"Phone calls to schedule and before their arrival very professional. Came when scheduled, on time and worked quickly but did a thorough job. Would definitely use again.

-Becky O.

"Wonderful! They were amazing and super clean. We just purchased this house and they noticed that the connection between the dryer and the wall was plastics. That" is no longer allowed. One of the men ran to Home Depot and replaced it for me with no extra cost.I would highly recommend them!

Air Duct Cleaning & Air Quality

The air you breathe indoors can become more polluted than outdoor air because it's trapped inside, allowing contaminants to accumulate. Many HVAC companies offer air duct cleaning services, but there's no scientific proof that air duct cleaning improves air quality.

Is Air Duct Cleaning Worth it?

Although there's no scientific evidence proving that air duct cleaning improves air quality, experts agree that there is value in the service.

"While it’s entirely possible that you do have mold in your air ducts, such claims are also a common scare tactic used by some less-than-scrupulous air duct cleaning companies," Angie Hicks says.
Mold Testing & Remediation, Air Duct Cleaning

Do you have mold in your air ducts? Learn how to identify mold and remediate it, along with what you should expect to pay. Angie Hicks provides the answers.

Angie's Answers

Yes Jupiter. It depends on the severity of the situation, is the mold encapsulated in the insulation. If yes, than replace [insulation] it with new. Is it on the casing of the heater? If yes, clean it with a mold neutralizing metal cleaner. It's not a matter of finding something or someone to clean or address the existing mold. It's a matter of finding a contractor to rectify what is causing the mold grow. It's coming from excessive moisture in the air-handler unit. I can say with 100% surety you’re dealing with poor airflow and/or incorrect equipment sizing! Either issue will cause excessive icing of the evaporator coil, which leads to excessive condensate water in the system. The condensate will eventually overflow the drain pan leaving stagnant water in the air-handler housing, which leads to mold growth. I would not let any contractor do any kind of temporary repair, add any device like a UV light or air-cleaning product until the aforementioned is corrected. I talk a lot about this in my videos and on my website. It is the result of improper system design from unqualified contractors. There is a reason why some guys cost more than others, and this is one reason why!

If the ducts are venting through a window I'm assuming the duct work is all easily accessible.  Lowe's and Home Depot sell a cleaning kit that uses an electric drill to spin the brush as it goes through the ductwork.  I've found it to work quite well and you can do it yourself.  It may take a few passes the first time to get everything out if it has been a while since it was last cleaned.  Just make sure you get all of the loose lint out after running the brush through from both ends and you're good to go.  Please note that if the line is not hard but rather a flex duct line you can easily puncture a whole in it with this kit and will do better to clean it by hand.

There are varying opinions on the type of cleaning to have done on your air ducts.  My opinion is that it varies based on the type of duct work you have.  If you have solid material (typically metal) ducting you can have use a company that uses a brush to scrape the system clean.  If you have flexible plastic or foil ducts the solvent cleaners are generally a safer bet since the brushes often tear holes in the soft material and/or pull joints loose.  It really depends on what type on ducting you have.  You're ducts will collect all kinds of dirt, skin cells and allergens over time so if you see dicoloration around your vents it is probably time to get them checked and cleaned.

Also, don't stop at the duct work.  Don't forget your annual system check up by a licensed HVAC technician.  They'll make sure your system is running at peak performance, keeping it running efficiently and with as little impact as possible on your electric bill.  You can often save the cost of the annual tune up in the electricity cost saved.  If you have a natural gas system a bi-annual check and cleaning of the HVAC unit may be advisable to save electricity and gas.

if you have exhausted all of your choices I would call and put a complain in with the BBB then go to the DA and put a complain with them.  Then get a good lawyer and sue them for all you can get.

the answers in this on this page are all correct but you are using a bandaide to to cure the infection have a trust hvac tech open your system to see where the dust is coming from you more than likely have an impacted coil that need to acid wash to bring it back to oringinal anything left from the fire is still inbeded in that coil. just remember after that job to keep your filters clean change once a month in the summer and every two months in the winter.

