"They even charged $10 for ONE aspirin is how crazy they are. That price is on my bill I am not making it up. My case doctor let my legs blow up with all the saline" solution they poured into me and it took ten days to go down, I was scared. I was never asked and didn't approve any of the service charges charged by the private operator, Health Management Associates, piled and heaped onto my bill. They are now merged into Community Health Systems but I bet their over-billing policy is the same. If at all possible, take your urgent care needs to a clinic in Key West, NOT to this money-

"The dr. appointment went about average, however their billing is atrocious! I've been double charged, and they're taking their sweet time to rectify the" situation. You see, when you
they have you fill out a credit card authorization form so that they can collect payment automatically in the event that you don't pay; which is normal. However, what they don't tell you is that if you don't pay immediately they'll charge that card without even making a phone call or sending a second invoice. I paid my invoice within the 1st week I received it through my online bill pay service (which can take about a week because an actual check is being sent via USPS) and they still charged my credit card; WHAT A JOKE! In fact, my check cleared a full day before they charged my credit card. My advice, if you're desperate, they're available (although I'd personally NEVER go there again); but don't even try to pay your bill. They'll just take it off of whatever card you left on file anyways. And if you don't take my advice, say hello to providing needless documents from both of your banks to prove what you and they already know, YOU'VE BEEN DOUBLE CHARGED!!!! Give your customers an opportunity to pay the way that they want to pay, all you're doing is creating needless hassle for your customers!

Emergency medicine is a field of medicine in which doctors treat individuals who require immediate attention for acute injuries or illnesses, the main goal of which being to prevent death and disability.

Angie's Answers

?
I second the original question (still unanswered). Speaking as someone who logged in today to try to find an attorney, I see this category as one that's exactly what I have my Angie's List membership for:

1. It's important that I find a good one
2. I'm not an expert enough to know myself who is a good one
3. The industry is full of advertisements and misinformation
4. I wish I knew what experiences other people have had

?
I don't care about lawns--I planted mine in clover and don't have to mow it. When I do need to mow I use a rotary Fiskars mower, which is great--or a scythe. That's right--a scythe (the European type, which is smaller, and it's very good exercise). Gas-powered mowers, chemical fertilizers and weed killers--all nasty stuff that gets into everyone's air, soil, and water. I'm sure my neighbor doesn't like my wildflowers, semi-wild pockets of fruit bushes, and unmown areas and yes, dandelions (I have 10 acres) but that's too bad. It's better habitat for wildlife, especially the pollinators on which our food supply depends. I think this obsession with the Great American Lawn is a waste of time and resources. Plant some food instead.

?
I'm not sure Angie et. al. want you to have a complete answer to this question. By re-subscribing at the Indiana State Fair in 2012, I think I paid $20.00 per year for a multi- year subscription. Maybe even less. At the other extreme--and I hope my memory isn't faulty about this--I think the price, for my area, for ONE year was an outrageous $70.00. And they debited me automatically without warning. I had to opt out of that automatic charge. I like Angie's List, but if some of the companies they monitor behaved the way they do in this respect, they'd be on some sort of Pages of Unhappiness. I'll be interested to see if this comment gets published or censored out of existence.

You have to put your self in the shoes of a business that is in business to turn a profit of some sort. All businesses have different overhead which in turn decides what their bottom line would be on their services. I personally would not go with an unlicensed professional for this type of install. You are messing with gas, venting issues, electrical wiring{electric water heater} and updated code issues such as a drain pan and tempature and relief drain lines for heaters that currently do not have them. I do agree that there are some companies that are way out of line for their installs but most of these companies are the really big companies that have very high overheads  I would assume. Tank type water heaters have changed over the last several years and with these safety changes come bigger prices. The price of steel thanks to China is skyrocketing and tank type water heaters are made of steel. Most wholesale plumbing supply companies cannot match what the big box stores are selling at retail to consumers. I happen to think from research that heaters such as Rheem, Bradford White and AOSmith who have been in business forever make a better product than what you can buy in the big box outlets. You also have to take in consideration the location of the water heater that is being replaced. Is it in the house, basement, garage or attic. Most 40 and 50 gallon water heaters that are purchased in a plumbing wholesale store in Texas cost between 300-340 for a 6 year warranty heater with 6 year on parts and tank. Speaking of warranty. Most big box companies will take a least 24 hours to a week to get your warranty problem taken care of. Most reputable plumbing companies will give same day service if they installed the heater.

