Messaged them on Sunday evening, received a call within an hour scheduled for Monday morning.
, my tech arrived right on time and I received a call prior to his arrival. The issue was assessed and then parts were purchased and installed. Very professional, prompt, courteous, overall a great experience. I can't say they are the cheapest folks in town as they did seem a bit steep on the pricing. I expect you get what you pay for and I got a job done right!

From initial contact,
was very responsive and punctual. His quote came in FAR below the other contractors we had bid the job. Once all items were ordered,
established a start date and projected completion date.

Both
and
arrived early the on the day we began construction, walked through the particulars of the job and explained to us how we would proceed. As construction commenced,
worked with a helper. Both showed up everyday on time and worked ALL day. The project hit a few snags... of course. There was an unexpected rotten floor joist, rotten floorboards which had to be replaced and copious amounts of rain. On day one, demolition, The fireplace was removed before the rains hit.
worked in the rain to ensure the integrity of the rest of the room by waterproofing the opening before calling it quits for the day. Each day, the same care was taken. The project took 3X longer than expected due to the extra work on the floor and the rain delay but everyday, they showed up and worked until the rain was too heavy to operate electric tools. At the end of it all, the cost above the original quote was simply the cost of the joist itself. Everything else was considered part of the job.

As for the quality of work,
was excellent!! His framing of the doors and carpentry work were perfect. In fact, the installers of the 20' door commented that they had never had a job where the frame was so perfect. They performed their installation and were out is less than an hour.

The roof had a gable where the fireplace was and
removed and replaced the roofing so that there is no sign that work was even done.

The subcontractors that replace the carpet and painted the outside of the house were equally exemplary.

Actually, we don't have a single negative comment about the company or crew. I would absolutely recommend their services.

This is our first experience with construction on our house and with
and
Ent, all the fears I had from others experiences were for naught.

We purchased a Big Deal for $700 worth of work at the price of $250 through
Altamonte Springs Carpenters Provider Name Locked
. L&D immediately contacted me to schedule the work and sent me their open schedule. We scheduled a date but when they arrived to perform the work we realized the entire door was rotten not just the frame. They told us what they could do and suggested we replace the entire door and call them when we did and they would come back. We did and they responded right a way when we had the door in. The family showed up on time and did a great job. The old frame and door was removed and replaced. A pile of old lumber was cut up and piled for removal. In addition Donaugh measured, cut and installed almost 100 ft. of quarter round along our tile floors throughout the house. The crew was here for 3-4 hours and did a tremendous job. Donaugh also noticed our kitchen cabinet doors needed adjusting and adjusted them before they left. We discussed a few other jobs that we were contemplating and we will ask them to return when we have the time to tackle them also.
L&D ... responsive, personable, hard working and fast team work. I will use them again.

The whole job went very well. These people took pains to do the job properly. They took their time, explained options to us when they came up and made sure things were done well and properly. From initial demolition to finished work, we were very pleased.

We called them to come for the walk-through. They took the information for what designs we wanted for our home. It took FOREVER to get the plan back. I called after several weeks and they said they had been sick. That is certainly acceptable, but let the customer know you'll be delayed in responding. We should not have had to call. The plan they gave us was poor and didn't even address the needs we had articulated. We never called them back, nor did they check back with us as to whether we wanted them to do the work.

I've used "Big Deals" before and I've generally been pleased. I had been planning to gut and rebuild our 1970-ish kitchen for several months, so I decided this was worth the risk.
I did the layout myself and knew exactly what I wanted... in addition to the new cabinets and counters included in the deal, I wanted to have a window eliminated, a corner closet built, and two custom shelves installed. I was relieved that the job was acceptable and we agreed on a fair price. Originally I wasn't too enthusiastic about granite, but he had a sample that wasn't much more expensive than other countertops. I'm glad I decided on the granite, it looks great.

In most respects I got exactly what I wanted. The cabinets in particular are incredible: thick wood box drawers, nice finish on the doors. The installation was top-notch. I've built kitchens before and sometimes they seem to drag out for months. This was done start-to-finish in two weeks, achieved mostly through really careful scheduling so the plumbing, electric, cabinets and counters were all done right on the schedule.
I'm a stickler for details. I appreciate the fact that everything came out plumb and level in a home that has no absolutely square corners or completely parallel walls. They compensated for the flaws extremely well, so it looks great.
I was and am a bit concerned about the quality of the granite. It absorbed water very quickly so I sealed it myself with a good-quality commercial product. That made the absorption less obvious, but it's still not as liquid resistant as it should be.
My biggest complaint about the job was the final price. After the work began he called me at my work and said it would be another $120 to move a water run to the interior space in the wall to prevent the need to cut the run into the cabinets. That was fine, as was the issue with a higher price for the shelves than anticipated.
But the final bill was sticker-shock -- it was about $900 more than the agreed price. A lot of things on his final invoice should have been part of the agreement, and some I wasn't prepared for until I saw the final bill. Some extra charges were, frankly, stupid.... I had to pay extra to have holes drilled for the cabinets (a

job with their equipment but would have been a real pain in the you-know-what for me and my little drill. And it would have cost even more if they had actually installed the hardware -- I did that part myself rather than go more over budget.
There were a few odd jobs unfinished, like replacing the quarterround, and a few things that should have been done better (the sink is not set correctly, so there's a significant gap along one

that I will fill with silicone myself when I get around to it.)
Still, overall I'm happy, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to someone else.

We had a devastating event occur on Thanksgiving 2012… came home to find out the condo above us had a water leak and the water was pouring into our kitchen, dining room and living room, through soffits, light fixtures and air vents. In some areas the water was so heavy the ceiling began to cave in. Our laminate floor buckled and our kitchen cabinets and counter tops were ruined. We had to replace the flooring throughout the whole condo (bedrooms included), all the kitchen cabinets and counter tops, repair and drywall damaged ceiling and walls, and replace all baseboards and paint. We called several contractors thinking it would be best to get the work completed all at one time by one controlling company. Several estimates later, the needed work in our condo was pushing $20,000 and the insurance monies were not adding up. We then decided we would be our own contractor and get separate bids for flooring, kitchen cabinets and counter tops, painters, etc., and

responded to our flooring quote request. Once we met

, his Job Forman, and spoke with them in great detail on several occasions, their sincere desire to help us was so apparent and honest; we trusted them with all work that needed to be done in our home. YIKES!!! Well, that was the best decision we ever made. We are posting pictures because no amount of word praise could describe how beautiful our home looks and at a fraction of the cost. They went beyond the call of duty (I had to rent a pod and basically move completely out and they did all the moving into the pod and out) and every person who worked on our job was friendly, knowledgeable and considerate. Also, because we were living in a hotel during all this work, they worked long and tireless days to complete this work in just a little over a week. This unfortunate event ended up being a blessing because aside from our absolutely amazing condo, we now have two wonderful new friends in

and bottom of the back door. He did a very reasonable and estimate and only included what was necessary to fix the problems. He e-mailed the estimate a few days after visiting the house. Once I accepted the estimate he put me on his schedule, about 2 weeks later. He came the day he scheduled, right on time. He finished all the projects in one day, working from 9am until 4pm. He was very friendly and gave me advice on other issues around the house. I would highly recommedn
