One additional comment worth making is that some of the Solar companies attempt to have you lease the Solar System from them which means that you don't have to come up with the cash upfront to have the system installed and they present you with a schedule of how much you will pay for you Kilowatt hours generated by the system. don't EVEN CONSIDER THIS!! It is very expensive plus you do not own the system and therefore you will not be able to claim the 30% Federal Income Tax Credit for the system.

In fairness to the company, this is a busy time for solar providers and my job might not have met their criteria or might have required too much overhead to be profitable, but they didn't explain it that way. They just kind of faded away after their last site visit.
She called back two days later to tell me they'd have to send an engineer down from Cincinnati to measure the retaining wall so they could make a "customized proposal we'd both be happy with." I told her they could measure any 40' x 8' wall to get what they needed and wasn't about to pay to have an engineer come down to measure the wall. She sounded disappointed but didn't seem surprised. Expected a callback but haven't heard from anyone at Icon since then.
