Sonora Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his team did extensive repair and painting (inside and out) for our rental home and primary residence. He wrote a detailed list of the work to be performed and his estimate was reasonable , with no surprise at the conclusion of the projects. On the first day of the job, he did a walk through to verify the work to be performed, and provided updates daily. On the last day, he did another walk through to see if any touch up's needed to be made or anything needed to be added. The great thing about
Sonora Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
is that he can perform general contracting work so you don't have to bring in other contractors. I highly recommend
Sonora Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his crew!

Went Great, showed up on time was very professional and went straight to work after showing him what I wanted done. Actually stayed a little over time to complete the work requested.
Only complaint which was really no big issue was they didn't sand down the plaster very well, as we had to go back over that and cleaning up after was good but not great.
I would hire again if needed.

We had an asbestos 'popcorn' ceiling removed. They had gotten things a bit too wet and there were lots of torn and damaged spots all over the ceiling in 3 rooms. In addition, the removal had exposed a large area where the ceiling had previously been damaged by water.
Sonora Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
repaired the damaged area--which involved removing the damaged portion and dealing with all the fallen insulation. He did an outstanding job. The nice, flat, ceilings were easy to paint and looked great. He was also EXTREMELY helpful with suggestions and advice about painting (which we were going to do ourselves). Highly recommended.

came to the job site for the estimate. I was a little surprised that he did not have a clipboard or any obvious way to take notes about the job. After looking around for a minute or so, I asked if he could give me an estimate about what it would cost and when they might be able to fit in this type of job. He stepped outside to make a phone call, then came back in and gave me a verbal price, and said they could fit it in as a "standby job" in the next week or so. I told him that would work but I wanted to have a written estimate. He told me that was no problem and asked for my email address (I had to text it to him since he didn't have anything to write with). He called back a couple days later on a cell phone with terrible reception, and told me something about the verbal price he gave me being too low, and that it would cost more. I couldn't really understand, but I told him to just email me the estimate. I waited a few days and heard nothing, so I texted him again and he replied back and said he would send it. It's been over two weeks and I haven't heard anything from anyone at
Sonora Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
. I suspect if this had been a larger job, perhaps I wouldn't have been forgotten. I called someone else and had the job done in less than a week for less than
Sonora Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
's verbal estimate. These guys have a lot of good Angies List reviews, so they probably do good work for a lot of people, but if you're one of those small jobs that you want to have done quickly, I'd recommend calling someone else.

House is 3,213 net sq ft, built in 1994 and NEVER repainted ... exterior trims & patio posts were down to wood! Contract estimated 3-5 days of work; entire job plus EXTRA work was completed in 4 days! Paint Crew arrived ON TIME each day working 8-11 hours thru high desert heat & humidity. Considerate, top-notch professionals, DETAIL ORIENTED, respectful of owner's daily questions/critiques of work being done, thorough clean-up of millions of paint chips at job completion! End of each workday, stored all tools/equip and rain gutters (until reinstalled) on side yard of house. Pricing exceptionally reasonable considering extent of ALL work required & performed by this Contractor!! Used a quality exterior paint with a 10-year guarantee. I WILL DEFINITELY BE USING "

came within a day after we first contacted him. He arrived at the house when he said. Closed off the area with visqueen and covered the hardwood floor with tarps. No dust was noticed outside of the containment area. Price was right and the work was excellent, blends with the surrounding textured ceiling. Will use him again if ever needed and will recommend to family and friends if they need this type of service.

we've used Damiel to finish drywall and/or repair plaster on two other projects, and once again he came to the rescue. Areas on two walls had multiple cut-outs where we'd done electrical or plumbing work. They are now beautifully patched, taped, and textured (orange peel). We changed a U-shaped kitchen into an L-shaped with island, which required extending the soffit in one area and removing it in another. Damiel installed new drywall on the extended piece, taping and texturing it in orange peel to match the adjacent soffit and walls. The removed soffit had run about 6 feet across the middle of the ceiling and the surrounding ceiling was brocade textured. More than one other drywall finisher we had come in for an estimate indicated that those types of ceilings are very hard to repair and any repair would likely be noticable. We were sure that Damiel could handle the job, however, as we'd seen his work on that type of ceiling in the same house as well as his plastering ability in another project. Needless to say, the ceiling looks superb and all we've done so far is prime it! Well done, D!

