The entire process went extremely well. Both Rich and his assistant
were highly professional, very easy to work with, friendly and polite. They both had very high standards of workmanship; everything must be done well or they were not satisfied with it, though I might have been. They showed real pride in their work. Not surprisingly, therefore, I am thrilled at how the job turned out. Not only am I very pleased, but everyone who has seen it thinks it's beautiful.

Rich and assistant
were enormously helpful not only in helping to design, especially the kitchen, but in helping me to choose cabinets, countertops, tile flooring and in general, making sure that everything worked well together. Rich was also very good at picking out sinks, faucets, etc., that would work with the overall design.

Rich is also really creative at solving problems while staying within budget. When we discovered concrete all around the fireplace, complicating the installation of a hardwood floor, he suggested covering it with marble; this marble around the fireplace looks wonderful. He also created a mantle around the fireplace, so we could get rid of the ugliest accessories in the world.

Rich is very willing to return to fix or adjust anything that still needs a bit of work. Most important, he really listens.

I certainly use
again and would recommend them without hesitation.

This project took place very quickly. We asked
to help us out and within a week he was here and working at full-steam ahead!

I love working with
- he's been able to take any idea we present and just make it happen, Period!

Excellent job on all fronts. When there were problems with the bathroom, they would work at it to resolve immediately. We have a very old

home that offered more challenges than the

person could imagine, slanted floors and walls, house off-kilter, odd size windows and doors, etc. Where needed they created and crafted custom woodwork (corbel to my picture of some I liked, matched the door frame on front door to match the wood trim in the rest of the house (original trim). Nothing was too difficult for them to tackle. -What also stands out in my mind is how they made sure each evening we had a toilet to use. It was the only toilet in the house. That involved extra work and care for them, but there was no extra charge for us. They came when they said they would, called with any changes in times, etc - when they start a job - they stay with that job until it is finished - you don't have to while they work on other jobs during yours. And the clean-up each night was spectacular! Very courteous. Very reliable and responsible. We used them later to replace our roof.

Overall price and workmanship were pretty good. Punctuality in general was ok, but there were significant time lags between different legs of the remodeling effort to the extent that the job took ~6 weeks to complete. There were a no. of teething problems (ceiling stains from leakage during bathroom demoing and shower handle leak on first use). All of these were dealt with though it did take a nearly two weeks to complete repairs. As a consequence all in all we were without out en suite shower for 8 weeks during construction.

They only took a week to complete the job of remodeling the kitchen. I am happy with the way it looks. This company did a wonderful job. I will use them again if I need them.

did an excellent job on the windows. I had three other contractors quote the work.
Wallingford Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
were my first choice in terms of professionalism (shown at time of quoting process), product and pricing.

The installer was a professional, conscientious individual. He did a wonderful job enlarging the windows and working with the aluminum siding. He left everything clean and tidy at the end of the day, so there was minimal interuption to daily live. There were some misscommunications and hickups along the way, but these were resolved promptly and to my satisfaction. Overall, I was very happy with the whole experience.
Sadly, the bathroom work did not go quite as smoothly. Again, the quoting process and planning of the work went very well. The sales staff were professional, and the product and pricing fitted our budget.
There were two main problems. The first and biggest problelm was with the tiling. This work was sub-contracted to a tiling company who did a rushed, less than professional job. I stopped the work when it was about 60% complete. Wall tiles were uneven and the corner grout line ranged from a 1/8 inch at the tub line to 1/4 inch at the ceiling. Two floor tiles were cocked at a very noticable angle. At my request, the owner of the sub-contracting company came to inspect the work. His first response was, "You will never notice that when the tub and shower curtain is installed and when the toilet is installed." I took a couple of deep breaths to compose myself, and expliained that I was paying several thousand to have the work done professionally." He sent me two new installers who re-did some of the previous work and finished the tiling job. I took time off work to oversee the rest of the tiling. At the end of the day, I ended up with a tiling job that could be described at best as "not a bad tiling job" but it fell way short of a home run.
The second problem was with the tub installaion. My wife came home from work and discovered the side pannel was not the one we ordered. I brought it up with

and was informed that the one we ordered was not available for the length of tub we had installed. It would have been nice to have been advised of this earlier, and not discover it after the installaion. The side panal also remained loose.

made several attempts to improve on the installation, finaly gluing it with liquid nails. It has remained tight but is not astetically very pleasing. Ultimately the design of the panel is flawed which is a non-issue if you don't mind it falling in every time your knee hits it or you kneel at the tub to wash kids.
Some other small issues came up as is typical with any remodel. These issues were dealt with promply and to my satisfaction.
I still think
Wallingford Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
is a professional organization. They do try to resolve issues in a prompt and fair manner. I would hire them again and would not discourage others from hiring them. As wiith all larger construction companies they hire a lot of different people with various skill levels. You need to be a proactive homeowner.

was very helpful in guiding us to suppliers for our materials, and extended his contractor discount to us. He gave us a good supply list so that we had everything we needed, and his team provided the raw materials such as sheetrock. I liked this aspect, in that we were able to pick out whatever materials we wanted, and determine our own materials budget.
The team was punctual, fairly clean, and worked efficiently. There were a few snags in the project which I think they handled well, though they did seem to be under the gun as far as their schedule. I was fairly happy with the quality of the finished job, and they worked professionally.
