Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Reviews

"We met with
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and Omri to work on a design for our master bathroom giving us a full remodel taking down walls, making closets bigger and turning our small old bathroom that was built in the 60's into a nice big master retreat! We met with them twice now. We are very impressed with their professionalism as well as the design and ideas they came up with for us. They were honest and candid and made us feel very comfortable to hire the team for our job. Truly appreciate the time they have taken with us and would highly recommend this company. We plan to start with them in April.

came to the house and we told him our ideas. He made some suggestions which we took. He then sent us an estimate for the labor along with copies of his insurance policies. Once we decided to use their services, a date was set. He estimated two weeks to complete the work and it was done in two weeks.
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and his helper started 2 days late, but worked from 6:30am to 5:30pm. To be done on time they also worked 1 1/2 Saturdays and also a few hours on Sunday.
They kept the mess contained and the finished product is beautiful. The workmanship appears to be first class. The final price was as estimated. We were very happy with the cabinet makers, plumbers and granite intallers he used and everything was well coordinated. We purchased the granite, the tile, plumbing and lighting fixtures.

"How did it go? It was a complete waste of time. We hired
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
after his estimate came in at about the same price as another estimate and because
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
has a real nice storefront you can see from the 101.
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
the owner gave us the estimate and informed us we would be working with one of his designers on the project. A 500 dollar fee was charged for this mandatory service but we felt good because the designer would lead us through the project. The designer turned out to be an engineer who just thought she was a designer. I work with engineers....they are the most non creative people on earth and it certainly was true in this case. It seemed the only words she knew were, IT CANNOT BE DONE. After 2 months working with her and not getting anywhere we were pretty much resigned to her suggestions which were nothing more than we had already had
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
estimate. No big changes at all. But after wasting our summer,
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and the designer upped the cost from 16000 dollars to more than 24000 dollars. I gave him a C because he gave us our 500 dollars back and also because we were able to locate another contractor on Angies list that was everything
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
was not. We are so happy that we just look at
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
now when we pass it on the 101 and laugh. My opinion, Do Not Waste Your Time.

"How did it go? It went smooth. It went fast. It went without haggling. It went without complaints from me, my wife, or from Avi...the owner of
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
. In short, we could not be happier in how our bathroom turned out and in our selection of contractor. Bless Angie's List for leading us to Avi....we'd have never known about him or his company without it. Now for our details. We live in a house in Westlake Village that has a wonderful view of the
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
Valley. It was custom built in 1970 in what I can only describe as Palm Springs Modern. Large floor to ceiling windows front the house and look out toward the swimming pool and large lawn area. The master bathroom is off the master bedroom on the ground floor. We purchased from the child of the original owner so I have the original plans and know the history somewhat. When the house was built they took advantage of the view but when furnishing/decorating the house they forgot all about the modern look of the house and went for a shabby chic look. The bathroom had a soffit over a ornate white double sink vanity that was only tall enough for elves. I'm told that was the mid-century style by some people, but I've toured homes all over Palm Springs and none are built like this. The vanity was topped in a solid slab of white marble and a extra large step-up
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
tub is also topped with matching marble slabs. The floor was carpeted with white wool carpet and the shower, which may have been roomy in 1970, was only about 4'x4' with walls that went to the ceiling and a conventional sliding shower door. We knew that if we were going to enjoy this house, the master bathroom had to be redone. Last summer (2013) we shopped around for contractors and received 2 bids. Both were in the same range. After choosing a contractor that has a nice storefront in
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
Park we began working with his "designer." We were excited at first because she said she would lead us through the process and help us pick out material, etc... She turned out to be less a designer and more of an engineer, but the only words in her vocabulary seemed to be, "it can't be done!" If we suggested a medicine cabinet, it couldn't be done. If we suggested a real wood vanity, it was going to increase the price significantly. If we wanted flat facing on the vanity with no
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
...it couldn't be done. We were getting frustrated and getting nowhere. Then, out of the blue, after 2 months of working with her, she informs us that the price to do the job had gone up from $16,500 to $24,000. All of this, and we really hadn't changed anything from our original estimate. We felt ripped off, even if it was only our time. We wanted to have the job completed by the end of summer...and this company had wasted our entire summer. That's when I began my
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
on Angie's List.
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
came with rave ratings and reviews, so I called Avi and asked him to give us an estimate. Avi showed up on time, as he has consistently done throughout our entire remodel. My wife and I were immediately drawn to him because he is what we all know as a happy person. He looks like a nice guy, no sneer, no frown, just smiles and all very sincere. If you're thinking that is because he is a salesman, you're thinking the same as me when we first met. But after 6 weeks of working with him and seeing him 4-5 times a week, that smile and warmth has never faded. Even the contractor that he brought in to install the glass shower enclosure commented to me, "I like working with your contractor (Avi). He is a happy man." Avi's estimate was completely in line with the other estimates I'd received so I knew that he'd thought it through. He also showed my wife and me all his insurance and workmen's comp papers and contractor's license. He promised that there would be no surprises, like upping the cost of the job by 70% and that he doesn't nickel and dime on minor changes like adding a fixture here or there. After he began the job he even suggested adding electrical outlets or upgrading the lighting, all at about 25% of the cost an electrician would have charged. And some things he did for free just because he wanted it to look better. We were working on a budget and told Avi we wanted to keep our old vanity and just reface it. He knew that we'd never be happy with a reface. The drawers were sticky and old, the cabinets felt flimsy and didn't hang right and it was short! He convinced us that for less than $1000 more we could get a brand new 8 foot custom made vanity made from maple and stained to match the wood in the rest of the house. It would have self closing drawers and slide outs in the cabinets. We wanted him to save the 8' x 2' slab of marble because it matched the marble on the
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
tub that we weren't touching. He was able to get it off in one piece and fit it to the new vanity....and it looks spectacular. He broke the two sinks getting it out but promptly went out and bought brand new ones at no charge and with no complaints. His crew installed the shower and it's so much more roomy than the old shower and the light pours in through the glass enclosure. Everything in our bathroom is perfect...the shower tile is marble with a 1" tile white marble strip and built in shower caddy that he suggested. The lights are all on dimmers and the bathroom is like something out of an architectural book. Avi and his crew always showed up on time or called if they were going to be late. They stayed with the job until completed and were clean and mindful of our pets. We would hire Avi again in a heartbeat...in fact we already have. He is redoing our stairs and stair rail. After that we may figure out something else for him to do....so if you can't reach him it's because we've got him and we might not let him go.