I previously hired Progress off an Angies list big deal for handyman services. I was so impressed with their work and work ethic that I hired them for more work. I own a 70 year old house that needs a lot of repairs. I had a plaster wall that was significantly damaged by the black glue the previous owner used to install wood paneling. Progress removed all the glue, then completely replastered the wall (multiple coats), made it level with the other walls (it was slightly set back with a gap on the edges on both sides), then replaced crown molding and primed it for me to paint.
They also repaired cracks in another plaster wall.
Both walls look perfect now. They worked fast, efficiently, and at a competitive cost. They respond to inquiries quickly, show up on time, and are very diligent and attentive to detail. I look forward to hiring them for my next big project (a large project to repair my old wood floors). I know that they will do an excellent job. I am very happy with their work.

Best Contractor Experience Ever
If there was a rating higher than an A+ I would give it.

and his team simply exceeded my expectations by a wide margin. I selected
Sonora Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
as a possible contractor because I liked the photos I saw of their work, and the reviews of
Sonora Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
himself were almost universally positive. I did talk to some larger contractors as well and got the sense that if I wasn't spending $15-20K on the job, they weren't really interested. One contractor spent about 3 minutes looking at my project, telling me, "no problem, this is standard and we do this all the time." We missed meeting with another contractor (our fault, not his) but we provided photographs on his request and he provided us a price accordingly. It ended up being the highest of the three.
We first contacted
Sonora Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
via email, and we later exchanged phone numbers and spoke the next day. We set a time for him to come out and look at my project. On the appointed day, he arrived on time. He was very polite and listened to all of our ideas. He also gave us some suggestions and pointed out a couple of things we had not thought of - all in all, I think the initial visit was around 40 minutes. He said the project would take two weeks, his contract was fixed price, and it was roughly 20% less than the other two contractors I evaluated. I awarded him the business.
It Begins
On day 1 of the project, he arrived on time with two of his crew, who promptly set up drop cloths all through the house to minimize dirt and disruption.
Sonora Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
would come in every couple of days to inspect, get supplies for the crew, and answer any questions I had along the way, but the two man crew performed the bulk of the work.
The guys were extremely nice and, frankly, worked their butts off. There was no idle time except for lunch breaks. Each night they finished they would gather the drop cloths, vacuum everything and leave, basically, zero presence except for the work itself and any materials. They didn't leave tools or anything, and always hauled away debris. These guys could give Good Housekeeping lessons in being neat. This was especially nice since one of us works from home full time and the other part-time. They were also very patient with our extremely curious and attention-getting cat, who we managed to keep out of their way as much as possible.
We were supplying all the finishing materials - tile, fixtures, etc -
Sonora Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
supplied the building materials. We made a couple of mistakes on our purchases (we bought some of the wrong things, like the wrong shower rough valve and we learned that faucets and sinks are not universally compatible) which slowed things down. When that happened, his crew worked longer hours to ensure they stayed on schedule, including coming in one Saturday to catch up - again, this was our fault, not theirs, but they took it in stride and adapted. They were also very accommodating when we decided to go ahead and supply a new toilet vs. re-installing the old one and readily accepted small changes along the way.
The tile we selected for both the shower, shower floor and bathroom floor was difficult to work with, and required some very precise cutting in some small spaces. The crew's attention to detail was outstanding and they took great pride in doing a beautiful job. I think they were as impressed as we were.
Toward the end of the project,
Sonora Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
also took pains to fix the bathroom door, which was sagging slightly, and put in a few finishing touches that I hadn't asked for that really dressed the whole thing up. He takes great pride in his work and it shows. He performed the final pieces of installation and finishing personally.
Sonora Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
did refer me to a third-party supplier for the glass shower door - it's a specialized product, apparently. The company he referred me to was also extremely professional, punctual and diligent about making sure questions were answered.
We are thrilled with the results. I have three other projects to do over the next year and I will hire
Sonora Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
for all of them. I cannot think of any reasonable complaint, nor can I see any reason not to hire
Sonora Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
in the future.
His company is not nearly as big as some of the other leading reviews, but he gave us a great deal of personal attention, was very patient with our questions, and did the best job possible to do. It is so rare to find such high quality and value in the same place, performed by some of the nicest (and talented) folks we've ever met.
