We were novices in remodeling when we entered the Store/shop.
took his time to explain how the process worked and then took us to see what marble he had available It was a pleasant experience. I called when I was ready for his guys to come and take measurement. They came the next business day. Originally it was to take a week to cut it but it only took one day. The guys came back the next day and installed it and did a great job. I am very happy and will use them when I remodel my kitchen.

To make a long story short, i wound up not going with this company for the following reasons. I originally called the number on the website and got in touch with
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
the owner. I was immediately put in contact with
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
the "salesman". I then made an appointment for an estimate for 1800 square feet of versailles pattern travertine, Kitchen cabinet refacing, new granite countertops, a redo of the entire guest bathroom and all new base molding around the house. As you could imagine i was having ALOT of work done. The FIRST missed appointment by
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
the salesman came a week after the original phone call. Three days later he called me back and said he was having trouble with his laptop and had to buy a new one. This made me scratch my head because i didn't see why he HAD to have his laptop to give an estimate but i went with it anyways. So the SECOND appointment was scheduled and he came over, took measurements, gave me ideas and seemed generally nice. Another week goes by (three weeks after initial contact) and no word from
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
. I decided to call because at this point i had several estimate rolling in for several jobs including outside work as well.
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
finally comes back to the house another week later (four weeks now). What came next i never could have imagined. He sits at my kitchen table and has a spiral notebook with a full page of scribble and notes. He then tells me the job should come in somewhere around 28,000$. I then replied with well are you going to give me and estimate. And
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
says to me, well let me know if you are going to do the job as i don't want to type up all this work if you are not going to!!! i couldn't believe it… every single other contractor i got quotes from has every detail of their jobs spelt out down to every penny. I honestly didn't even know what to say. I asked him if he could please make a professional quote and i will be able to analyze it and and compare to the other quotes and will get back to him… That was three weeks ago… Still No REAL quote. This was a major disappointment because angies list has seemed to work out very well for me. I cannot tell you wether they do good work or not, but this was the most botched up unprofessional estimate i have ever been involved in.
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
did tell me that
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
the owner is expanding and that they are growing to a major company, my advice is to beware!! This company is apparently slowly becoming a major company and not the hands on, one on one company that
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
advertises.

The process was a smooth and effortless as can be. it onlytook one visit to the showroom to review and pick out the slab - everything else including measurments and final measurments were done at our convenience - even on the weekend. The job was done with very little disruprtion on us and the job was completed on time with NO problems. From the salesman to the installer everyone was what we would expect from a quality company. We would definately use them again if the need arises.

the sales manager was very nice. He explained that his boss (the owner) didn't want to do the work requested eventhough the scope of work was laid out before them, and if it couldn't be done, just say we don't do that kind of work. Instead they made another appointment to talk prices (had to adjust my work schedule) 2 days out to give me a quote. I waited the 2 days and they didn't give me any quote on what I asked, but instead they recommended a more expensive soluton. It was a real waste of time for them just not to say (when they were at my home) that we can't do this work.
I feel like that what I requested was maybe "below" them and the old "oh we don't do this" but we can upgrade you sales tactic was attempted. I would of paid for the services of having them install 2 shower liners, replace 2 vanity cabinets, and do some other repair/patch work. It wasn't a complete remodel, but it definetly would of been profitable for them. Oh well, since moving to SWFL from the Northeast its been hard to find a good vendor for any service, and this was my first time using Angie's list. Sometimes you can't even give your money away to have a service done.

We visited Affordable Granite on
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
4th and talked to
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
the owner about buying a piece of granite as we already had a fabricator to fabricate and remove and install our new granite.
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
asked us if he was able to do the job for the same money, could he come out and give us an estimate. We talked about keeping the money in the Cape and we agreed to let him come out and give us a quote. We set up an appointment the next day and when
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
arrived, we talked in detail about everything we wanted done which consisted of cutting our existing bar top down so we could expand the counter. We talked about removing our existing granite and finally talked about adding 2 shelves into our shower. He also said he would seal the granite and also seal our new dining and bar tops that we just recently had installed. His estimate was higher than we talked about so we decided to go back to our fabricator and during the next two weeks we finally chose a piece of granite. We then found out that one sheet would not do the job and we would have to buy 2 sheets which was more than we wanted to spend. We remembered that
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
had a small remnent piece of the granite in the same pattern we chose so I put a call into him to discuss having him get started which he never returned my call.I finally stopped in and talked to him about doing the job and he was thrilled. He came by the house the next morning and said he could not cut down the bar top as his cabinet guy was too busy. We reminded him that his quote included cutting down the top and he said we would have to find someone to do it and it would be our expense, not his. We agreed that we would find someone to cut it down. His employee did a template and said once we cut it down to call him and he would finish the end of the template. I called my friend and he said he would do it this weekend so I called the office and set up an appointment for next Monday to finish the template.Well this morning
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
called my wife and said he did not want to do the job anymore. My wife asked why and he said he was not prepared to remove the exisiting countertops because he might damage them and he also felt he wasn't making enough profit on this job. My wife called him out about his quote and he rushed to get off the phone and was very cold to her.I called
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
from my office and he said the same thing to me. I asked him if he would sell the small piece of granite to me and he refused saying he might need it for another job possibly 2-3 months from now. I asked him what price would he sell it for and he said there was no price. If any of you are thinking about hiring Affordable Granite for cabinetry or countetops, beware as he obviously is not an expert on removing countertops and he is wishy washy on his quotes. Do not give any money until you get a contract signed from him and be sure to write everything down that you want because he is the type that will not do what he says he will do.

