Urgent care centers

Urgent care centers offer ambulatory services as well as emergency care on a walk-in basis. Ambulatory services refer to all types of medical care provided in a clinical care setting on an out-patient basis.

Urgent care clinics are gaining popularity as a way of treating minor injuries and illnesses. This trend relieves demands on hospitals’ emergency rooms, leaving more room for treating serious issues.

Urgent Care reviews in Cape Coral

I had received a reminder notice in the mail, as I do every year, to call them for scheduling. I spent about twenty minutes on the phone before I was finally connected with them. They wanted to know who my current doctor was. When I told them how I am currently in the process of switching doctors, they refused to see me. The woman on the phone was rude and unhelpful.

My son used them. It was easy getting in. They prescribed some antibiotics and we ordered it again and it has still not yet taken care of the prooblem. It is very difficult to get to the doctor and they still do not know what to do. I am frustrated. I did not go with him into the appointment and I cannot say too much. He wanted to go in by himself. He was not really pleased. We did not wait for more than half an hour.

All the staff were professional and friendly. The front desk staff were very understanding about the fact that I could hardly talk at all. I arrived around 2:30pm on a Sunday and was seen within about 15 minutes. The encounter nurse ran a strep test (negative), and the doctor talked through the history of my illness and concluded that a bacterial infection had developed on top of a viral infection due to the stress of travel. She prescribed a course of antibiotics, and now, about 24 hrs later, I'm already starting to recover. The doctor seemed very knowledgeable and was careful to consider my allergies and adverse reactions to certain classes of antibiotics. Although I much prefer to go to my regular physician who knows all my medical history, I felt very comfortable about the whole experience. I felt as though I received good care, and this practice would probably be my first choice if I need to be seen on the weekend in the future.

I called this office and asked what the price would be for stitches. I let them know that I didn't have insurance, would be paying cash, that my laceration was approximately an inch long, and would need to know as precisely as possible the up-front cost. I was told $99 was the cost for stitches. This seemed to be surprisingly cheap, so I asked again whether they were sure that $99 was the total cost for stitches. Yes, the receptionist was sure.
I went in and said "I'm here for stitches. I called in and was told it would only be $99 total. Is that right?" The lady at the desk affirmed.
The PA and the nurse were pleasant enough, and I feel the procedure went well. I have no complaints about the stitches.
Then, I was asked to go and check out. I was kind of surprised by this since I had already paid what they had confirmed 3 times was the total bill. When I got to the desk, I was asked to pay an additional $459 or something near that. I asked in a calm

what happened to $99 for stitches. The reply came "that's just for making the appointment." I then asked, "why didn't anyone tell me this when I asked three times what the approximate total bill would be?" They didn't have any response other than I should have known that it only covered making the appointment. I glanced at the bill and noticed they had charged me $90 for an ace wrap, adding insult to injury.
I'm a reasonable person. I have no problem with professionals making good money. What I do have a problem with, however, is being mislead about price which then induces me to give my business to an office under false pretenses. Other clinics were willing to provide the service I needed for under $300, but I went to this office because of the misrepresentation of the ladies at the front desk.
So, while the procedure was fine, I'm giving this clinic an "D" for not being up-front and honest, for employing under-trained and snarky receptionists, and for charging me, a cash

I like that is a walk in clinic so I do not need an appointment. The staff is great to work with. I do have to wait sometimes depending on the season to get seen by a doctor once I arrive.

It is like a fast food of the medical industry. They have a number of doctors, and any one of those doctors can help you. They have many locations, and I have been to probably 3 or 4. The primary reason I go to them is for convenience. You don't have to set an appointment, and you can be helped within an hour or two of going. It is very convenient.