So lets break down a typical install at cost to a licensed plumber in Texas

Heater: $315, water shut off $6.50, water flex lines or unions to code $20, gas flex line and cut off to code $12, misc fittings $15, Total $368.50 Lets add a 35% profit which is some what low  for a business $129, Total 497.50

This doesnt  include permits, pan and drain or any venting issues. The vent must go from the heater to the outside of roof using double wall vent.

Cost of permit on average $60

Most plumbing companies allow for 3 hours of time for a water heater. This includes picking the new one up. Delivering out to house. Draining and removing old water heater. Hauling off old heater. Installing new heater up to code. Going down to city and pulling permit.

Average Labor charges for heater installs $400

That would make this install run without extras on any code issues $957.50

I just had a 50 gallon gas water heater installed in my house for $1200 but I needed a pan installed. I used a licensed plumber.

?

That's very difficult to answer without seeing the house. As one poster said, the prep is the most important part. On newer homes that don't have a lot of peeling paint, the prep can be very minimal even as low as a couple or a few hundred dollars for the prep labor.

On a 100 year old home with 12 coats of peeling paint on it, then the prep costs can be very high and can easily exceed 50% of the job's labor cost.

A 2100 sq ft two story home could easily cost $1000 just for the labor to prep for the paint job. That number could climb too. Throw in lots of caullking  or window glazing, and you could be talking a couple or a few hundred dollars more for labor.

Painting that home with one coat of paint and a different color on the trim could run roughly $1000 or more just for labor. Add a second coat  and that could cost close to another $1000 for labor.

For paint, you may need 20 gallons of paint. You can pay from $30-$70 for a gallon of good quality exterior paint. The manufacturer of the paint should be specified in any painting contract. Otherwise, the contractor could bid at a Sherwin-Williams $60 per gallon paint and then paint the house with $35 Valspar and pocket the difference. $25 dollars per gallon times 20 gallons? That's a pretty penny too.

That was the long answer to your question. The short answer is $2000 to $4000 and up, depending upon the amount of prep, the number of coats, the amount of trim, and the paint used.

?
Todd said it best.

An itemized list / cost breakdown, more often than not is used against the contractor when it is shared with other builders who will then beat it.

Good contractors use good people, and good people cost more.  Just the cost of having the appropriate insurance / bond can be the difference between winning a job or losing it ot a 'lower bid'.

It is the rule of three; there is Good, Cheap and Fast.  You can have any two:  Good and Cheap, won't be Fast; Good and Fast, won't be Cheap;  Cheap and Fast, won't be Good!

When comparing bids, it isn't the cheapest or the 'nicest' person you should select.   You should understand why there is a large price difference (it shows there are gaps in your design program or what you have asked for specifically, which means there may be arguments later).  If most of the bids are in line, and one is way high or way low,  you want to know why before dismissing or selecting them.

A price-only decision almost always costs more in the long run.

Good luck!

The nurse ask questions and check your BP etc. The nurse leaves the room and Dr.
Santa Barbara Er Doctors Provider Name Locked
comes into the office. He talks with you and tells you what he thinks is wrong or what needs to be done, e.g., x-
Santa Barbara Er Doctors Provider Name Locked
or further tests. He leaves the office, checks his information and if necessary calls in a RX to the pharmacy. He comes back intro the room or a nurse, and you will receive instructions e.g., what you will be taking and how long, and if the condition got severe, what to do and where to go. Then the patient leaves the room.
The information sheet is really helpful because some of the time the patient does not remember everything that was said and what Dr.

They were fantastic. There was no wait, and I got right in. I had to go twice because I had gone in too soon and they weren’t able to detect the flu the first time. But they were really good. They called me a couple of times after to follow up to see how I was doing, and they were the ones who recommended I come back if I didn’t start feeling better after the first visit. I had never been tested for the flu in an emergency care center, which was very surprising. What I like about this urgent care, is we’re in a small town without family practitioners nearby, but they do provide family care as well, which is very nice.

