"We started out at Lowe's in
, NJ and had a great experience with
. Since Lowe's does not carry the granite" and works with subcontractors, we we given a list of vendors and their preferred vendor (Progressive Dimensions). In between some pretty good snow storms, we called and arranged for a measurement of the counter space. This part went flawlessly as he arrived on time and was done in short order. Between another set of snow storms, we went down to
River. Temperature outside was 5 and very windy. Once we found the entrance (don't use their address of
; the entrance is on 166), we went inside where it was nice and warm. They were doing a good business, so we had to wait about 5 - 6 minutes. Once it was our turn, we went out into the cold, got on a golf cart and were whisked away to the "
". We had always talked about getting Uba Tuba for the kitchen until about 5 minutes into viewing their selection. We (rather she) found a slab of Typhoon
that was to come home. We already knew that, based on the number of square feet, that for every upgrade in price (A, B, C, D, E) we would leave about $300 poorer. D it was. The next week we went back to PDC and saw the slab, chose where we wanted the cuts, and were done in about 15 minutes. Four days later, the installation crew showed up with the cut slab and set about installing it. I think these guys were fantastic! They secured the dishwasher and undermount sink, and then checked to see if the cooktop (new) would fit the opening and cabinet beneath. Unfortunately, the cabinet needed to be modified. Expecting them to just leave it, I went to get my cutting tools. Five minutes later THEY had the modifications done for me! After a few minutes cleaning up, they were gone and the wife (and I) had a lovely new countertop. The worst part of the whole ordeal (other than the freezing temperatures): finding the entrance. The best part: the installation crew. If they get to read the review: I'm going to start looking at You Tube for installation videos! (great guys with a great sense of humor).

"I contacted
to fix a relatively easy leak around the sink in the kitchen. His workpeople were very polite and did the job in a very professional" manner, coming at the time they specified. Having spoken to
, I asked him to come over for advice as I wanted my bathroom redone in marble. His professional advice was invaluable and his estimates for his work were spot on. We did the bathroom without a contactor and
recommended some people to do the various other work , plumbing , glass works etc. All of the people did their work as specified and they worked well together doing a very difficult job in total coordination, so that no time was wasted.
was in charge of coordinating this. All of this work was done within the six weeks he specified. Already satisfied with the work we took him on to redo our kitchen totally , including the dining , sitting and living area. Because of the dust we knew this would involve we asked that they complete the work in three weeks, while we go away for a holiday . This was done with an interior designer and upon our return , we had a completely new section of the home. Our last work with
was to ask him to recommend a suitable tile for our pool area , as it was painted before and looked shabbily dirty from the rainfall coming through the screen at all times. I have nothing but the best regards for Mr.
's work and would recommend him highly to anyone desiring any type of tile work done. His is a very professional company and he will advice you on different options to suit your budget.

Artificial (quartz) is cheaper, more uniform, has fewer voids to collect dirt, and is almost as abrasion and chip resistant.

Granite is more expensive, stains and collects dirt a little easier as a rule, and is slighly more chip resistant as a rule.

For durability, I would not rate one over the other - barring a 250 lb guy hopping up on it and cracking it, either is likely to outlive you. Selection is typically based on appearance - quartz tends to be more uniform looking and does not always do a good job of simulating the veining and variations that natural stone has.

Now some of the man made stone counters rival the real granite and othe stones without the maintainence of stone. There are many of them out there and it is more a choice of looks than anything else. Corian is still a strong choice of tops today and one advantage is it can be repaired when scratched on site. If you don't mind the maintainence you can't beat the looks of real stone though unless you need a few pieces to make up the top as the graining may be hard to match up. I am impressed though at how realistic some of the man made products have become. It is more an issue of what brand are available in your area. Most all are made the same way with crushed stone and basically an epoxy binder used to make the sheets.

came out on a Sunday to view the damage done by a shoddy installer. My electronic cooktop was install but the installer had butchered up my countertop. After accessing the damage he provide me with several options on repair / replacement. They even came out and preformed the work while I was at work, I came home the work area was neat and tidy with a nice repair that's much better to look at than what was originally left by the installer. Very professional guy with a ton of knowledge.
- Jackie S.

eThe installers came mid morning and began work straight away on the demo of the kitchen. There was about 55sq ft of counter to rip out and replace with our chosen granite. They work through out the day running into a little troubole with

problems behind our wall. The two guys stayed until around 9pm that night to finished the job. They were professional and polite through out the whole day as was Nic the account manager / rep that we communicated with through out the duration of the project. We are delighted with the results and have already recommended them to people who are thinking about this type of remodel. Great job

He was very prompt and courteous and finished all the work quickly. Even though there was a lot of sanding involved when shaping the countertop for the new undermounted sink, he made sure to clean up all the dust and debris before he left. I highly recommend him to anyone who may need any type of solid surface counter repair!

These guys did an amazing job installing my counter tops!! I am completely blown away with my new kitchen. Installers were most excellent and were highly professional.

came out and gave their estimate and rechecked for accuracy before actual installation. They made this as painless as possible!

I had a great experience with
Fort Collins Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
. I have a large kitchen -- 76 square feet of counters, including an island -- but they got the job done in one day and it looks great. The granite only has one seam in the whole job, and you can barely see it. I also had them bring me a new sink.
Fort Collins Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
helped me pick out my two granite slabs, and also tiles for the backsplash, and they work very well together. He gave me the names of a plumber and a tile installer, and they came out the next day after the granite was installed to

the tile and hook up my new sink. All in all, the job went very well. I did have to call

once to remind him that someone needed to come out and seal the granite, but he was there within a few minutes after I called. All the workmen were friendly and willing to explain the process to me. I am planning to have

put granite counters in my two bathrooms.

It went very well. I sent

an e-mail during his vacation requesting an estimate, he promptly responded and we set up a date for the following week. As mentioned in earlier reviews,

's role is similar to a project manager, but he regularly works with the same crew. During the estimate
Fort Collins Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
showed us several different types of granite which he usually works with, we also went to the granite fabricator's warehouse to view additional granite slabs (around 10). As we had previously looked at granite at numerous warehouses, we decided to go with a different granite than what
Fort Collins Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
had in stock. This raised the price of the original bid since they needed to purchase the slab from another supplier, which was fine with us.

provided the name of a designer who was available to assist with picking out the backsplash.
Fort Collins Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
coordinated everything very well between making the countertop template, scheduling an electrician, plumber, and tile work. We didn't feel like it was a granite installer trying to connect the plumbing or electrical, which happened with a previous granite company. When the plumber was installing the soap dispenser (we ordered the faucet and soap dispenser from

again for a master bathroom remodel.

The job went well and looks great!
Despite it being a very busy season, he was good about getting back to us when we phoned. He worked with our shifting renovation schedule as we installed a new base cabinet. I would definitely hire him again and would recommend him to others.
He also helped us with a new tile back splash. He used a tile subcontractor, It looks so much better than the old

Excellent. I am rather particular and was impressed with their attention to detail. The caulk color they chose was PERFECT. They even cleaned up. The work done looks beautiful. There was a small follow up item and they returned promptly to address it. Considering the time they were here and the quality of the work, they are certainly worth the price.
