absolutely gorgeous! you should have seen them completely disassemble the hall door to squeak the big piece into the kitchen.
it took about a month, but it was worth the wait. we chose to not have a finish other than
oil.
provided us with
+citrus oil without the adverse chemical of commercial brands.
we have used the counters for 9 months now, and have many compliments in addition to our own delight.

arrived as scheduled, first to measure, and then a couple of weeks later to install the sliding shelves. I was a bit disappointed with the quality and appearance of the shelves. The manufacturer had used wood staples on all four sides of each shelf to attach the plastic covering it. This, of course, left easily seen staple holes in front of the sliding

Before
installed the series of pantry shelves, he was unable to calculate the distance that would be remaining between each shelf after it was installed. This resulted in the need to change the distance between several of the shelves because the resulting space was too small to hold the needed cans/goods. However,
was willing to make the needed changes. Two of the shelves shipped did not fit the existing stack-able space. It was necessary to reorder the shelves so I changed it to 3 shorter shelves in the space instead of the two shelves originally shipped. Because of this it was necessary to remove the existing dividing shelf. "Sliding Shelves" employees do not do any needed carpentry required other than to install the shelves.
came back on Monday to install the last 3 shelves allowing me time to have someone remove the existing shelf and time for me to repaint that space.
removed all of his materials and tools. Each time there was a light smattering of sawdust and wood splinters remaining so I vacuumed and scrubbed that up.
Overall I really appreciate having
pull out so I can see everything. I do remain disappointed in the visual appearance of the shelves.

I was really impressed with the quality of the shelves and the installation -- very sturdy, very smooth operation, flawless installation. The only downsides were the price (too high, even for the high quality) and not always responsive communication. Despite the few shortcomings, I do recommend the product and the installation contractor.

First of all the cabinetry fabricated in his shop is awesome. The finish is very professional. Once the items reach the install site it can get complicated. The installers are not able to reproduce the quality of the shop on-site and that diminishes the overall impression of the work delivered in some areas. If any finish is modified on-site, the patch work leaves a lot to be desired. The kitchen looks great, but it was a complex process with a few setbacks along the way.

is open to some flexibility, but when it comes to the ones that require financial concerns he can be hesitant to downright stand-offish. The stairway was tough and we still have a step that is higher than the rest-the best it can be and we'll just try not to trip on it each time we use the stairs. It did not seem that way before the project started-he insisted that it was that way and he's just dealing-with it too. The laundry room has tons of storage in it, which is great and better than it was in that regard. Perhaps the design could have allowed for a bit more access though. It is tight. If we have to have the washer or dryer serviced, it will require removal of the cabinets and countertop across from it for instance. He built-out for a dual fireplace between master bedroom and great room, where a see-through fireplace used to reside. The mantle he made for the master is nice. His shop made a beautiful desk for our hearth room and armoire for the fridge/freezer. We had granite of different grades installed in each room that we remodeled. The granite install in the master bathroom was very bad. We never did actually get the correct pieces cut that my wife selected.

actually switched companies due to that issue and the rest of the rooms went smoother with that aspect. Tough to know where you stand with
Selma Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
's allowances on the granite. Can't seem to get any invoices on that from him-? After having a fairly solid effort from
Selma Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
and his crew for months (about March 2013 to February 2014) we didn't see him back until late June. Guess he was busy. There was also a delay with some new doors that had developed cracks. The most concerning aspect of the project with
Selma Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
and his crew relates to maturity and professionalism. It ranged from super-loud metal band music during the tear-out periods to
Selma Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
's attitude on some days that made him seem to have different personalities. Whenever something was clearly his responsibility, he never would just tell us the truth and work it out with us. We had plenty of oversights and some collateral damages that we experienced during these many months. One consistent theme was that
Selma Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
would never just admit that he or his crew could have made a mistake. He would do everything in his power to deny that he had any responsibility at all and that it was impossible that he or his crew may have been involved. We know mistakes happen and an open, honest dialogue would have gone a long way toward our overall attitude with the completion of this lengthy and expensive project. The money was a big sticking-point. As the project went along it seemed that each item added-on was coming at a premium when compared to the starting numbers. He did his best to apply lots of pressures to get us to pay the amount he said we owed without negotiations or inquiries. He could be very pointed with his guilt trips when the amount paid was anything less than he expected to get. All on his terms. I would say that a lesson learned here was for us to have had
Selma Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
's company do our kitchen and leave it at that. I think this project got bigger and more complex than he anticipated. We are particular folks and expect a high standard of work. That doesn't always settle well with contractors.

