"The team at
&K did a fabulous job in our property. We are very happy with every single project they completed. It is not only that" they are AMAZING masons but they are wonderful hands on people. They are very punctual and professional. They answered all the questions we had and were very open to any changes we had to make. They did a good job cleaning up after everything was finished. We would happily recommend them and they are our to go to masons for every project (big or small) we had or will have in the future.

He hasn't legally abandoned the job as long as he is still showing up and doing something, even if it is very little, from time to time.  You'll have to fire him first.  Have documentation that the job is not being done in a timely manner, showing when he has and has not worked.  Be ready for a fight and probably a legal battle since he will likely still want more money or won't refund money paid for incomplete work.

Change the locks and inform the contractor their services on your property are terminated.  Tell him if anyone representing his company enters your property they will be considered trespassing and will be prosecuted.  Then hire another company to check the work he has done to make sure it is right.  Somehow I doubt it is given the nature of his work ethic.  Then have the new contractor repair any bad workmanship and finish the job.  Keep records as any documented things that have to be redone will help your case against the first contractor.

I would recommend finding a good hearth retailer in your area and work with them to select a stove that is right for your home. They should also be able to arrange for certified installer to handle the installation. Keep in mind many areas require a city or county permit for the installation, and it may be wise to have the chimney and fireplace inspected by a certified chimney sweep beforehand.

Fireplace Repair reviews in Evans

We are very pleased with the work
Evans Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
performed. Their employee was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Gave us a heads up call to let us know they were running late which was appreciated.

- Edward R.

He wasn't able to take on the job, but he was very helpful in assessing the problem and explained everything very clearly. He was very easy to deal with. Really good at communicating what was needed and just gave a lot of good guidance.
- Carolyn D.

Mammoth came out within a week of buying the special deal. The employee was on-time, friendly and professional. He inspected and cleaned the glass of our gas fireplace. There was no up-sell for anything as our fireplace was working well.
I would absolutely call this company if we were to have a problem in the future.

The technicians arrived approximately in the middle of the time frame we were told to inspect them. Our chimney was fine. The
Evans Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
was disassembled and cleaned and we were told that it needed new gaskets (which it did). We were told that they would have to be ordered and we would be called when the gaskets came in so an appointment could be scheduled to install them. We waited over 01 month and, not hearing anything, called Brothers on 06/08/15. We were told the gaskets were on order and had not yet come in. On 06/17/15 we called and had to leave a voicemail message. Our call was returned on 06/18/15 at which time we were informed that the company which supplied the gaskets was 3 months behind in filling their orders. On 06/30/15, we called and left another message requesting a status on the order. Our call was never returned. On 07/27/15, we called and were informed the gaskets were still not in. We were informed that Brothers was going to contact the supplier (
Evans Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
Castings) and they would call us back to let us know what was going on. We never received a return call. My fiancee visited the store on 08/26/15 and was able to purchase one of the gaskets needed for the
Evans Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
. My fiancee was informed that that particular gasket was probably in stock when our
Evans Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
was initially serviced and the Brothers representative she spoke with did apologize for not knowing. My fiancee was also informed that the other gaskets should be in by the 2nd week of September. We called on 09/10/15 and were informed that the gaskets were coming and we would be contacted when they arrived. After not receiving any word from Brothers, and with cold weather approaching, we contacted another Chimney Sweep company on 09/26/15.
As it turns out, the other gaskets needed for our
Evans Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
(outside of the one we purchased on 08/26/15) were not specialty items, but were made of "loose" gasket material that comes in standard sizes and that most Chimney Sweep businesses probably keep in stock. That was how the other company was able to put gaskets in our
Evans Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
and reassemble it. We do not know why Brothers could not do the same thing as we had visited there showroom prior to their service call and noted that there was some "loose" gasket material in their showroom.
We understand that businesses, especially small to medium sized businesses, have their problems and running one cannot be easy what with the abundance of competition and the economy being what it is these days. However, businesses survive by having satisfied customers (which can mean repeat business). After our experience with
Evans Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
this year we have decided to take our business elsewhere. We would not recommend them to anyone.
- Richard M.

It was fine. They were good. I had to purchase a part and it ended up more but that was not their fault. I had to get something and it was fine. It wasn't huge. He was good. I would use them in the future.

Arrived on time, was pleasant, went straight to work on my four fireplaces that were in very poor condition. He worked meticulously on each one. Made them all work and look like new. And then gave me a very detailed run-down on what he did for each one and what recommendations he would make for future maintenance. I could not have asked for more or better. Will definitely use them again.
- Helen F.

I booked it through one of Angie's List deals, so the price was good. Scheduling was easy, he showed up on time and was speedy but thorough. Good job.
- William R.

He was very friendly and patient with all of my questions. He even had a treat for my dog! The service was performed efficiently and safely.
