"I see Dr. LaStarza approximately once every three months because I am a Diabetic. We went over the blood work that I take before every visit and find out if I am" doing a good job or not with my diet. I have lately been to the hospital because of various problems and I also explain to him what took place. He gave me new medicine this visit. The appointment went quickly but I felt as though all questions had been answered and was satisfied with his care.

"I went to Dr
based on Angie's List reviews. He has a nice bedside manner and is thorough. It is easy to communicate with him and his office via the electronic portal.

Internal Medicine reviews in Essex

I couldn't live without her. I called and they told me to come in right away. She took care of what needed to be taken care of. I'm fine today.

It's been 5 days and we haven't heard anything so I called the office. The doctor never wrote the brain scan order in her chart so nothing was done. Keep in mind that we had to fill out a
Essex Internists Provider Name Locked
questionnaire about current symptoms when we arrived. Then the nurse asked the same questions and entered it into the computer. Then his medical student assistant can in asked the same questions and entered it into his computer. Then (after 2 hours) the doctor came in asked the same questions and entered it into his computer. After all this information gathering and the doctor saying she needed to have the scan, the order was never written or even entered in her record. Now my mother is afraid of going back to him and refuses to see him anymore. We have cancelled the future appointments and requested that her family physician make a referral to a new neurologist and to schedule a brain scan to investigate the cause of the headaches and shooting pain.

Dr did not want to continue with current medications I had been on for low testosterone. Had blood work done which took 7-10 days. Why would any lab work take that long? I had already been off my bi-weekly injections for 2 weeks while waiting for the appt date. Then when results.came back show in the low T, he sent me to a Urologist of which I had already seen one in the past 6 months. I called the office to request they just call in an order to the pharmacy to get the injections there but all you get is VM for his assistant who didn't call back. I called again and left another VM. This time I received a call back but they argued about keeping me on the same regime as 4 Drs before ordered. I ended up calling my past Dr who called in the prescription! Now looking for another Dr.

There had been a mis-communication with the surgeon's office (cataract surgery) and I needed to have the approval for surgery in three days. Dr.
Essex Internists Provider Name Locked
was incredibly helpful in promptly getting me to the lab for bloodwork and then on the day before the surgery was scheduled, he completed the physical and transmitted his notes to the surgeon while I was in his office. He made a very stressful situation much more bearable.
Could not thank Dr.

and his staff enough.

It was my first time at the clinic and the receptionist chewed me out because I was 5 minutes late because this was my first time going I couldn’t find the building.

He takes his time to spend with you and doesn't just throw you in and out. His staff is used mostly for scheduling, blood pressure, temperature, etc. and the doctor does everything else. The staff has always seemed nice to me.
- Gail M.

Excellent. Dr.
Essex Internists Provider Name Locked
was so great as well as the entire staff. Took as much time as I wanted or needed to talk about the procedure & prep options. It was actually an extremely enjoyable experience from the consultation to the actual procedure.
- Joanne L.

She is available on weekends. She specializes in diabetes and stuff like that. She's great. You get an appointment with her. She does her thing and she sits down and she will personalize any medicine. She always wants to know more. She's just great. She's just terrific and I'm not really fond of doctors but I recommend her.