When
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
came for the 1st time, we told him what we wanted (dove tailed joints on the draws ect.) as we were telling him he was making notes. I didnt look over his shoulder to see what he was writting or what he wasnt! he gave us a price and we said ok. When the custom made cabinets came, they were not square and all the sides had a huge bow on all sides. The stain job was a big mess also so he took them back and "SO CALLED FIX THEM" oH ALSO THE 1ST set OFF CABINETS, 1IN was TOO SHORT THAN IT WAS TO BE.
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
KEPT trying me to accept the wrong size cabinet but I told him no!He decided to take back all of them and they came back 2 weeks later, looking at them I could still see they were bowed. After talking to one of his men he said that when they would be screwed in, the screws would pull the bow out and make them perfect! When I looked at the draws, none were dove tailed so I asked him why, he repleyed that it was not in the contract and they don't do them! Now that they are installed I noticed that under the sink the cut out for the outlet was 1in to the right and 1/2 on both the bottom and top were cut too short! I sent him and an email but he didnt respond. Also the top crown molding is on the ceiling on one end and there is a 1in gape to the ceiling over the island on the other end, the other side there is another 1in gape all over the other side where the frig and
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
is. He told me it would be all the was up to the ceiling!! I also had him install new tiles from the kitchen to the living room and
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
and hall way to the front door. I told him to also replace the base board, I asked him how much it would cost to replace the base board, he replyed he wouldnt know till he contacted the man who does it. So now the man comes to do the replacement and tells me it will cost $150.00 , I said ok! Now I get a bill from
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
for $270.00 I told he his guy told me $150.00 he replyes "the installer miss quoted the price!! Now for the back splash... I asked how much, he says the guy who does it charges 500. but he can have him do it for 300. I GET A BILL NOW FOR 350!!!! when I was talking to him I told him my wife wanted big tiled behind the frig and
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
so it would be easier for her too clean, he charged me another $180 just for that but in the begining we told him everything what we wanted!!!!! Me and my wife went and bought all the tiles ,thin set and grout, buying them myself I knew I would have to, no problem there. I now asked what it would cost to install my new
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
and my new frig and microwave, "WE don't INSTALL APPLIANCES" I TOLD HIM HE INSTALLEDED THE DISHWASHER!! AND SAID TO HIM IS A DISHWASHER AN APPLINCE?? HE DIDNT SAY MUCH EXCEPT, IT WAS IN THE CONTRACT~ IHAVE PAID HIM A TOTAL $26,620.00 FOR THE JOB!! UPDATE 5/14/2012 ON THIS DAY I SENT AN EMAIL AGAIN TO COME FIX THE PROBLEMS.....HE RESPONDED > Before fixing all the small problems. We need to come to an agreement. I have been an business owner for 26 years and an author for 5 years. I understand great customer service when I see it. This company did a fantastic job on our flooring for the entire home, bathroom walls, and installation of a 6 jet shower system. After the work was completed to our complete satisfaction, they also followed up with us a second time to confirm our satisfaction. The little things this company does will simply amaze you. I used Angie's List because I am a Canadian who purchased a home in Florida that needed a lot of work. I did not know a single contractor in the area when we started our massive renovation project. I am grateful to Angie's List for not only providing the resources to find good companies but
Cape Coral Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
is excellent. My wife and I are so happy we chose them. We have had a few guests visit our home and everyone comments on the amazing Tile work. If you are looking for a company that does amazing tile work look no further. This is my second review because of the follow up on the work completed. I felt a responsibility to write another review. I had never met this company prior to using Angie's List.

This company was very responsive to our needs and kept us informed as to what was going on. If something came up they lets us know ASAP. They were first rate and completed our job a day early. They put our counter tops in first and we were very happy. The tile we choose was a special order and we had to wait for delivery, but they told us upfront so we knew. They scheduled the tile install and started the day that was scheduled. We had a 20 inch tile installed on a diaginal and it looks great. I was very pleased with the cuts that they had to make. The only thing that I was no real pleased with was a the end of the day things could have been a little cleaner, but we are sort of clean freaks. I would tell anyone to give them a call.