"I am remodeling my kitchen and
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
helped me so far with different items. I keep going back to him because he just is doing an outstanding job. He really delivers perfect solutions without overcharging me. He ensures that I completely understand what he is doing and will always talk with me about options. He is very proud of his work and he should be as nothing so far was not to my fullest satisfaction.

"I must say how impressed we were with their professionalism and the time frame that was promised to complete the project. They were in constant communication with us and on top of everything. We hired a general contractor because we didn't want to have to manage the project ourselves, and
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
really helped us out with that aspect. Our experience was great overall and we have recommended several people over to them. Since the project finished, we had a small problem with the plumbing work that was done but when we called the office, they sent someone out that same day. Their plumber figured out what the issue was and they took care of it, even though it was over a year since they finished the project for us and our warranty was already expired. That just comes to show what a great company this really is. I couldn't say it any better.

"Rani
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
, owner of Home Inception, was remarkable. He took the time to sit with me prior to the renovation, kept in touch with me during the renovation and was a professional through and through.
What I appreciated was the ability to make payments, as the project progressed. He did not expect the entire amount paid up front or at the end.
Rani had a great crew, who did not leave a mess when they completed each of their tasks.
He worked with me on the permits and on all the required paperwork needed for my condo association.
If necessary, Rani would come out on a Sunday to see how things were gonig in the kitchen.
My only complaint was about the granite product ... sections did not match with one another and one section had a big black streak; Mr.
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
then replaced the granite to make it right.
What I kept hearing throughout the renovation was, "I want you to like what we do and be happy with the finished product."
I am certainly thrilled with finished product and will gladly refer Home Inception to others.

"My master bath was very outdated, with a large tub that was rarely used and a small ugly shower. It had the typical builders special, wall-to-wall mirrors, ceramic tile counters (a pain to clean) & it needed a facelift. To the web I went looking for contractors and came across this great idea...a bath remodel in a week? These guys are efficient, they asked me to go to their website, choose my favorite project photos, fill out an extensive questionnaire, and the owner,
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and his designer
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
came to the house with all their samples, photos, and ideas. We spent an afternoon of designing, choosing cabinetry, flooring, tiles, fixtures etc. Because my project was larger than average and I requested a steam shower, they determined that my job would take almost 2 work weeks to accomplish...it was completed on time and their equipment, pods & trucks were removed the final day.
Thousand Oaks Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
was the crew foreman and the one I dealt with on any issues that came up. He was always prompt, pleasant and I had total confidence leaving my house to go to work. The crew worked very well together, they were meticulous in keeping the dust and debris at a minimum and my new bathroom came out beautifully. I could not be happier.
As in most remodels of any size, there were some small issues that needed to be corrected; they were addressed promptly and taken care of without argument or question.
The only negative in this experience, is that once I placed my order, it took about 6 weeks to collect all the items and get my remodel on the schedule. (I was impatient to get started.) However, for our small downstairs bath, we once hired separate plumbers, tile people etc. to install just a shower, with no cabinetry; this took 4 weeks to complete...and I still had to finish the sealing and painting myself. So I would say 6 weeks is not out of the norm. As I said, my new bath is a dream come true and without hesitation I would recommend this company to do the job.
