You can instantly tell that
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
loves dogs and is extremely comfortable around them. She is great at making owners feel comfortable too! Her techniques are NOT a quick fix - you're not going to have 1 or 2 sessions and magically have a perfect dog.
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
gives you the tools to communicate and form a trusting relationship with your pet, and then it's up to you to do the work on a daily basis and be consistent. It's been about 2 months since our last training session, and Star is doing much better. She can now be within about 10 feet of another dog without flipping out....something that was impossible for her before. She is my running
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
, and she used to freak out and pull me over if we even saw another dog; now we can see a dog across the street and she will look but keep moving and she no longer pulls on her leash. There have been a couple of times when we even passed within a few feet of another dog on the sidewalk and she didn't react, although she's not consistent with this yet. Progress has been slow, but steady, and looking back, it's impressive how far Star has come!
I've also been using
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
's techniques to teach Star some tricks, and she now knows "speak," "play dead," and "happy dance" (where she jumps around in a circle on command) and we are working on "wave hello/goodbye."
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
's instruction also helped me form a closer bond with my dog, and Star is more easily focused and seems to be a calmer and happier pooch overall.
The $100/hour price tag is a bit daunting, but I shopped around and it's actually a great deal compared to what a lot of other trainers are charging for private sessions. And how much you get out of that $100 is up to you - once
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
is gone, if you are dedicated and put in the work every day, you WILL see results. I couldn't be happier and look forward to seeing even more progress with my dog as we continue to work together.

She is a good listener and provided us practical tips on how to walk the dogs in a public setting. Then for the door greeting since she came to the house we rolled played people coming in. It was a great refresher for us!

I adopted two puppies from SPCA that are having trouble socializing. Trainer seemed like a nice guy but could not get near either dog in an hour. His advice was to let them get a little hungry and only hand feed them. Not bad advice really but that seemed to be the only plan.

With just a few hours of time spent learning from
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
, most Drake's issues have improved significantly. It's certainly a family commitment -- the changes need to come from everyone, not just the dog, in order to be effective. We have needed to change how we communicate to Drake, and he has been much relieved and happier since we made these changes. Our walks are much more enjoyable, and the mental engagement that is now present on our walks results in much more energy expended -- usually for both of us! There is much less barking in our house. There is much less marking and stops to

on our walks. While we continue to work on the thunderstorm anxiety and some aggression towards other dogs, there has been much improvement made in both of these areas -- there is no longer a time were we are not in control of our dog, which is very important as he is very large for his breed (115 lbs, and very tall). We will celebrate the first anniversary of Drake's adoption in just a few weeks -- we are so proud of his excellent progress, and we owe a large thanks to many of Drake's improvements to

's excellent guidance. I would recommend his services to anyone who needs help with their dog's behavior!

During my evaluation visit,
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
had Penny, the untrained rescue, walking in a 'heel' within 10 minutes. I was amazed!!! This was a dog who pulled incessantly on the leash and was VERY hard to control! He also took me outside and let his dog out of the very cool truck - several kennels were inside. His dog, a Belgian Malinois, listened and responded to many commands, and did some amazing things. It was very impressive.
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
presented me with several different training packages including him taking Penny for a week or so and boarding her and training her himself - returning her to me when he was finished. I wanted to learn to train my own dogs, so opted for the unlimited lessons training package that included two ecollars (an extra for my other dog) and receiver, both with lifetime warranties. Also group lessons so that dogs could learn to respond with multiple distractions. I just had my third lesson and cannot extol this program's success enough. My dogs are in control. They walk on a LOOSE leash. There is no more bedlam when we walk out of the door. They don't bark, jump or roughhouse. They are continuing to become well behaved dogs and they LOVE training time. I will say I had a previous experience training my first GSP with the typical food reward method of training. She did not respond 100% of the time. I wanted dogs who would come when called, stay sitting when told to sit and allow me to be in control. This became compounded with TWO GSPs...I had to do something different and a friend recommended
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
. I have never regretted this decision.
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
is knowledgeable, focused and very professional. He usually arrives early for our appointment. He is a real dog lover and they respond well to him. The ecollar thing can be offputting to people - believe me, it is not a 'shock' but more of a twinge. You only turn up the numbers when they refuse to listen. They will react just as well off of the collar as on the collar with consistent training. My girls are better dogs and so much more fun to live and interact with since we began training with
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
. I highly recommend them.

We have been trying to contact this provider but he does not return calls or emails. We had a June date for training and he had to cancel b/c of a legal matter. We were gracious and re-scheduled to
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
, but we then had a death in the family. We asked for our money back, but they refused. We finally found a family member who could bring our dog to be trained and we've been calling and emailing since then, but have received no response. We are ready to file in small claims court. This is our only option for contacting the provider. He hasn't answered any recent emails or phone calls. I refuse to leave another message b/c his phone message is 3 mins long!

We have used them multiple times over the last year, several times for a week at once. The team is great (big thanks to
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
!) and they are reliable, well priced, and do a great job. We have no complaints.

It was amazing.
She uses very clear, concise and kind training methods; she urged me to practice every day.
And it's effective.
i'm very grateful as well as relieved to have my dog responding so well.

The training went very well.
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
was professional, patient, and very knowledgeable about dog behaviors. She gave me a wealth of information which I placed into action the very next day and it was very successful. She empowered me to take control of my dog in a firm yet fair manner. She called me the next day to see how everything was going and told me that I ended the session telling me that I can call or text her anytime if I have any questions or concerns. I did call her a couple of days later and she got back to me very quickly and was a great help to me. I would HIGHLY recommend her services.

We have two dogs. Both were adults when we took them in. One dog was on her third home. Both came with "issues." Both desperately needed training.
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
is our fourth attempt to find a trainer. One trainer wouldn't even let our newest dog in her training class. Another wanted us to leave her for a month in their care. Another wanted us to use a clicker. We tried that. It was not effective in our case. We have two very reactive dogs and we needed help in a hurry. We have had two in-home visits and both have been very productive. We actually stopped walking our dogs before we met
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
because any dog they saw made them crazy. We are using e-collars for both dogs. We tried them out on ourselves before using them for the dogs. It is very much like an invisible fence collar, but it has settings so you can customize it to the dog. He explained why our dogs behaved the way they did. There is no food involved in the training, just lots of praise. We were instructed on how to properly use the e-collars and how not to use them. He let us know what we were doing to cause some of the behaviors. We knew that we needed help and the feedback is constructive. But we were also very eager to learn and work with our dogs to make them good K9 citizens. There is a lot more instruction for us than the dogs and its like we have two totally different dogs. We started with just a couple of basic commands out on the front sidewalk.
Bristol Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
is a hands on trainer. He isn't telling us what to do and sending us home. He shows us, watches us do it ourselves. It makes all the difference. If we forget to praise our dog or we are giving mixed signals to our dog, he lets us know. That is exactly what we needed! We have three training sessions left. The first two have been so productive, we cannot wait for the rest. We also plan to take group classes to help keep our dogs socialized and sharp once we fully accomplish the basics.
