing mildew/mold (same process as condensation/ice on inside of windows with curtains over them) 8) failure to clean behind kitchen appliances and under sink, or under washer/dryer/dishwasher at least when repaired or changed out 9) heavy lint accumulation in bathroom fan going mildewy 10) grease trap in kitchen exhaust fan never cleaned 11) washing machine going moldy - run a cycle of towels or such with bleach and Borax 12) the number one cause I have found - clothes stacked in closets or hope chests or such for decades get very musty even if clean and ventilated

As long as the counter is big enough Corian is one of the easier ones to work with. Since it does not have the ground or crushed stone that some of the other material have you can work with normal woodworking tools. A saw with a fine tooth carbide blade and a professional grade router with the proper shaped carbde bit can be used if the edge needs finishing. A belt sander helps on cuts also. The only problem you might have is if you need the joint kits for seaming as I dont think you can buy them.

When Corian first came out I could buy the slabs and fabricate my own tops and then Dupont went to a certified distributor system and would no longer sell to those of us that had been working with it for years. I will admit that they did have reasons for this as not all that were working with the product were doing it right.

Cabinet Making reviews in Indiantown

We were very happy with Premier.
Indiantown Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
, the owner, is both knowledgeable and personable. We got along great. He understood our ideas for the kitchen perfectly, and added a lot of his own to the project. We were impressed with how detailed and inclusive his proposal was. As the project proceeded, they proved to be very accommodating and flexible when changes were proposed, as they usually are on a project like this. The upgrades we asked for did incur some additional cost, but were quite reasonable. Other modifications were done with no additional cost at all. We are also very pleased with the quality of the material and workmanship of the cabinets and very happy with the counter top. For the most part, Premier stayed on schedule, but there were a few delays due to illness and one of the sub contractors. After that, worked zipped along smoothly until it was done. Everyone is quite impressed with our new kitchen (including us).

I would strongly recommend
Indiantown Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
if you are looking for kitchen cabinets.
Indiantown Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
arrived at the job site quickly to take measurements and provide a quote. He was very easy to work with on the cabinet layouts and style selection, helping weigh the pros and cons of different levels of quality. The turnaround time was very reasonable and the cabinets were delivered in good condition, although on this job I had a different person install them. Overall they look great and seem to be holding up quite well. The pricing was very reasonable and I did receive several other bids on the project from other companies. Overall a good experience and I look forward to working with him again.
- Jonathan B.

I was very disappointed and dissatisfied with the end product and the service I received from the owner. The product had inferior construction and substandard craftsmanship and was unacceptable. 82% of the cabinets were damaged with crack caulked corners or busted with exposed screws upon delivery.

It went not so well. I'm not sure where to start but I will give it a go. Our contractor recommended we go with
Indiantown Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
so we drove to
Indiantown Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
to look the plant over, take a tour and talk to the salesman. Given what we had seen at other cabinet shops that did custom work they seemed of equal quality. We already had the plans and design work done by two very reputable local firms so we knew they were right. That was last April (2015). First we had an installation date in June, then
Indiantown Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
, and finally the first week of August was agreed on. Well, they were not ready in August and they just kept putting us off. Four weeks to match the stain we wanted, then they "ran out of the veneer" we picked for the cabinets. In late September the cabinets were delivered and unpacked by their folks.
Indiantown Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
was also the installer. Several of the cabinets did not fit or were cut at the wrong angle so they had to go back. The outcome was another wait for the cabinet to be recut, still no drawers as they were wrong. We have a garage full of appliances that can't go in because the cabinets are not all in and again we are waiting. Hopefully this week we hope to hear from them. I think the company probably does okay work. If their moto is for excellance they failed miserably. Given the oportunity I would not do business with our salesman, "
Indiantown Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
", again. There are many good companies out there that will do a good job and listen to your concerns, this is not one of them.
- Richard G.

