We couldn't have been more pleased.
came to our house within a day after we called him, based on the recommendations on Angie's list, and after our intitial call, he promptly emailed us a color brochure with the various levels of gates he had available and their options so we weren't flying blind. When he came to the house, he was very personable and forthright. We showed him the gate to be replaced and what we wanted in a new gate after he carefully explained the options, with samples, of type of slats, color of metal trim, types of closures and locks, and the prices of all of them. We picked what we wanted and he wrote it up for us to look at. The entry level gate would have been just fine, but we opted for an upgraded gate and the prices were reasonable, nothing
. He made the appropriate measurements, which included compensating for a wall that had gone out of plumb. They manufacture the gate to fit, and within two weeks the gate was installed, exactly as ordered. The stud spacing on the garage side of the gate was peculiar to accommodate some of the features inside the garage, and the installers worked very hard at finding the right stud to anchor that part of the gate frame to. They were very interested in doing the job right and were proud of their work.
came to inspect it before they left, and we are happy customers.
gets a very high recommendation from us.

I used
with
on a previous occasion. I have electric gates on the front and rear of my property and the rear gate flooded (he did not do the original installation) and I contacted
to repair the or replace the gate opener.
made many time line promises and missed them all by a mile. It took over a month to repair our gate. I like the opener brand and wanted to change my front gate from a slider to a swing gate. I asked
for an estimate. He quoted me $3796 and he'd have the work done in about 10 days to 2 weeks. I asked how sure are of that date having experience with
's promises on our last job with him. I asked him if he would be willing to give me a 10% discount if the job wasn't completed within 21 days. He agreed and we gave him a deposit and signed the contract.

The first time
showed up on the job was the day before his 21 day deadline. Then again the following day. When I looked at the job on day 21 it was far from complete. The gate I assumed would go parallel to the existing fence just like it was as a sliding gate. He had it going at an angle of sorts. The gate was also not level heading down hill. When I pointed out the problem he said he could fix both problems but he'd have to order a new post to close the gate to and that would take a few days. Then he should up to set the post and correct the leveling of the gate. Out of time for the third trip out the gate was operational but still incomplete. Everything needed painting and the gate opening button needed to be installed and wired and some filler needed to be added between the old gate post and the new location of the post. 2 months went by and
never even called once to let me know when he's going to finish the job. I finally sent him a check shorting it by the agreed on 10% plus a little for the work that was left incomplete.

I still never heard from
. I thought I'd get a call from him apologizing for not showing up to finish the job at least. No calls though. Fast forward a few months and the rear gate that
fixed for me stopped working. This is only about a year or less since the initial repair. I left him several messages and quickly realized he's not going to call me back. I wasn't blaming hi or anything for the rear gate failure.. I just thought he'd be the best person to fix it again since he fixed it once before. But
never returned my phone calls.

I find this very unprofessional of him. What should I have done. Let him have one or two more months to finish. Shame on me for expecting the job to be completed as agreed in our contract.

We had been having trouble for months with our gate and had another person who came out 4 times only to charge us over $200 and continually tell us that the gate simply would not work in the rain. We're in Miami. It is summer. It rains every day. There is no way that answer was going to be suitable for us so I called
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
Metals this morning and spoke with Ozzie, who said he would call me back with a time when someone could come. He called at 11:30 and said
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
would be at our place between 12 and 12:15 and he pulled up at 12:10.
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
was able to find the problems and he fixed a visibly broken piece on the inside, plus there was a metal thing that was bent out of shape that was triggering something incorrectly so he fixed that, too. He even touched up some chipped paint on our gate so it looks really nice now. Also he was finished in under an hour. We were very happy with their service.

