"Complete nightmare. I kept trying to give them the benefit of the doubt despite mounting warning signs but in the end it seems clear that this is a disreputable" company committing multiple acts of fraud. I first met salesman
when he knocked on my door mid-January, 2015. He gave me the usual spiel about the benefits of going solar, which I was already familiar with. In fact, I had already worked with a couple of other companies, trying to come up with a cost-effective solution but due to my particular financial and tax situation, the long term benefits just didn't outweigh the near term expense. I explained this to
, but he was persistent, urging me to give him the go-ahead to do a soft credit check so that he could try and come up with a plan that would benefit me. I agreed. My first warning sign came when I tried to find some other reviews for this company. Back in late January, there was not a single review available -- nor even a listing -- for this company on Angie's List, and only one review on Yelp (which has since been deemed by Yelp to be "not recommended" i.e. suspected of being fake). I brought up this concern to
, who said he would get together the names of satisfied customers and their reviews. Meanwhile, I receive a letter from GreenSky Credit dated 1/20/15, congratulating me on my approved installment loan to finance my "Accelerated Construction" project. I was a little annoyed at this, because it meant that more than just a soft credit check had been done and this newly opened account could impact my credit score. But the real shocker came a couple weeks later, when I received my first statement from GreenSky, showing 2 purchases billed by
Inc. in the amount of $3475.00 each, dated 1/22 and 1/26. I immediately called GreenSky and explained that I had never given anyone my account number nor agreed to any charges. To my relief, GreenSky was very understanding and sympathetic, and immediately suggested freezing the account so no new charges could be made, while encouraging me to contact the vendor I was working with to clear this up. At about this same time,
provided me with a small packet of printouts that consisted of a page from the Better Business Bureau for
(with a subheading "By: Accelerated Construction" -- their parent company, I was told); it claimed they had an A+ rating with 0 complaints. Then there was a page with the Yelp review. Then a page seemingly from LinkedIn with a positive review from a "Mother nature" from zip code 92545. Then a printout of a press release dated February 5, 2015 announcing
had once again earned the coveted Angie's List Super-Service Award for 2014, complete with quotes from
Berlinda and Angie's List founder Angie Hicks. And lastly, there was a copy of their 2012 Super Service Award certificate. I called Angie's customer service and asked if there was any possible way that this company could have received this award in 2012 and 2014 yet not show up in a general
of Angie's List service providers. The answer was no, there was no possible way.
did not exist in their system. I presented all of these complaints/accusations to
on 2/24. He replied that he would be happy to cancel my order if I was not satisfied, claiming the Angie's list info had been provided by his corporate office and that
is the DBA name of the contractor. This is already getting to be a long review, so let me condense the rest. I gave my cancellation request to
, who said it would be no problem. I continued to receive statements from GreenSky showing the account had not been closed. Every time I contacted
, he would act very concerned and friendly while giving excuses, saying because things had progressed to the ordering of materials, they had to arrange their return to their suppliers, etc., etc. Finally, I contacted GreenSky and began an investigation. They asked for all my documentation of dealings with
and said they were satisfied that
was acting fraudulently by not issuing the refund, as no work had been done and
could not offer them any proof that it had. GreenSky has issued me a provisional refund in the full amount while they have initiated charge-back procedures with Visa against

came to the house,
" up the plans and went over the numbers. One thing that surprised me is that they were NOT pushy in any way, they laid the numbers out and took time to answer all of our questions. Over the next couple of weeks they went above and beyond in answer even more questions that we came up with, not only quickly but thoroughly.
took care of getting all of the approvals from our

took care of obtaining all the inspection approvals and from there working with CPS to come out and turn us on. The results have been dramatic. Here is a breakdown of our CPS Electrical bills from January 2015 through today, September 10, 2015. February 2, 2015: $9.22 March 5, 2015: $8.75 April 3, 2015: $6.26 May 5, 2015: $4.33 June 3, 2015: $13.56 (started using the AC more)
6, 2015: $14.79 (used the AC more) August 5, 2015: $57.01 (AC used A LOT) September 3, 2015: $47.72 (AS used A LOT) The results speak for themselves. Prior to have solar up and running, the peak summer months our AC bill would be nearly $200. I highly recommend
, working with the entire team, including
has been a great experience and I personally have worked with other home owners in our neighborhood and family to get solar from
installed. On September 9th I had
come back out to the house to install a solar attic fan. I can already tell a difference as that fan is sucking so much of the attic heat out, which should translate into additional savings during the peak summer months by making the AC unit run less and more efficiently.

Are you talking about powering your home solely on solar (i.e. no back up power source or off grid).

The power, once convered from DC to AC via the inverter, is suitable for use by the home.

Most solar application are in supplement to the current powering of the home and will spin the meter back in the day but are not the primary.

OK - that should strike Atlantic Plumbing off your vendor list !

You say female pipe to copper pipe connection - I hope you are not saying they connected copper directly to galvanized or black iron pipe. If so, there should have been a dielectric union put in there to prevent corrosion, which could be part of your problem.

Also, generally a bad idea to use teflon tape for hot water tank connections - too much thermal cycling, loosens it up over time. Should use plumbers dope for that application.

It sounds to me like a connection problem - if the tank itself was leaking it should be flooding the top of the tank or more likely running down through the insulation and dripping out the bottom.

Unless you are a do it yourselfer, sounds like you need to find a new plumber with good reviews and rating in your area - Search the List (in green banner bar). This should be an easy fix - should have him put in dielectric couplings (about $5-10 each depending on pipe size) if current connection is iron to copper, and even if not, have him redo connection not only for cold but also hot water - if one was done poorly, probably both were.