We interviewed a number of different carpenters/cabinet builders for this project, and
Indiantown Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
stood out as being incredibly detailed oriented. While not the lowest cost proposal, his bid was competitive, and the time and effort he put into the proposal made it a
Indiantown Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
decision for us to work with
Indiantown Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
Even to just put together the proposal,
Indiantown Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
spent hours discussing the project with us and measuring all the subtle details of our upstairs space. Like many houses in
Indiantown Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
, our walls, ceilings and floors were far from perfect, and the narrow stairwell up to our top floor provided considerable challenge and forethought for this project. His proposal outlined each step in detail, and a clear breakdown of labor, materials, and timing.
When work finally began in our home, he was timely and professional (he was also fantastic and dealing with our somewhat difficult 12 lbs rat terrier dog). He spent ~1 week with him and a partner installing the cabinetry. He worked hard, often until ~7 pm, and was happy to discuss the details and any issues that came up throughout the day and looked for our input when appropriate.
While he did not explicitly coordinate other contractors to do the electrical and painting work, he had great suggestions and provided introductions, and the other contractors clearly had a lot of respect for the work
Indiantown Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
performs, which was further reassuring.
By the end of the project, his attention to detail and thoughtfulness came through. The closets and drawers look and function great, with trimming that matches our existing door trims, great hardware that he helped us select, and seamless integration into our existing space.
The project came in a little over his estimate, but we had agree to a fixed cost structure, so we didn't need to pay anything extra. But, he clearly wasn't trying to rush the work at the end to stay within his estimate, and based on the great work he performed, we decided to give him a generous tip to help cover some of the cost overrun.
I would have no hesitation to recommend
Indiantown Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
for anyone looking for high quality custom cabinetry and look forward to working with him again for our next project.

Within the past month I re-located to this area from Northern Virginia. Prior-to & continuing after the move-in, I've made upgrades to the house. For each project we've consulted multiple vendors. For the TV & refrigerator we reviewed dozens of models in addition to multiple vendors. Having said that, after about a week of un-packing, I realized there was a storage problem for items that are primarily mine. Being new here & unfamiliar with local providers - I looked on Angie's List & saw Shelf Genie listed first, so I called the "800" number. A pleasant agent answered almost immediately & set-up an appointment at my house within two days.

At the appointed time, two consultants showed-up. I explained the problem that my new house lacked the type of closet that my prior residence lacked in which I stored these items. I gave them free rein to look throughout the house to devise a plan in the area they deemed feasible. They settled on a corner in a windowless room that we're using for storage. The plan was to build a floor-to-ceiling drawer & shelf unit. That seemed feasible to me & being frustrated that I had these items still sitting in their packing boxes, I decided to proceed with the plan.
Later that evening I showed it to my wife. She wasn't as enthusiastic as I was & reminded me that we didn't do anything, including move here, without examining multiple offers/plans. So, the next day I called on of the designers that I leaped too soon & I wanted to put the brakes on this for a bit to seek other bids. She was very understanding & agreed. So I went back to Angie's List & found two other highly-rated providers.
The other two offered basically the same type of plan - converting a highly under-utilized bedroom closet such that it could still hold the hanging clothes in there now + all the things from the old closet. With three plans in-hand we reviewed the plusses and minuses of each proposal. In the end, we decided that one of the other plans was the best for us. This allows us to keep that space in the spare room for other things. And I'd be less than forthright if I did not say that the prices factored into the equation.
This was the costliest of the three proposals. It was also the the highest quality, utilizing real wood to construct the drawer unit, after re-measurement by their carpenter. Both the others rely on just the measurements of their designers. But we determined that the latter is sufficient for a storage unit that no guests would ever see inside a spare room. Both of the other companies use a 3/4" veneer in their construction, which ought to be strong enough to support the items to be stored & we felt confident that the designers measurements would be adequate.
Shelf Genie was very understanding with my request to explore other options & ultimately select a different company. I have no doubt that their plan would have solved the storage problem, but keeping that extra space free at a

cost was our best option.

Indiantown Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
did an excellent job communicating, fitting us into his busy schedule and performing an OUTSTANDING installation job. He normally works on larger projects so I think we were just able to catch him on a slow day.
Indiantown Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
is EXTREMELY detailed with his work, which is exactly what we wanted when dealing with tolerances down to 1/32". He completed the work on time and provided better quality than we could have hoped for. I now know who I am going to call when I need more cabinet or woodworking work done. I wholeheartedly endorse and recommend him.
