Manchester Interior Painters Reviews

"It took months and there are still problems that haven't been repaired almost a year later. The new hardwood floors squeak all over when walking on them, the trim under a window is coming off the wall, window trim was patched together and looks bad, the window sills aren't flush with the wall or windows allowing cold air to enter, the baseboard is patched together and looks bad and in several areas doesn't meet the floor also allowing cold air to enter the room along the floor on the outside wall. I have contacted Perfect View Remodeling via email and my complaints weren't addressed and I was told by the owner that "he would address my issues when he had a moment". I had the contractor return several times to "repair" this brand new work. He asked me "why it took me so long to catch the mistakes" I don't think I should have to "catch" mistakes, there shouldn't have been any, this was almost an entire new room repair from the studs in.The trim over the new door was patched together instead of using a single 36" length and it shows, the baseboard doesn't meet together at the corners of the room, it was patched together at the end of one wall with a 2" piece. POOR workmanship in my opinion. The texture that was first put on the ceiling had too much texture in areas and not enough near the walls. The second time the texture was sprayed on they stuck stick pins all around the walls near the ceiling to hold up plastic covering the walls. I asked about using stick pins and

said "you won't even see them" well I do see them, pin holes all around the walls.Every where I walk on this brand new hardwood floor it moves up and down and creaks and squeaks. Obviously the plywood sub floor (brand new also) wasn't screwed to the studs properly and not enough screws were used causing the hardwood floor nailed to it to be unstable.I have not had any more contact with this contractor after sending emails about my serious issues with his less than "Perfect View" job and now have to hire another contractor to repair the floor, baseboard, window sills and trim.I would not recommend. "They came to look at the rooms I wanted painted and to see the additional work I wanted, promptly on the scheduled date and time. I was given a quote for the additional work which seemed fair. My schedule was open, so I told them to call me when they could fit me in. They came the following week ,after calling me and giving me the start date a few days after their initial visit.

They worked efficiently with good quality results. Due to the additional wall prep required, it took more than one day to complete the job. By the end of day one, they had stripped wallpaper, patched the plaster walls, primed and started the first coat throughout both rooms! I was told that they would need another half day to finish up so they returned promptly the following morning and they were finished by noon.

They work quickly without sacrificing quality. I do most home improvement projects myself. I had never used professional painters before and their "big deal" definitely won me over. It was great to have the rooms painted so quickly with professional results.
I recommend ProPainters and will use them again for other painting projects.
"Incredible amount of work performed by master artisans. I was astonished and gratified at their skill, professionalism: before they left every day, they cleaned and left my house spotless even as work was in progress. They worked swiftly and with highest degree of skill. They made an unpleasant experience worth the doing until it was done to their satisfaction AND my own. I wish I'd known of the

"I first called for an estimated, he came out within 2 days on a Sat morning to take a look at what I wanted done. He called me back on that Monday giving me a price of $300 for both rooms. I had already purchased paint, so I did not need to buy any from him. He did seem to care about that at all. Painting was completed in two days."
"I cannot say enough about the incredible job

Paciotti did on my previously hideous bathroom. He answered my call the same day, and came over to look the following day. He brought a CD of his prior work on bathrooms, which showed me

took a great amount of pride in his work and wanted to show it to me. That clinched it for me. I knew right then that I would hire him. Never having done this before, and also not sure exactly what I wanted done, he sat down and

me many options of what could be done. He answered all questions patiently and described exactly what he had in mind and what would work for me and what would not. I was very impressed with his professionalism and manner. They began the next week(also impressive).

and his crew were polite, professional, punctual, and never saw anyone even take a break. My new bathroom is beautiful and everything

"They always showed up on time. They were very professional and got the job done very nicely. The quality of their work was excellent. I was very pleased with this company."
"The manager was very professional, a very smart businessman. The workers were very courteous. What they charged was a little pricey, but the quality of work was excellent."
"I had used

the past, though he never finished the last job around 2009 -- so I was surprised to hear from him this year.

contacted me in March 2013 looking for work. He offered a reduced rate of $15 an hour.
Manchester Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
gave me an estimate on exterior work of 16.75 hours. I told him that he needed to stay within 20% of estimate and finish before June. I OK'd additional 2 hour for prep on front peak.
He insisted on being paid every 2 weeks. Then kept raising hourly rate. As part of our arrangement I asked for invoices that broke out the exterior work from other items, so I could keep track of where we were with things. I explained I was on a fixed income now and had a lot of medical expenses related to recurrent cancer. All I ever got from

was a hastily scribbled paper which was difficult to decipher. When I would ask for information he would consistently deflect the issue.

would show up for only a few hours at a time, so there was a lot of extra set-up and clean-up time which he billed me for. I gave him an extra $64 for supplies, but was only credit for $49. He refused to adjust the bill.
After being paid twice his estimate for the unfinished exterior work he disappeared for 3-1/2 weeks. When he did contact me he demanded money. Didn't ask, just demanded, and was neither polite or professional.

decided on his own, when I was out, to scrape the back side of the house. Doing this work was not part of our agreement. He gouged and broke cedar clapboards. I had told him I would replace the clapboard in the next year or two when the large window was replaced and had asked him if he wanted to prime and paint the clapboards before they went up. So he knew the status of this side of the house.
He had pre-painted other clapboard for me. He said it was easier to do it at home. I said OK. Then he charges me transportation time, which essentially doubled his estimate.
There were two projects where I asked him to use alcohol based primer because I had problems with bleed-through -- and he refused. I ended up redoing all the trim on the 3-season porch myself. (I am a good painter myself but have medical issues that complicate doing it.)
I had to leave him alone one afternoon. He went to my basement and stole hundred of dollars worth of best quality brushes. And canvas drop cloths were taken. One belonged to me, one belonged to my carpenter. As an artist I am very particular about my brushes, and had three pristine vintage natural

brushes that were gifted to me by family members. I also buy top-of-the line ones, not cheap. He then had the nerve to be using one of my sash brushes right in front of me.

is someone that never takes responsibility for his mistakes. He broke an antique neon sign in a rare color, worth $1500. I never got a cent. He also put turpentine soaked rags in my barrels of bird food on the 3-season porch. A genuine fire hazard, which luckily I found in time. But it ruined $75 worth of bird food. Again, I never got a cent.

has also has damaged things. He would never tell me, I'd find it after he left. And when asked about it, he would deny it. His business card says "insured", but I doubt it if he's not willing to make a claim.
When I finally told him I wasn't giving him any more money he left two voicemails

foul language that were both offensive and threatening. I tried to help him when he needed money, and he came here with a bad attitude that went from uncoopertive to bullying. I paid him way more than his estimate. Based on our original arrangement I budgeted $500. The exterior was estimated at 16.75 x $15 or $251, plus another $200 for the bath ceiling and cabinets and a little more for some small items. I OK'd an additional $30 for exterior prep. Actually paid $1146, and the work is unfinished and went well beyond the original time frame. When

called looking for more money I asked him when he would finish and he refused to give me an answer. After that I decided not to pay any more.

is capable of doing good work, but his attitude and lack of professionalism, compounded by stealing -- well, Its not worth it. I can not recommend

"painting quality very good. work crew was punctual. initial estimate was higher, and

charged only for the actual time spent on the job.
"He was excellent. His attention to detail was impressive. He sent me to his paint supplier and saved me money on the paint using his discount. He called to ask me if we could put off the job for 2 days as he was delayed on another job. He came as promised on the new day promptly at 9am. They worked for 2 days straight and did a fantastic job. They also did a great clean up so all I had to do was move my furniture back into the room. I will absolutely use this contractor again. 5 STARS.
