The final date he said he would come was Wednesday, August 6th. He did not show up, and did not call. Finally got through to him on Monday, August 18th. He said he wanted to come over and talk when we got home that evening. We said okay, but to bring the money. He continued to give excuses as to why he hadn't done the work. We notified him when we got home, but reached voice mail. On Tuesday, August 19th, he texted back, "I sent you a text last night said i wad in a meeting for school with my kids and wanted to talk today. I am a single parent and getting to kids prep for school was a little challenging. I understand your frustration but the weather has had a big part in my lack of production. I talked to

I did not want to piece meal your job when i got there i wanted to be deadacted to your job."Since it had been almost 2 months of no-shows, lack of contact, excuses, and no work, we told him, "Have [our] $1,100 back to me by 8:00 Thursday (8/21) or I will have my attorney take action."We have not received our money, and he has cut off communication. Based on other BBB complaints posted, this seems to be his modus operandi. Our Hunter sprinkler system is a little over one year old. We fired the business that installed our sprinkler system due to problems with their workers.
The Affordable Sprinkler System Repairman arrived and started to look at the Hunter system we had installed. After some time wondering what was taking him so long, I went outside to see what he was doing. After some time of walking back and forth between the underground box and the garage at the other side of the house, he discovered what we had told him was wrong with the sprinkler system in the first place (in that the 2 and only zones were having pressure issues).
He then told me that he needed to replace several valves which completely perplexed me since the system was a few month over one year old AND the a valve for some reason had been replaced about 2-3 months ago. I asked him how long this would take and how much this would cost. He told me between 3 hours. He also told me that there was a leak in an underground pipe as well.
So, I asked him to show me exactly which valves needed to be replaced, that I wanted to keep these defective parts to return to the original sprinkler installer, and where this leak was. After looking at what he was doing, he could only show me that one (valve thing.......I couldn't understand what he called it with his accent) round thing with an electric wire was leaking. Thus, he replaced it with another part that looked used to me. I asked him if it was used and he told me it was new (highly questionable considering the obvious scratches and dents in the part). This took him about 5 minutes to replace when watching him. He then took me over into the area where he told me the underground pipe was leaking. Keep in mind this system is fairly new. He pointed on the hill that the area was very wet. I told him there was NO pipe under that area as I was present when they installed the system. He continued to tell me it was a burst pipe. I then pointed-out that there was a sprinkler head at the top of the hill right above the wet area and asked him if that wasn't the reason for the wet area below it.
Further, one sprinkler head that had been replaced a few months ago was not turning. He then told me that it was "broken" and it needed to be replaced. I asked him why the other company that installed this system was able to get the sprinkler heads to turn after some key thing yet he was unable to? Versus arguing with him, I had him change the head on the sprinkler. He then told me that Hunter sprinkler heads had major problems with them and that they always broke. So, he put a RainBird sprinkler head in there instead.
Our system still doesn't operate properly and are without answers.

Initially I had a difficult time getting them out here, and had a few rescheduling issues. They need to work on calling the customer if they aren't going to make it or be late. I came home for work, and they didn't show up so I had to reschedule. I was patient with them, and they showed up. They do quality work at a fair price. Their response was they had to wait because of the rain though we as a board were informed of that after they completed the work. We also asked

I asked him if we could schedule it then, since I was already on the phone with him. He said he would be happy to come for the service on Monday, 18 August, but he didn't know what time. He said he would call me on Friday, 15 August, to arrange a time, reconfirmed my phone number, and asked me for my address. I told him, and gave him a rough idea of where the house is.
No call came on the 15th, and no visit came on Monday the 18th. I called on Friday the 22nd, and again he said he would be by on Monday (the 25th, today), and he asked for my address again. I told him and I asked what time to expect him. He said he didn't know. I asked him to call me on Monday so that I would know when he would be there, and reconfirmed my phone number.
Today, at noon, not having heard from him, I called him. I asked when he would be by, and he said he was just about getting ready to head out in my direction, and, by the way, where did I live again? I told him yet again, and he was confused. He said he thought I lived in a different city. I told him that I live NEAR that other city, but in a different one. He said he thought he could be here by 4:00 pm.
I told him that I had an appointment that meant I had to leave no later than 3:30. At first, he said he wouldn't be able to come, but then he asked if I would be around until 3:00. I said he needed to arrive by 3 in order to finish the work before I left at 3:30. He said it would be no problem, and he would call me when he got into the area.
At 1:15, he phoned me. He said he wouldn't be able to get to my house before 3:15, and since that wouldn't be enough time, he'd need to reschedule.
At this point, I believe that

may be one of the most inappropriately-named businesses I've dealt with. I was not impressed with his demeanor on the telephone, his failure to contact me to make appointments, his failure to keep appointments made, or his last minute cancellation.
