"He's good. It's hard to get an appointment sometimes. They have a main number that you call for all these different offices, and that staff is miserable." I hate trying to do anything through that staff. The last time I was there, I complained about it and their receptionist gave me her phone number so I could bypass them. His staff at his office are good, really nice, patient and helpful.

treated my husband twice - once for an upper endoscopy for upper GI issues, and once two years later for colonoscopy to check for issues" related to IBS symptoms. Prior to the procedures, he ordered blood work and fecal samples to
out other causes. Both of the procedures went smoothly, and Dr.
provided excellent bedside manner and post-procedure follow up. He is very easy to talk to, and answers questions to make sure you understand fully. He is very thorough, and personally called to check on my husband after each procedure. He also provides a thorough report of the findings from the procedures, including multiple photos. Highly recommend.

Gastroenterologist reviews in Manchester

Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
precisely diagnosed my problem. I was relieved and reassured and am following his recommended treatment plan. I believe that Dr.
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
is an exemplary physician. He has a tremendous wealth of knowledge and experience. He explained everything clearly and answered all my questions with care and compassion. In addition, the office and nursing staff contribute to a well-run, efficient practice.
- Susan S.

He is passionate, dedication they were high quality, I had enough problem but they are highly patient provided all the services you would need and they did everything in the office and I was in the emergency room on Sunday and they saw me the same next day and they saw me three times a week and that to was the best health care experience I have ever had.
- Emily G.

I was there about a year ago for a checkup and everything went very well. He is just very good. I can get in to see him and I don't have to wait real long. He is very knowledgeable and he was handpicked by my wife, who is very knowledgeable in this field, as the doctor we should see. The facility and staff are both nice.
- Louis G.

I was very pleased. It was a new doctor I was going to and I was very happy. I was able to get an appointment quickly after I had initially called them. The office environment was fine and they took me pretty close to my appointment time. I like the doctor very much which is why I'm going to continue with them. I've scheduled the procedure that the doctor is going to do for me. We communicated very well. They explained everything to me and then their staff walked me through the process of what I need to prepare for when I do have the procedure. I have spoken with the billing department a couple of times and they've been very helpful and cooperative. I will be using them again.
- Albert M.

We showed up on time for our scheduled appt., filled out paperwork in a timely manner (in addition to providing medical history online the day before as requested). We waited over two hours in the lobby to see a provider and many of the patients who checked in after us were seen first. There was no explanation or apologies for the long wait...when I hinted at it, I was told "That's how it is sometimes". Everyone we interacted with was friendly and no one was rude, but I still felt we were overlooked somehow and I was disappointed that it wasn't acknowledged. The provider we saw,
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
, ARNP was great and we were pleased with the proposed treatment plan. We definitely would return to the clinic but next time we'll make sure to be more assertive about how long we've been waiting.
- Richard P.

I have been using her for five years. She is very compassionate. She is nice and sincere and professional. The staff is friendly and professional. I would highly recommend her. I intend to have her as my oncologist for as long as possible.