Air Duct Cleaning reviews in Niantic

Their advertisement in the paper said furnace duct cleaning for $45. Satisfaction guaranteed. The people doing the work showed up and didn't explain the work they were going to do. Only after they had started did they tell me that the service did not include the furnace returns, and the returns would cost an additional $300. After I asked for a discount they sold it to me for $250. There are many reasons I am not happy. Based on their advertisements I would call this company a classic Bait and switch. They pressured me up sales - filter, and more services. The job was not completed - the furnace ducts were only cleaned down ~2 ft from the vents, not the entire run back to the furnace. Next during the return duct cleaning the technicians left my furnace filter in place, and as a result they totally filled a 1 month old filter with dust, which meant I had to replace it after they left at a cost of $30. Next they sprayed an unidentified mist in the ducts which smelled so bad that it made the house almost unbearable to live in, and is still stinking up my house almost a week later. I may have to get another duct cleaning in order to get rid of the stink! Also during that misting treatment the technician made a large( ~18 in

.) puddle of the unidentified liquid on my hardwood floor which I had to clean up after they left. I contacted the company and asked for my money back, but they refused, and told me actual full duct cleaning would cost another $35 per cent. I do not want them back in my house. I am not satisfied. They did not honor their guarentee. Do not use this company.

was an amazing help and very knowledgable in addition to being very personable. He explained everything he was doing every step of the way and gave us heads up on things to look out for post-service. He also helped us get a stronger discount on the whole house service; since I only purchased a single system cleaning off of Angie's List and I had two systems, he worked to get us a 40% discount on all of the remaining services, which was a $364 reduction in cost.

We hired
Niantic Air Duct Cleaners Provider Name Locked
to clean our air ducts. The technician arrived on time and was very informative, providing a thorough explanation of what he was doing. We also appreciated that he informed us that we only needed to have this service done once every 2 years, instead of every year as we have done in the past.

Many clothes dryers are replaced annually because users fail to keep the dryer vent ducts clean, especially the roof cap if you have one. This can cause LONGER DRYING TIMES and OVER-WORKED HEATING ELEMENTS. This can cause elements and/or associated relays to default. Dryer repair can be fairly expensive; so people often just buy new ones.....NOT just a dryer, BUT often a matching washer too. They get very little trade in value for their set, so practically give away their washer and dryer - all because they did not keep the dryer vent clean. Then wise appliance resellers repair them and sell them to folks looking to save some money on a pair. OUR dryer vents through a wall duct an extension in the attic that goes to a roof vent. Our roof vent had collected several years of lint build up that could no longer get blown through the louvered slots. This backpressure of heated air seriously reduces the efficiency of your dryer and can create the situation I described. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR! Get your dryer vent duct and roof cap cleaned. If you plan to heed my advice, but don't really know who to call:
Niantic Air Duct Cleaners Provider Name Locked
, 471-1017. Chase
Niantic Air Duct Cleaners Provider Name Locked
, one of the most well mannered and thorough young men ever to do work for me. Chase is a local Fireman who purchased a retiring operator's business to supplement his income in support of his wife and 16 month old baby. His price was about the average that I've paid in the past, but he went far beyond my expectations by making sure my roof vent was also thoroughly cleaned. That was a tedious job, since no cleaner before him had been as responsible, as thorough. Twenty one years of lint build up because the louvers are small. The fix? Cut out certain louvers to allow better flow to the outside, then vacuum through the louvers. It was extremely tedious and required him to be on my 8/12 roof for 45 minutes. For all this extra work and a couple of minor repairs in the attic duct, he asked for a measly $25 extra dollars over his normal fee of $125. I had watched his effort and his diligence; so my conscience forced me to pay him $200 and felt good doing it. He showed up on time, worked steadily for two and a half hours, had all the proper equipment to do the job and did what no other service person had done before - he did it right and cleaned up THEIR mess. Well worth a $50 tip to me

was the technician that provided the service. He called me to let me know how far away he was from my home before the appointment. He arrived and declared everything that was provided in the promotion that I bought. He carefully described everything that he was going to do and told me that he would also take a look at my cleanliness of my furnace and take a look at my dryer vent line as well because I told him that I purchased a cleaning service of my system in 2013 by a company that I was not impressed with.

performed the air duct cleaning and sanitation work as expected and as a true professional and he showed me evidence along the way by taking photos and showing me the filters. He also got me an amazing discount with the company to clean the dryer vent line and to clean the furnace. I really enjoy working with honest and caring companies that stay true to customer service and providing quality work. I recommend

Both employees were very friendly and professional; they arrived a little early, which was good. Both wasted no time in getting to the task at hand. They described in detail, what they were doing and how. Since I have a silver flexible hose, and the dryer booklet recommended a rigid vent system, the supervisor told me a rigid system wasn't necessary, I would still on occasion have to have it cleaned out; the hose that I was using was good to go. He could have easily persuaded me with installing a rigid vent, which would have cost me extra, so I appreciated his honesty. All in all, I was very much impress with their work and work ethnic; I would highly recommend them and use them again in the future.

They arrived on time as scheduled. Two gentlemen came who very polite, explained their process and answered our questions throughout the eight hour day. We were very satisfied and would highly recommend them.
