"I have been seeing the doctor for about 6-7 years. He is thorough and efficient. He is very advanced in new medical practices and knowledgeable in his field. The staff is very good" and scheduling is not an issue. They run the office efficiently and I do not have to wait in the waiting room long when I visit.

"The medicine Dr.
gave was dangerous and was not supposed to be given outside a hospital environment. It slowed down my heart to the point I was too weak to function." I stopped it after 3 days and went back to him. He said "OK your heart is in rhythm. Come back in a year." and then he walked out. I went to a different cardiologist who was horrified that he gave me that medicine and never gave me a stress test. By then my heart was fluttering again. The new doctor gave me all the tests to find out what was wrong and put me on a blood thinner. I am now scheduled for a heart oblation which should take care of my problem. I believe if I had stayed with Dr.
, I would have ended up with heart damage or failure.

They do not have a system of taking patients back. My first appointment was at 10:30 and they didn't take me back until 11:45, they took a walk-in back before me! The technician said that she works contract there and they do that all the time. The doctor leaves on and off throughout the day to do heart caths.

I understand emergencies, but he seems to schedule his intermittently during the day. For my follow up appointment, they scheduled it for 9:45, but when they called to confirm it they said 10:30. When I asked about the different time she said "oh that's fine just come at 9:45, but the doctor usually doesn't come in till 10:00 or 10:15".

The office staff is very unprofessional, when they started a IV, I was left with a bruised knot the size of a silver dollar and during my follow up when the tech taking my blood pressure saw it she asked what happened and I told her and then she showed me she had a bruise on her arm that her boyfriend made. She told me that he couldn't help himself, because he's a grabber when they have s**. |

I had to ask them to do the labwork that discovered the problem. Had they done this first it would have saved time and money. They let me take off work and come in to office for stress test just to tell me the md couldnt do it, he was in office but on call. They knew this beforehand but didnt bother to call to reschedule. Missed whole day of work. I was having acute issues but had to wait weeks to get, weeks for testing. Didnt seem to care if anything dire happened, just working me through their system.

I started seeing Dr.
Somers Cardiologists Provider Name Locked
at the recommendation of my primary care physician, and I'm very happy with her. She has a friendly personality, her office keeps wait times to about ten or fifteen minutes, and she's very thorough when answering questions as well as explaining test results.

I pretty much just talk to him and he looks at my history. I had to take a lot of extra drugs such as vitamins, fish oil, B12 and prostate pills. He tells me the dosage that I must take so he is precise. I really like him and my daughter spend 10 years at the heart center and she knows a lot of people in the cardiovascular area and she ask a couple of guys who they would send their dad to and they all said Dr.
Somers Cardiologists Provider Name Locked
. I also did a stress test.

Scheduling was pretty easy. You can schedule via online and this is wonderful. This online system has saved me several trips to the doctor. They have very good patient care and it's a good idea to be prepared with the specifics of what you're there for. They act as a team there and I've been happy with the service.

It didn't go so well.
As a SHORT time AFIB patient, i wasn't sure what was happening with all the lightheartedness and was unsure if i should take the meds I carry around for this.
I called for advice and help.
The young lady took my information and told me she would call back.
Three hours later, nothing from her....More /> I took my emergency meds which seemed to help.
Thinking they may have had an emergency in the office that afternoon, I called the next day. Same deal, hey took the info and NEVER called back.
,
Somers Cardiologists Provider Name Locked
is a nice guy and I believe he's a pretty fair cardiologist.
His office STINKS to high heaven though.
No calls back when someone is asking for help?
No "I;m sorry but we were busy"?
Nothng...
Clearly one should never trust this bunch of unfeeling uncaring people.
