... so I had Insight before and everything worked well. TWC bought them out and now everything has been a nightmare. The previous round with them we ended up just cancelling everything after multiple, and I do mean multiple visits from a Technician. Then, they tried to bill me for months of service that I didn't even have.
Round 2 ... 6 months later. Some technicians were installing a Fiber Optic line down the back of my property and I asked them about it ... they said it was TWC Fiber Optic. So I decided to try to give them another
. Big mistake! I picked up a "self connect" kit - After 10 days, every night on the phone with them, I have given up. Service calls keep getting mysteriously "cancelled" - WHAT A JOKE.
What a complete waste of time. I am so glad I did not abandon my current provider - I figured something like this MIGHT happen.
The shame of it is that TWC has a monopoly. But what they have a monopoly on, I cannot figure out. ---- High speed internet service that doesn't work?
Run away and try to use alternate providers.

I called them again and told them my internet was not working and they told me the soonest they could be here was 2 weeks from the date I called. Then when the day they were supposed to be here came, I waited here all day and they didn't show up or call and when I called they said oh you are on the schedule but we can't make it and the soonest we can be there was 2 more days wait! This is the worst internet service ever. The staff is very unprofessional and they don't seem to care if i have service!! I have left messages for a manager to call me and they don't have the curtesy to call back. This is the third time they have said they would be here to fix my internet and not show up. They claim that the reason for the poor service is because a tower radio is broken. It has been broken for almost 2 yrs. Yes I did finally get a discount on my service but not because they offered but because I demanded. I live in the country and haven't had any other service to change to, but not anymore!! I do not recommend this company to anyone!!!

We finally got in touch with a rep who said it hadn't been out (even though we obviously knew it had). I spent 2 days calling and talking with techs who obviously have no more than a GED. I finally freaked out...I only have a masters degree and work for a Fortune 200 company in electronic media... Then he stopped trying to sell me a new router and apologize and surprisingly couldn't get a service signal even when the laptop was plugged into ethernet...yeah, it was the service just as I had said for 2 days...I went through 3 tech people before someone was able to get me back on line. Not back to the speed I was paying for but able to at least get back online. I was suppose to receive a credit on my bill. The bill came today and instead of a credit, they actually charged me for using their modem...something

Especially after I called him out on his education and experience after putting up with 2 hours of his bull and condescending remarks. Guess what TW, a lot of us know what we are talking about, have educations, and realize your "tech" people are idiots...I would recommend you train them but since your service is crap, you might want to fix that first. And you might not want to charge people for things your IT people have consumers try because your service flat out isn't working!!
I will be cancelling my service this evening and God help the person that receives my phone call and asks me why!!

No internet for 3 days. Then they screwed up the modem again and they want me to go 7 days without being able to get on Company VPN. Was on the phone w/ them for 3+ hours and they were at my house for over 4 hours. They operate technical service from Philippines and a) connection is awful and b) can't understand half of them c) always claim "NO MANAGER IS AVAILABLE"

but won't talk to me directly. First they thought it was ID 50587...can't read last digit either 0,5 or 3 ID 01691 ID 2506 ....still on hold 45 minutes later so not sure who else I will talk to. You will get totally JUNK service unless you pay for Business Class. So even if you run a 1 person business in your home and pay residential fee they don't care if you have 7 days lost work.

They did not show up. I called them at 8:04am (phone call for 9 minutes), because we had plans for later in the day. I was told the serviceman had called, but no one answered, and so the service appointment was cancelled.. I had given them our TimeWarner account phone number as our contact number. Did they call our main number? NO. I was told that they had called another number in the profile and that Dispatch would be called so they would come out later that day. They would not give me the number that was called because they said it was for "security" purposes.
It was a good thing that I called back around 9:30 (I was on this call for 32 minutes), to see if an appointment time had been set, so we could leave for our day off. I was told that Dispatch would not have called me back and that they could only make another appointment for the next day in late afternoon, which was not convenient; however, we need our internet service. This time I was also given the phone number that was supposedly called, and it was not a number that we have ever had (so much for "security" concerns). Do I believe that they tried to call? NO. We will have been without reliable internet for almost a week. We would have been without internet service for even longer had I not called, because evidently Dispatch would not have called me back. It would have been reasonable to have fit us in for a repair the day it was originally scheduled, but no, it was not their mistake, they said.

the inquiry call was promptly answered, -no long wait time. the call lasted longer than i wanted but I got all answers needed and a hook up date and they arrived promptly. My husband and I both had to take time off of work tho because they said one of us had to be there at all times. I wish we could sign a waiver once they are let in so we could leave and get back to our business. This has happened twice that I've had to use my pto time at work due to charter appointments.
I am pleased with the service however.
