"What a deplorable excuse for a "medical" practice. I saw them for knee osteoarthritis and did their full "knee program." During this whole" time, I never, NOT ONCE, saw a physician. They have this down to a science - a science of making money. I understand that the shots don't work for everyone and I was one of those people. But I did everything I was supposed to do, came for therapy three times a week (paying a substantial co-pay each time, even when it involved doing nothing more than doing exercises on my own), paid a fortune for braces that subsequent physicians said were useless because they off-loaded to a part of my knee that was gone anyway, and the bottom line is, the program was useless. Okay...that happens, but then they kept sending new bills, each time with stuff that hadn't been covered by insurance. When I balked, I was never allowed to talk to a billing supervisor and my repeated requests were denied. I will say that the therapists who work here were very kind and pleasant. Perhaps their treatments work for some people. If you consider going here, just know that you are being shoved into a cookie cutter treatment plan and will never see a physician. And it's going to cost you a LOT of money, regardless of what your insurance may be.

"She is great. I recommend her for everybody. She is excellent. She is very kind and nice. She talks to you. It's a real great experience. I was just flabbergasted." They're promoting a 3D mammogram. I'm a senior, so I have Medicare and Medicare doesn't pay for that. But they do pay for other mammograms. But, I had to pay for that one mammogram. She shows it to you when she goes over everything. She explains the pictures that you see. It's just really cool. She is really cool.

When I arrived, the check-in procedure went quickly. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and helpful. I did not wait very long for my appointment before the technician came out to get me. The examination room was dark and relaxing. I laid down on an examination table and was able to keep most of my clothing on. The technician puts this gel on my skin where the ultrasound probe rubs over my abdomen. The test doesn't take very long. The ultrasound technician does not tell me the results of the test. The test results need to be seen by a radiologist and the radiologist sends a report to my primary care doctor pretty quickly. I get the results from my doctor in one or two days. This is a non-invasive test and it doesn't take much time out of my day. Because of the required 8-hour fast, I highly recommend you ask for an early morning appointment. If you get an appointment in the afternoon, you will be too hungry.

I was referred to
Stamford Ultrasound Technicians Provider Name Locked
for a nuchal translucency ultrasound which is a specialized ultrasound for high risk pregnancies. I made my appointment a month before and it was quite easy. The staff was courteous and the wait was reasonable. The doctor who did my ultrasound was very professional. Being a first time mom, and a high risk pregnancy at that, i was very anxious. The doctor explained what he was seeing and told us after the ultrasound that it looks ok. This really helped ease my anxiety. Imagine waiting for a few days for the result.

The facility called me in advance to make sure I knew how much the procedure cost. (Most facilities with whom I've dealt have NO IDEA how much I will be charged for a procedure, so this was VERY refreshing!) They did ask for partial payment, which was a good idea since it gave me a good idea of what was expected of me. I arrived at the appointment early and they took me RIGHT AWAY. The person who did the ultrasound was so gentle and kind. Her bedside manner was warm and comforted me greatly. It was both an internal and external ultrasound which could be uncomfortable, but this tech made it very tolerable for me and asked me every so often how I was doing. She was just outstanding and I was most at ease. I recieved the bill in a reasonable amount of time afterwards and it was exactly the amount specified. I have nothing but praise for this tech and this facility! Thank you!

I always take first available morning appointments, especially for ultrasounds since you are not suppose to eat for at least 6 hours prior to the appointment. After checking-in at the counter, you have to do the usual paperwork which takes about 15-20 minutes. I find the staff at the counter are mediocre. Then you have to wait another 20-30 minutes before your buzzer goes off to be taken into the back for your actual appointment. In all of my 4 experiences, the ultrasound technicians have all been very friendly and professional. They have me change into the gown and warm up the gel. I don't believe it's customary for them to talk about your ultrasound, as I haven't done much chit chatting with the technician while my ultrasound was being done. After all is done, the last 3 times the technician was good about helping wipe up the gel spread everywhere but this last time in March I was left with the mess.
This last ultrasound appointment, I also needed to have blood work done, and this diagnostic center does have a small room for this service. I have small veins, and I roll my eyes every time I need blood work done. However, the two times I have been there, the lab technician was able to get it in one go without any suffering on my end. Absolutely adore them for that. Oddly enough, when I had a biopsy done in the same center, the nurses in the prep room were absolutely terrible. I was poked and prodded about 6 times in both arms in a rough way which almost brought me to tears. My two cents on the matter.
