"Unfortunately, I received a 2nd injury in December of 2012 while I was shopping at the Castleton mall. That day, we had a blizzard winter storm. They ridiculously" put a light weight poster sign in a small plastic holder. Later, I found out that when a customer opens the door, the sign would fall over lying flat like a camouflage piece of rug on the floor. When I went into the store, the path was clear. Twenty minutes later when I came out, the sign was lying down and I tripped over the small plastic holder. Later, I realized that I had tripped over the small plastic holder lying on the floor with the sign. When I was tripping over the small plastic holder, I landed on top of the poster and slid off like a skateboard. This made me airborne and lunged me forward like a long jumper. This caused me to hit my right knee bone at least 3 or more times on the stone floor with all of my body weight. I was injured very badly. In February, I started physical therapy. The therapist left the ice pack on for 10-15 minutes. The inflammation was so bad that when she took the ice pack off, she was in shock that my knee was still very hot. When I was injured the second time, I went to see Dr. Patal because he is a knee and ankle specialist. With this second injury, he took care of me again the same way he did the first time. He had me get 3 MRIs and was very persistent in looking after my injury. I have been under his care of 2 years for the second injury. He periodically sends me to get MRIs. Again, he found out that I had a post traumatic injury. He is very persistent and keeps an eye on my long term care. I do not have insurance, so there is a 3rd party that is liable. This meant a lot to me that my doctor is protecting my interest and also really cares about the patients. I am very fortunate to have Dr. Patal as my doctor. My mother had a full accident and the doctor only treated her for a few months, even though she is an elderly woman with severe Osteoporosis (weak bones). The doctor still did not follow up for long term care. Dr. Patal is sometimes hard to get an appointment with because he is a popular doctor. While I wait for my appointment, I can hear him greeting his other patients in a very welcoming matter. I can sense that he really gives personal care to all his patients. I am very lucky that thanks to Dr. Patal and his conservative approach, he monitors the injury for a long, long time. I admire his honesty, compassion and the fact he is trustworthy. Some people have biased about foreign doctors. Dr. Patal is born and raised in the Unites States. He completed his 14 years of medical
in the United States. He is an excellent and competent doctor. Dr. Patal is an extraordinary human being and is a beautiful person inside and out. I highly recommend this doctor to anybody who needs a knee and ankle specialists.

"I spent over $600 with her. She had me get a pair of orthotic braces that continually hurt my feet. I called the office to let them know they hurt & they said" it just took time. I also purchased a cream for $50 per the doctors recommendations. I ended up going to another doctor and he said the orthotic braces were all wrong. They would never help and were only making it worse.

Sounds like you should be pursuing a disability claim.  Also, you could speak to your previous doctor frankly about your concerns.
Have they made orthotics for your shoes that distribute your weight better?

Whoops - I just realized that you may have been looking for Angie's List information on providers outside your home market. To see information on providers that aren't in your home Angie's List chapter, you can elect to pay a small addditional fee (generally about $15 to $20) to add another city's Angie's List to your existing memember.

It looks like when you signed up online on 8/5/2014, that you accidentally joined our greater Portland chapter instead of our Salem/Corvallis chapter that your zip code falls under. I have transferred your subscription to that chapter, so you will now have access to the correct area.

I hope this information helps! Please let me know if I can assist further. You can respond to this thread or submit a new Answers post. You can also reach us at 1-866-783-2980. We're open weekdays from 8:00 am - 9:00 pm and Saturdays 8:00 am - 5:00 pm ET.

Foot Surgery reviews in Fort Myers

Three weeks on crutches and three weeks with the black boot. It has now healed well and provided some relief. Probably will have to have additional work of some sort concerning more bone spurs on both feet.
- Ann T.

I have been seeing the doctor for about 2 years. He has been true to his word when he said he could fix my foot issue with surgery. After 12 years of pain that is a huge deal. He is very compassionate. He is located in a huge practice that handles many types of services onsite as far as ex-rays, therapy and surgery. I have had no issues with scheduling. He is an amazing doctor.
- linda W.

With his and his PA's diligent care, I had a "miracle" and was able to graduate from the brace after several months. This man is not the least bit arrogant, and he does not leave you to the care of his PA, although you do see her some of the time. He trains people from all over the world. I would recommend him to anyone for any reason. I'm just pleased that I was able to have him treat me and that my income was as wonderful as it was! He's a great man!

In 2012, I was in a horse back riding accident that left me shattered- literally. I suffered from a tri-mal ankle fracture, and had fractured my tibia pretty badly. I had two doctors tell me I would never ride or run again, and that wasn't an option to me. I was referred to Dr.
Fort Myers Orthopedic Doctors Provider Name Locked
, and he was the first doctor who really believed I could- and would- be able to live my life the way I wanted to.

He was very professional, friendly, and charismatic- he's very easy to get along with. Great guy!

More importantly, he's great as his job. It has been 2 1/2 years since my accident, two surgeries, and 4 months of no weight on my injured ankle, but I have my life back. I can ride, run, wakeboard, snowboard, you name it. With his help, we were able to prove the other doctors wrong.

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr.

. He gave me my life back.

grace, dr

's PA. He explains everything and i don't feel rushed. He has given me an injection in the joint that was practically painless. Seeing dr
Fort Myers Orthopedic Doctors Provider Name Locked
is altogether different. He's like a "hit & run". Always in a rush and i always forget what i was going to ask. He is not at all unpleasant and most importantly, he is a skilled surgeon. When i need foot & ankle surgery i would not want anyone but dr
Fort Myers Orthopedic Doctors Provider Name Locked
. when i want some time to ask questins, i want to see the PA.

Best experience ever. Easy to get appointment. The clinic has a urgent care as well and if you have an urgent problem you will be seen immediately, they even try to get you in with your Dr. If it is possible. There is no over booking here either.

Have been to several doctors and Dr.
Fort Myers Orthopedic Doctors Provider Name Locked
was the first to diagnose bone spurs. He sent me to physical therapy where they worked to get the inflammation down and I've been pain free since! Super nice Doctor, explained everything completely and went over every option with me.

All staff friendly, professional, observed patience in dealing with somewhat difficult client. Dr
Fort Myers Orthopedic Doctors Provider Name Locked
does a great job of explaining what is wrong, treatment options and needed follow up care. Will definitely use again and recommend to others. Have not received bill for services yet so cannot comment on cost.