Everything went very smoothly. They showed up on time to provide an estimate. Even though it was a small job, he didn't give us a hard time when we gave him a coupon to save a few extra bucks. We wanted to compare pricing so we called in 3 other contractors but
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
had the best price. When I called to book the job I gave them a credit card for the deposit and they said it would be about 2 - 2.5 weeks. The guys actually showed up about 10 days later. Only "problem" was that I wasn't expecting them because no one called to say they were coming to do the install. I just happened to be home from work on the day they showed up at the door so that was lucky. They had the job completed in about 3-3.5 hours and it looks great. Again, it was a small job but the guys didn't complain about anything. I called the office the day of the install and paid the balance by credit card. Now we can go outside with our toddler without worrying that he will run into the street.

I chose not to use
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
, which built the fence for my home's previous owner in 2005. The primary reason was that the price seemed far too high.
The company did not give me a "time and materials" bid but simply an all-in number to do the job, which the bid described as "cut[
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
] off 4-hinges and reweld[
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
] new ball bearing [hinges], install 3-ind cane bolt, install 1-post cap, grease up all hinges on both gates, and adjust as necessary." The price? $1520 plus tax.
When I told them the price was too high and that I had expected detail, I was told that the
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
cane bolts were $122 each, so the hinges and the cap would be $1,153 plus tax.
Heavy-duty hinges of the type they proposed can be found on-line for less than $5 each, but let's give them the benefit of the doubt and say they charge $10 each. That's $40 for the hinges. Add another $10 for the post cap, and we're at $50. That leaves $1,103 for labor. Even if it took an hour per hinge to cut off each hinge with a grinder, then weld a new one in place, that would be four hours, which would mean an hourly labor rate of $275. I could not accept that bid as reasonable for the work involved, so didn't have them do the work.

It went excellently; I'm quite pleased.
Overall, between November and the end of March,
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
installed about 300 linear feet of very nice 6-foot tall iron fence, along with 5 single-gates and a double-gate. It does a very nice job of keeping out the deer (and bears).

We had contacted
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
Gate due to Angie's List recommendation. In the initial contact, we had expressed that the outside wires had been cut from gardening in the yard and needed a new line.
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
came out and gave an estimate of $200. He didn't have the proper supplies to complete job and came back the next day. After the job was completed, he charges us $275. I didn't dispute the charge, even though he left his trash and cigarette butts throughout my yard.
The next day, my remote in my car was not functioning properly. I had to get up really close to the gate, whereas before
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
fixed it, my remote was working great. Our gate would work sometimes through the connection from the house. After a couple of weeks, I called to get
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
back out thinking that this was at least a 30 day warranty. I immediately got push back and was told that I had an old unit and that I needed to get a new unit. I explained that our remotes from cars and handheld were working great until
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
repaired it. Again, I was surprised at the resistant.
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
came back out, did a few adjustments and said if this doesn't work, then we really needed a new unit. Again, the gate was not working properly.
So we took it upon ourselves to fix it. We sealed the wire where
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
had connected outside since he had left it exposed and also found that the antenna on the gate had been bent (that is why the remotes weren't working right). The gate is working fine now.
Needless to say, I will NEVER use
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
and will tell everybody I know what had happened.

When we started the process they estimated a 2 to 3 week wait for the work to be done, three days later they were setting posts and the next day the fence was up and done. Excellent work.

Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
was reccomended by a lady that works for my insurance agent and it turns out we were lucky to find him. We had three different high wind storms which snapped 4x4 fence posts on our backyard privacy fence. Not good with dogs and little ones in an area where bears and cats are regular cruisers in the neighborhood. Upon calling
Wilmington Driveway Gate Installers Provider Name Locked
he had me send digital pics of the damage and he gave me a qoute within an hour. His response time was literally as soon as the weather permitted him to work in each case. He replaced what had been sub-standard strength cedar post with

The company was great to deal with. We used their fence parts to construct an out door shower. As the contractor realized the different parts required as the job progressed we keep adding accessory orders. The staff was a pleasure and very accommodating. The product is fairly priced, quality vinyl, well constructed and easy to work with. I highly recommend the company and the product