They did excellent job and were professional from beginning to end! I had another solar panel company come before

. They told me I was not allowed to get solar panels because my bill did not reach a certain amount. Which

did not tell me. They put the panels were I wanted them to go, and were extremely professional. I have the service representative,

We contracted for installation of a solar-powered attic fan. The installation proved to be problematic (we have a very steep roof and a special ladder is needed). The company obtained the ladder and re-scheduled the installation. Everything went smoothly. The customer service is exemplary---I am hearing-impaired and prefer email to phone. They complied with this and were very responsive to all my queries. I will not hesitate to use this company again.
- Audrey A.

Excellent. Very knowledgeable. Very helpful. Able to fix all that the original company did wrong. Also suggested ways to help make the system last longer. Definitely the ones to call.
- Wendy L M.

They seemed to be very reasonable. They also offer rentals and they also put it in your house for free. You contract a specific a price that you're going to pay for your electricity. They'll have you pay "x" number of cents per kilowatt hour. They do free repair.
- David B.

Called SolarShity to ask for there no obligation quote and information. A sales rep spent several hours on the phone with me asking for, and I provided information regarding my electric bills and energy usage. Then he informed me that the number of panels installed on my roof will probably change after the site team comes out and does a site survey and I agreed (not sure why I needed to talk to him). The sales rep than asked me to sign a contract electronically. I told him I wanted all of the information before I signed anything. I was told that the contract didn't obligate me to anything... SO WHY DO I HAVE TO SIGN A CONTRACT???? Although they state that they will give me a free, no obligation quote; they will NOT unless I sign a contract... BUT THEY WILL WASTE YOUR TIME. I told the sales rep from California that I would not sign anything until the quote has been completed and my wife and I agree on the terms. We weren't sure whether we wanted to buy the system out right or get a solar lease. The sales rep told me that this was just the process. So I told him that I am very sorry we can not do business and that unless you can give me a quote without any signatures on anything, I would have to go and would prefer not to her from anyone about a contract or any of Solarshity's policies. I told him to have a good day and we hung up mutually. Then his Regional, Supervisor of the regional and Vice President of some such crap called me and left a message that this was the policy and that I would have to sign the contract to proceed. I left a message for him stating that it was my policy not to sign anything that did not benefit me in some way or protect them in a reasonable way and that he could only call me back if I could get a quote without obligation (Isn't signing a contract an obligation?). I then got a call from the sales rep pleading with me to sign the contract so we could move forward. I told him that this was done. That I wanted all of the information given to him destroyed and that I wanted to be put on their do not contact list... So I then go back to my computer and I have two emails from the rep. The following is the email content on the last email...

, I am sorry to hear you have lost interest in going solar with us.
At this juncture, I would like to ask why you decided not to move forward. Was it me? Was it the company? Was it the product? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Best Regards,

MY EMAIL ADDRESS, ALL OF THE INFORMATION I GAVE YOU AND PUT ME ON YOUR DO NOT CALL LIST FOR REAL THIS TIME!!!! OH... and feel free to check out my new home solar system (on satellite images) in a few months, once I have signed an agreement with another company and after the site survey and agreed contract! LOSERS!!!!!

We signed up for a "free consultation" about solar panels. After a few years of research, we have determined that Tad basically lied to us to close the deal. We made a very poor decision! Instead of checking them, their work, and their word out we decided to advantage of their "special-if-you-sign-up-today" 40% price reduction and signed on the doted line.
Three of the

1) The over statement of total power production. We have never achieved the wattage they said we would achieve.
2) The Production Metering device was a $1000.00 option at the time of sell. They sent one out FREE OF CHARGE almost 12 month's later. Interesting that the Manufacture's Rate of Production begins to decline at the 12 month

3) The over statement of current SREC Pricing. Our SRECs have been selling for less then half what was advertized.
Additional Problems:
1) The array mount points were not sealed properly which resulted in water pentration.
2) They also damaged our roof - broken boards resulted in many slow leaks that contiue to be discovered to this day.
3) The work was completed several months after they said it would.
4) Installation was done in manner that caused difficulties during our roof replacement this past
Colorado Springs Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
The first time, our roof leaked onto our bed in the middle of the night (the night before we were supposed to leave for Christmas with our family - a trip which had to be cancelled), we called our insurance company and they came out to inspect the roof (it had been a rainy and windy night). The inspector's assessment was that the panels had been installed improperly and the leaks were due to the poor workmanship. Several days of attempting to contact the solar panel company resulted in no reply. Only after a personal visit was made to their office along with photographic evidence and verbal promise to seek the council of a lawyer did they send their own inspector. Said inspector, said that it was likely our chimneys not the solar panels. Desipte "their" inspector's findings they agreed to pay for the damages. Payment was only obtained after repeated follow-ups were made.
We later learned that we were far from the only people that had been victimized by this company.
During the Summer of 2015, we had enough and put on a new roof. We called REC for a quote to removed and reinstall the panels. We also called the manufacturer of our solar panels for a recommendation. It was during this call that we discovered Solar World refuses to sell their panels to REC at this time. Solar World's recommended company came in $1000.00 under REC and won the job.

The recommended company agreed that our panels had been poorly installed, and they explained what they would do differently (better footers, closer to the roof, wiring through the roof rather than over the

of the roof and along the outside of the house).

Wish we had used Solar World's recommended company the first time. Better service and a better price!

We were very pleased with the service
Colorado Springs Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
provided. I was first impressed with how responsive and knowledgeable the sales staff was. The crew that installed the panels and did the electrical work was very professional and were on the job when expected. They worked through all the various problems until the job was completed. They followed up with telephone calls to check that we were pleased with the work and to explain how the monitoring system worked. We would use them again and continue to recommend them to our friends and neighbors.
