I couldn't be more pleased, the basement is beautiful and the workmanship is impeccable!!
, the owners, are wonderful people to work with and very responsive to ideas, questions and the changes that inevitably come up when working on a so-called "unfinished canvas". They are very fair and reasonable when cost expenditures are discussed and are more than willing to offer other solutions in any given situation.I would highly recommend the company and would not hesitate to hire them again.

erMike Ban of
came recommended to us. We used a fabulous builder for our first house, but he doesn't do small projects and he recommended a floor guy to us when we moved. The floor guy in turn recommended
for the stairs. He said
was best.
came out and looked at the stairs and we agreed to keep the white wood ballusters.
said some of them might be damaged, so we agreed to plan on replacing 20 of them.
came out with his son and pulled up the carpeting on the stairs, removed the handrails and installed the treads and risers over a weekend in early
. I paid him $3,000 in advance.
just installs the wood, he doesn't finish it. But, our painters said they could paint and stain the stairs for an additional $1,500. However, when
finished the job, I got a call from our painters telling me I should come look at the stairs, because they were a mess and there was no way they could work with them. The handrails were shaky, nails were sticking out everywhere. Eight of the ballusters were cracked through and most of the rest of them were damaged. When we contacted
he said that he has a guy who will come by and finish the stairs and "bondo" the bad ballusters, take care of the nails, etc. We also complained to
about the fact that he didn't use red oak on all of the risers, some were a wood composite. He told us that it didn't matter because we were painting that part white. We told him that we didn't want to bondo anything and we wanted him to come back out and fix things. He came for a few hours and took care of the nails, replaced 8 ballusters and secured the bannisters a little better. He apologized for the original job and said he hadn't realized he had done such a bad job but had been in a rush to get to a fishing competition in Mexico. He gave us the name of the guy who finishes stairs for him.
I had
's guy come out, and he said it would cost us $3,800 to finish the stairs. Meanwhile,
was texting me every day for the remainder of the payment (starting three days after completing the project). We were in the process of moving into the house, so I didn't get back to him for two days and then he threatened to
us. Because we were moving that week, I hadn't had a
to line someone else up to look at the stairs and
wouldn't agree to wait for me have it checked out. He just left me angry emails and texts about his money. I ended up sending him a check because I was starting to get scared of the way he was behaving and because I didn't want to have to worry about him putting a
on our house.
We had two other contractors come out to look at the stairs and both were appalled. One contractor told us that the stairs weren't safe, the handrails were not secured properly and that the ballusters were not secured at all. To demonstrate, he popped out one of the ballusters with ease. So, we ended up removing all of the ballusters, having the stairs sanded and stained and painted and then had new ballusters put in.
We had such good luck in the past with contractors, that I assumed
would also live up to the recommendation. My husband travels a lot for work and we have two small children and I don't know a lot about building. I felt silly asking questions and thought maybe he was right about not using red oak for all of the materials or simply "bondo-
" the ballusters. But, we've had three separate professionals look at the stairs and tell us they were not safe, that they were messy and that
did an incredibly poor job.

One word: incredible!!! Price was checked against 6 others. His price was in line with all the rest--not the highest, not the lowest. He showed up on time--everytime. Worked over the holiday weekend to get the job done for us(we had just moved into the house).
He made sure it was done right and to our satisfaction before he took the check. Incredible work. I cannot tell the difference between the old flooring and the new! Just an amazing experience.

Ed was attentive and listened to our needs during the initial bid process. He was prompt with turning in his bid to us, and it was a very fair bid. Not the absolute lowest bid, but by far from the highest we eceived. However, I felt comfortable in dealing with ED, liked the reviews and references I got, and decided to go with their bid. Ed and his guys throughout the project process were very accomidating, listened to what we wanted (even the changes we made during the project), made lot's of wonderful and concise suggestions to us, which allowed the project to turn out frankly much better than we ever imagined it could turn out. They were always on time every day, put in a full days work (none of this disappearing for hours at a time like some other companies), were professional in their dealings with us as well as very friendly, and finished the project on time given that we made several changes, additions to the project, and requests in the middle of the work. My wife was constantly amazed how clean everything was left EVERY day when she got home and they had already left. They always made it a point to leave the house clean and neat for us each day. I will have NO hesitation to use

was very personable and I was impressed with their use of electronic communications. Just not the best price I got out of the three Angie's List contractors I had estimate the job.

Awesome! This was a very big project and it was completed 3 years after the home was originally built but looks like it was completed at the time of initial construction.
Castle Rock Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
has tremendous experience and offered great design ideas. He did much of the framing and installation work himself but also used a number of other contractors for portions of this project. He is a perfectionist who has high standards of quality for his own work and for those he employs on the job. Every "punch list" item we encountered was completed before
Castle Rock Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
finished the job. He is honest and dependable so I trusted him to be in my home even when I couldn't be there. He's the first call I'd make for any new project. Worth every penny!

obtained all necessary permits, used top-quality materials, and completed the porch in a timely manner. His assistants were prompt and very polite, even cleaning up any mess at the end of each day. We couldn't be more pleased with our porch!

- takes ownership of the job from start to finish. A-1 quality. They even went so far as to put a lock on the basement door so work crews were isolated to basement area only. They made sure our 2 cats could not get out of the house. Ed and/or his brother are on the job-site while work is going on with other trades. The only small minor hiccup was the sheet rock supplier showed up early and off loaded sheet rock in driveway, unscheduled, but other than that- SMOOTH AS SILK- A-1 Quality- THE BEST.
