I bought my last house and also sold it FSBO.  For me, both ends of the process were simple and relatively hassle free. 

I advertised in the paper once a week and had an open house every Sunday for about three weeks.  I also had an FSBO sign in the front yard that I would put balloons on (for attention) when I had the open house.  It sold quickly. 

The cost of an attorney to go over the paperwork was MUCH less than the price of a relator.  I bought one of those ready-made packages from the nearest office store, read it over and made a few changes to it.  Then I had the attorney look it over.  I think it saved some money having the attorney just look over the document and make changes rather than having him create the entire thing. 

 When I decide to move out of my current house, I will definitely go FSBO again.

Yes! Movie tickets, 2 hours at the spa, 10 rides at your local "iFly", etc. Bottom line: You know your clients. Find out what they do to reward/pamper themselves and give them that!

My experience with 's real estate service always go very well for me. I have contacted her multiple times to support my real estate needs.

They are by far the WORST management co ~ esp !!! Getting anything fixed was almost impossible! I contacted them EVERY week for 4 weeks regarding ALL of the outside lights burned out! I fell and broke my foot the evening after my last email to !!!!!! the following day ...More they were FINALLY out!!! come to find out TWO OTHER tenants had fallen & one is STILL walking with a cane ~ a YEAR LATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sent in an email that i could file another frivilous lawsuit ~ since I am them for my foot ~ since I don't know how to accept responsibility ~ my responsbility was to contact them ONCE on the lights ~ it was THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO FIX THEM IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!!! Excuse me ~ IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD!!!!

This is a nightmare! It's not over as of this posting, I've had to hire legal counsel to protect myself. I don't know where to begin other than to say I have fired her twice. Crossroads doesn't seem to care and has not offered to provide another agent. My working septic system failed inspection due to new ...More EPA rules. Ms. Highly failed to inform us of new EPA water rules which would have changed our pricing and negotiations. I questioned her extensively about point of sale inspections regarding septic systems before signing. She told us in her almost 40 years in the business no one has ever had to replace a system! I called the Crossroads office and spoke with manager, representing myself as someone who was interested in selling my home with a septic system but was concerned with the new EPA regulations. I asked him if his agents were aware of the new guidelines? He assured me all the agents have taken courses/seminars and are well educated about new EPA rules. Someone is lying. 2nd issue. Ms. Highly is acting as dual agent, she is representing all parties. Therefore she is only suppose to present offers, she cannot negotiate on behalf of anyone. Well, she tried very hard to renegotiate a signed contract we had with our buyer for less money! This is not in our best interest, she represents us. My husband got so mad he stormed out of her office. 3rd issue. Home I purchased had a light tan roof. Contingent offer the roof will be replaced. I had 3 way call with owner & ms Highly where I was told the exact roof was being put on, same color and grade. Well, they decided to put a red and black roof on the dark brown stained cedar house without ever consulting us, the buyers who will have to live there. This is not the house I signed papers on! The roof issue has been a nightmare. Since September this roof could have been installed! They kept playing around till November when it was cold. We finally said it was too cold for proper roof installation and we requested the money be put in escrow till the spring and weather is warm. The push back we received from Ms was unbelievable! She became rude and verbally abusive! The financial lender even got involved. First the lender said no problem with an escrow account, then story changed to escrow account was only good for 3 months, "so you might as well put the roof on". When she said that, I said good bye, we will find other financing. Then the story changed again, to escrow account is open as long as you need it. Ms. Highly was in my home last Weds. with my buyer. The buyer left. She statred screaming at me, calling me names, calling me ungrateful! I was nervous and frightened in my own home! I moved quickly towards the front door, one of us was getting out of there. There are things I can't post here as now attorneys are involved. But this I can tell you, do yourself a favor, there a thousands of agents out there who will not frighten or intimidate their clients. Find them.
