Business Description: Who we are: At Connecticut Chimney and Vent, LLC, we strive to provide honest, knowledgeable, quality service. We firmly believe in building a relationship with our customers and therefore, we never subcontract any work that we are hired for. From inspections to full historic restorations, when a customer hires us, they get US! Each of our technicians goes through a thorough background check before hiring and hands on apprenticeship before handling service calls independently. Licensing: Currently in the State of Connecticut, there is no licensing for chimney contractor/technicians. However, all chimney contractors are required by the State of Connecticut to be registered as Home Improvement Contractors (HIC). In addition to fulfilling our HIC requirement, we hold an S1 Heating and Cooling License. While we do not provide heating or cooling services, this license permits us to make heating equipment connections, allowing us to handle repairs from start to finish. Education & Community Awareness: It's no secret that the chimney industry gets quite a bit of media attention because of the chimney companies that provide poor information or service/repair work. We believe that through education and awareness, we can make a difference in how all quality chimney contractors are perceived in their local community. In order to move closer to that goal, we provide educational seminars to companies, organizations and trade schools throughout the region. The attendees of these classes are a wide variety of individuals, from private home owners and realtors, HVAC trades people and students to municipal and state officials, as well as other chimney industry professionals. We invite consumers to visit our website to get helpful tips to avoid being scammed. Consumers can also link to the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection through our site.