I get excellent service from
Santa Barbara Er Doctors Provider Name Locked
. They do everything! They are conveniently located to where I live. I am able to make choices in terms of my physician. I am able to sit down and talk with my physician about my care and I get good explanations about the care I received. The billing and administration has been very good and I’ve come in here for emergencies and they were able to take care of me with no problem. Basically, all around, they have been good!

Poor experience. Walked through the door 2 hrs ago and still waiting to be seen. This is hardly an urgent care. I will avoid this place and consider driving a little further to a different practice next time.

From start to finish, staff at the
Santa Barbara Er Doctors Provider Name Locked
E.R. were great.
Because I am new to the area, I reviewed the YELP comments on the 3 area emergency rooms before making my decision on where to go. The reviews were mixed. I picked
Santa Barbara Er Doctors Provider Name Locked
, ultimately, because they've been a health care provider in the
Santa Barbara Er Doctors Provider Name Locked
area for decades and I was afraid Renown, the likely other choice, might be too much "corporate medicine" for my liking. Please understand, however, that I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Renown. Renown is the Level 1 Trauma Center here in
Santa Barbara Er Doctors Provider Name Locked
so they can't be all that bad.
I was checked in at 3 p.m. on a Monday by a woman named
Santa Barbara Er Doctors Provider Name Locked
.
Santa Barbara Er Doctors Provider Name Locked
saw me again when I left the ER that day and I found her to be professional, quick, compassionate, sensitive, and funny. She put me at ease right away.
I was almost immediately seen by
Santa Barbara Er Doctors Provider Name Locked
, a P.A. The wait couldn't have been more than 5 - 10 minutes. He quickly diagnosed the problem with my knee (I had brought 2 MRI reports with me) and after he heard about the treatment I had already undergone over the last two years said I needed a total knee replacement. I agreed. He explained every option the E.R. Dept. had for me but we both ultimately agreed that what was best was to directly refer me to the on-call orthopedic physician.
Santa Barbara Er Doctors Provider Name Locked
's attitude was casual, while remaining professional, and he was collaborative, which I really appreciated also. He also had a nurse,
Santa Barbara Er Doctors Provider Name Locked
, give me an intramuscular shot of Dilaudid (?), which calmed the knee down. This showed me he didn't think I was a drug-seeker and that he was compassionate enough to try and give me a few hours of relief from the pain.
Ultimately,
Santa Barbara Er Doctors Provider Name Locked
's referral to a physician from the
Santa Barbara Er Doctors Provider Name Locked
Orthopedic Clinic was the clincher that allowed me quick access to the ROC. Within 3 days of my visit to
Santa Barbara Er Doctors Provider Name Locked
E.R., I was in an orthopedist's office. Way to go,
Santa Barbara Er Doctors Provider Name Locked
!
And within 13 days of my visit to ROC, I will be in surgery. It's a gift from heaven to be able to rectify my knee problem this quickly.

Went to emergency room for small puncture wound in arm with copious (spurting) bleeding. I saw the triage nurse quite quickly after arriving. After that it took many hours to see even an LPN. Bleeding from the wound under the skin caused extreme pain and finally burst on to me and all over the floor. Pain medicine never arrived. Wound finally stitched after many hours. Unprofessional remarks among staff were overheard about patients.

The experience was good at first because the staff was friendly and we did not have to wait long. A staff member asked her what the problem was and she gave her the details. They went over a list of medicines and she told the employee that she was allergic to Toradol. This was a drug she had taken in the past and it gave her anxiety and severe leg cramps. The employee left the room and within minutes a Nurse came in with the news that the Dr. Said that if she can't take Toradol there is nothing he can do. I told her we aren't there for pain medicine we want her evaluated by a Doctor. The nurse told me that she wasn't trying to run us off and I said it seems like it. She suggested that we go to the emergency room and I said " we are here to see a Doctor and if after his assessment he tells us to go we will go. She requested his presents and when the Doctor entered the room he told us that they don't have a CT scanner and they can't do anything. I asked him to examine her and he said "why?, it will waste my time". He said why don't you just go to the ER because we can't do much here. I told him we are trying to avoid an emergency room visit if it were something
Santa Barbara Er Doctors Provider Name Locked
as a sinus infection. This Doctor never looked her over. He never had her vitals taken or examined her Eye,nose, throat, or ears. He never said it is imperative that you go to the ER. He just seem not to give a Rip.