I was able to see Dr.
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
quickly due to a cancellation. He again recommended surgery and explained it was an out-patient procedure with 3-4 day recovery. He had said as much the first time I saw him. After so many years of struggling with this condition, I discussed it with my husband and we decided surgery was the best option....More /> Due to another cancellation, I was able to schedule the surgery within two days. I am admittedly terrified of "procedures" and my husband and I thought a speedy time frame would be best, not giving me too much time to reconsider/cancel/chicken out.
I went in to have a thrombosed hemorrhoid removed. During the prep, I repeatedly informed the staff and Dr.
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
that I was allergic to codeine-based pain killers. It is also on my chart. I asked that they prescribe something other than Vicodin or Percoset as it would be a waste of money/medication. They did not.
Also during prep, they asked me to sign a consent form. I reviewed and there was a part that mentioned where my doctor had informed me of all the risks. He had not, so I did not sign the form, wanting to know from him what those risks were.We had done some online research and knew of a few risks, but our error was searching for info on the surgery, NOT the recovery. That was probably my biggest mistake. Dr.
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
was CLEARLY irritated that he had to manage a patient in this way. He informed my husband and I that risks were minimal, the greatest being infection. Four weeks post-op I know this to be nothing other than a flat-out lie.
Post surgery, Dr.
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
informed my husband that my surgery was more involved than initially planned as there were internal issues to deal with. Again, my husband informed Dr.
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
that I was allergic to the codeine based pain script he had given my husband. He told him to "make me take it."
I did try to take it because the pain was incredible- nothing I've ever experienced before. And I threw it right back up - because I am allergic to codeine. We called the on-call doctor and he told me to take Tylenol,so I did. After four days, I could not stand, walk or sit for longer than 10 minutes. I was out of work for six days (I had planned for 2-3, with a weekend recovery included for 4-5), working from home and taking half days the following week and a half up to my follow-up appointment. In this time period, I called the office no fewer than four times, trying to get assistance with my pain management. The PA kept telling me to take Tylenol every 4 hours, which I did - even waking up in the middle of the night to do so as the pain would wake me up. Never did I speak directly to Dr.
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
At my follow up appointment, I waited 40 minutes for Dr.
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
. I had told the PA that I had questions first and would like to remain dressed to discuss my concerns. Dr.
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
was clearly irritated that I should question my procedure. When I asked how the surgery differed in what was planned versus what took place, he became irritated and said that there was no change in plan. When I questioned him - this was NOT what he had told my husband post-op, he seemed to actually recall my surgery and explained what he did. In this 10 minute question/answer period he did not sit down, but loomed over me, increasing both my fear and frustration . It was very clear he did not like the questions. When he left the room for me to prep for examination, he did not return for 20 minutes, leaving me lying half naked on a table.
When he and his PA returned - he informed me that I was healing well. When I AGAIN questioned the pain management, he informed me that he could offer another codeine-based pain
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
, a topical pain-relief cream and anti-nausea meds to combat my allergy.
While I am trying to keep this review impersonal/objective, I will admit that I had a vision of my hands around his throat - an attempt to cause him as much pain as I had unnecessarily endured over the previous 3 weeks. WHY had this not been mentioned, discussed or suggested prior to surgery OR during my repeated calls? Dr.
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
actually chastised me for taking too much Tylenol.
While I am healing and the surgery seems to have been a "success", it has been four weeks (not days, Dr.
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
) and I am still taking the pain meds and anti-nausea meds to deal with the pain, which is mostly surrounding bowel movements, which is to be expected I learned this from the internet, not my doctor). Our post-op research has shown that there are many risks to hemorrhoidectomies: rectal stenosis, rectal prolapse, hemtoma, fecal impactation, rectal skin tags, trouble with urination. These risks were never mentioned by Dr.
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
or his PA. There were also several things we could have done to better prepare for this surgery had we better understood these risks and recovery. As a patient, I take some responsibility in my care. While I did research, I did not do enough research, mostly out of fear. I think that is what is key here - I was terrified. My husband was terrified. I blacked out from the pain at one point, nearly knocking myself out on the side of the tub. We had questions that were answered incorrectly and without concern for my over-all well being.
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
's bedside manner is atrocious. He is cocky, impersonal and rude. While I respect the time, education and money it takes to become a doctor, it certainly does not mean that his time is more valuable than mine. It does not mean that he is more or better educated than I am. It does not mean that he can treat his patients in the manner in which I was treated. The only reason this review does not have an F-rating is due to the fact that the surgery itself seems to be healing well. All other aspects of this procedure were a nightmare. I do not recommend this doctor in any fashion. I hope this review saves someone the pain and fear I endured.
- Margaret T.

My Colonoscopy went great!
Had an initial meeting with Dr
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
about a month prior to the procedure and she obtained a complete health history and checked out all of the necessary areas of concern to ensure that I could safely withstand anesthesia and the procedure. I was provided with several options for "colon prep" and together we made the best choice for me. I was provided with absolutely every detail necessary to safely complete the prep. Four days before the colonoscopy, I received a message from the surgical center inviting me to watch 2 videos on-line that would review the procedure I was about to undergo. Three days before the colonoscopy, I received a telephone call from the surgical center and we reviewed my health history and my colon prep instructions to make sure that I was all set. I was also provided with emergency numbers to call if I needed them. The day before the colonoscopy, I needed to limit my diet to clear liquids and then take medicine to empty my
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
. All went fine. The day of the colonoscopy, I arrived at the surgery center at 7:30am - from the minute I arrived until I left I was treated warmly by all of the staff members working with Dr
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
. First my basic vitals were taken, then I got undressed and into the surgical gown, then the anesthesiologist came in an introduced themselves and again went over my health history and told me every thing that was going to happen, next, I signed some papers and was wheeled into the procedure room. It was over before I even realized that it was happening. Dr
Manchester Gastroenterologists Provider Name Locked
provided to me the initial results of my exam and some pictures of my colon. I was completely recovered and out the door by 945am. I highly recommend Dr