I was impressed by the regular follow up to see if the job was going as planned. I was surprised how fast they got the job done, well at least it seemed fast to me, and I could tell they knew what they were doing. I noticed the workers used proper safety equipment and cleaned up all the mess before they considered the job done. The workers were courteous and accommodating to my needs and questions I had throughout the process. I would definitely recommend
Selma Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
to anyone wanting professional knowledge, and being able to NOT HAVE TO WORRY about anything! For me, THAT is worth its weight in gold! Most of all, I could see that this company knew what they were doing, and felt this company was honest in their dealings with any project they took on. In my case putting this roof on my home. I understand and see that this company has done everything from home remodels, to right-down-custom, in all their kitchen, bathroom and built in designs, so I am going to work on a few more ideas and call them back soon.

I chose my slabs somewhere else and had them sent to Sinan at Academy because he came highly recommended. He fabricated and installed my countertops and they are PERFECT!!! I appreciate his expertise and advice as I have only one tiny seam in the entire kitchen of numerous bends and curves. No one else wanted to do the install with just one tiny, 6 inch seam. I suppose it's all his new high tech equipment that allows him to template and fabricate so well, but either way the end results is impressive.

did a wonderful job on my kitchen remodel. She generously offered her time and ideas
before the job started. I went to Home Depot to get an idea of what their estimate would be, and went with

. Not
only was her price better, but her wall cabinets went all the way to the ceiling instead of ending a foot below.
Selma Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
also did custom work on some of the cabinets to solve the particular problems the small kitchen presented. The cabinets look great and are very well
made. The installation was done in one day and the countertop in another. It was a very easy-going process working with

, as she really cares about people and about doing a good job. She'll make sure the job is done right.

At the last minute, we were told we had to pick out new shower surround tile, new fireplace surround tile, and new carpet as they were no longer available. We picked out new material to keep construction moving so we could close our mortgage on time.
Selma Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
made no attempt to apologize or correct what was clearly a mistake on their side. The house was finished, we moved in. Since then we have noticed a lot of poor workmanship. Grout lines with variable thicknesses, grout lines not matching up, crooked tile in the shower recess, vertical wall tile on different planes, and no grout was sealed (apparently an extra we were never offered). I was told by
Selma Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
these things should have been noticed on final walk through and he wouldn't fix anything unless I paid for it. This is all within the warranty period of a year. Since then, the builder has agreed to cover the highly visible fireplace surround. Everything else is on us. So to summarize, we bought a new house, paid extra for carpet and tile we didn't want and was poorly installed, told we should have caught the mistakes before we moved in, and that they would correct any mistake but we would have to pay for it, again.

picked up the granite in

I thought Thursday was quick but doing the installation a day earlier was amazing! I had heard that granite work quite often holds up a job but certainly not in this case! Everything looks great and fits good. The only negative was an exposed

I could not be happier with the work
Selma Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
did for me. They completed the project when they said they would and built the hutch unit exactly as I had envisioned. The cabinetry was built in their shop and then put together at my house. The installation only took about two hours. They matched the stain color of the previously installed base cabinets spot on. Looking at the completed unit I don't think you can tell that the upper and lower portions where not built as one at the same time. The custom made speaker cloth center door fronts also turned out just how I wanted.
