"I hired
& Co to represent me in my appeal of my
County property tax appraisal in May 2014. I was very disappointed in the lack" of communication. The only time I heard anything from the company was when I called them to get updates, which I did three times:
, August, and September. Each time I called they told me my hearing was scheduled for a future date. I received the official outcome of my protest October 9th. The company made no effort to keep me informed or ask for additional information throughout the process. The most disappointing aspect is the outcome! I have protested my property appraisal many times on my own with good success. This year I did not have the time to miss
and attend an appeal hearing, so I hired
& Company to do it for me. They managed to reduce the proposed appraisal by $2,000, which saved me $65, and I had to pay $32 to them. I had asked for the appraisal to be reduced by $30,000 and believed there was justification. I provided documents and pictures to
& Co to assist them in the appeal, and I do not know if they even used the information. I could have achieved better results with an e-file, but chose to use them due to the amount I was asking the appraisal to be reduced. I feel they let me down, and now I will pay higher property taxes this year due to their lack of effort. I will never use them again, nor recommend this company to anyone.

did a wonderful job with my taxes. I contacted her after getting no responses from local Florida accountants. She works from Georgia and has an easy to use" and secure system to transfer documents. Her communication was always very prompt and she guided me through everything. She worked through some usual items on my return and spoke directly with my partnership accountants. She sent me a summary copy of everything that was very clearly organized and thorough. It was a pleasure working with her and I expect to work with her from now on.

"The appointment went very well and met our expectations. Months later, my girlfriend contacted the same accountant for a tax issue, but his consultation fees went up to $150/hr. Plus," he charges $350 just for amending a tax return. She decided not to use this accountant due to excessive costs imposed.

We have used tis provider every year since we found them on Angie's List (since 2009 maybe?) for our federal, state and local taxes. Every year we are extremely pleased with the services provided.

of KAT Mgmt Svcs did an excellent job refinishing the front exterior of my house. He was punctual, polite, professional and I would undoubtedly call him again for any service. He performed the job as described promptly and did not take any shortcuts. He did an excellent job and I was impressed and I received many compliments from my neighbors on how nice the work was done.

Called yesterday twice and went straight to voice-mail. Left a message the second time with a brief description of the Tax services I'm looking for and my contact info. No acknowledgement after 24 hours. Called again today and went straight to voicemail.
I don't think I want to trust them with my finances when they can't even respond to a customer inquiry within 24 hours, in a relatively quiet period like August!!

They lure people in with a free steak dinner and a supposed tax seminar. The real story is they want to sell everyone their indexed annuities take their big commissions and run. These are unscrupulous folks trying to rope people into fixed income annuities. They are super slick and super good at getting people to turn their life savings over before they poor suckers read the fine print, penalties, conditions and

words. Very reminiscent of the mortgage default credit swap schemes of years past. Stay away you have been warned.

The initial meeting was wonderful. The office climate is attentive, polite and professional. I went over everything with the Accountant.....everything. I explained that my taxes would be late so it would require filing for an 'extension'; that the last depreciation schedule was two years old etc.. I provided a summary with all of the information so no bookkeeping services were required. I then asked very specifically what the charge for these services would be. The accountant stated that she felt confident my taxes could be done for between $450 - $600. I had already decided that the maximum I would agree to would be $700 and if she suggested it would be more than that, then I would go elsewhere.
There were several phone calls from different people as the taxes were being completed. Some of the same questions would be asked. My taxes were completed but with no bill. They insisted that I agree to sign a statement that included legalese (client pays attorney fees for any payment disputes etc.). I was not alarmed because they seemed like a credible and professional establishment, however, I regret that. After my taxes were completed, I called a couple of times inquiring about my bill but the bill did not come for approximately two months.
The bill was for $1400. I immediately called but the partner that I had done business with was out on pregnancy leave from that week forward and could not be reached. I left a message for

, also a partner in the firm. A week passed and I heard nothing. I called again and it was suggested that I speak with a woman that handles billing. She informed me that she did not know what went into handling taxes but she did say my bill was cut in half. TWENTY EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS to do an individual's personal taxes with two apartment buildings and no bookkeeping services ??!! Another message was left for

to call me.
A couple of days later Mr.
Indiantown Accountants Provider Name Locked
did call. He expressed NO regret for the miscommunication nor any apology for failing to return my initial phone call to him. He stated that the reference to the $2800. was that they had new employees but, of course, they didn't expect me to pay for their learning curve so my final bill was clearly 'just' the $1400.
I understand that working with a firm can be more costly than working with an individual accountant. I do believe that they completed my taxes adequately and throughout the initial process I was treated politely and warmly. However, something seems wrong here. It is not just the overcharge but it is the firm's overall behavior and their aloof reaction to a client being billed twice what he expected. No breakdown of the charges were provided until I insisted. No depreciation schedule was provided to me until I called in three times and even then the email said 'We only have a NBV report in the pdf file, so until FA issue is resolved, I can’t print our typical report set.' Maybe it would work better to inform the client there is an issue but as soon as it is resolved, the normal report will be sent to him.
I paid my bill and I am moving on but I would be remiss if I did not provide feedback to others in my community.

He was extremely helpful in explaining their options and how they could save money. She said he achieved the perfect balance of personable and professional. They were able to conduct all business via phone and email which was extremely convenient for them.
