When I first met with
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
she was right on time, listened and asked a lot of questions. She really wanted to hear all about My dog Sparkles and what was going on at home and in public. She was very positive and definitely very knowledgeable about dogs and behaviors. She then met Sparkles did some observing and came up with a training plan and gave a homework assignment. She also worked with Sparkles Veterinarian regarding some medication that enhance our training time. The next few weeks she slowly progressed Sparkles from being stuck at home to being out in the
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
again.
Before the training Sparkles was so aggressive we couldn't have her out when people came to the house. She was barking and lunging after anyone that walked by or was out in their own yards as we walked by. She snapped at the neighbors and wouldn't let anyone in our yard. She was barking and attacking the fence when the neighbor's dog was out.
Now we are able to have people in our home and have her out with us. She is back in the
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
enjoying her time on the leash. She is friendly with people that are walking and ignores people in their own yards. Walking her has become a treat and not a full contact drag in the park.

We did the 5 week plan and
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
trained me and my wife, ok and our Akita also. All off-leash commands and also he trained him not to go past the front door without us giving the command. We can now leave the front door open, walk away and he will not leave.
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
is a very good company and I highly recommend them.

After only two training sessions, we asked to cancel the training because of medical problems my wife was having.
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
refused and referred me to the fine print in their contract. "The full training fee is deemed earned upon delivery of the equipment". Once they deliver the approx. $300 dollars worth of equipment, you are in their trap, and you have paid them approx $1,000 for services whether they provide those services or not !! I offered to pay them for the two free in home sessions, but they refused and felt they had earned the $1,000 I had paid them up front. BEWARE

San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
was extremely accessible, flexible, and helpful in making arrangements for lessons with our dogs. We were in the process of moving, and he agreed to help us with a few lessons at the old place and a couple at the new place.
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
also had my 2 daughters participate in the lessons for which they were home. We have 3 dogs: male cavalier, age 9, female mini goldendoodle, age 4 and a male chihuahua/
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
mix age 1. We were having some bullying problems, and general disciplinary concerns with the 'pack mentality'. As a result of his 5 sessions, the dogs are much calmer and we have learned numerous effective techniques for dealing with food issues, furniture issues, overall excitability and general discipline. We plan on continuing to implement his training techniques for continued, long-term success.
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
was a pleasure to work with, and the dogs responded to him very well from the moment he arrived. I highly recommend him and the

program!

After our home visit with
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
we signed our dog up for the novice obedience classes.

We were very impressed with the facility and the owner
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
along with his staff.

When we attended the orientation night, we were told what the classes would entail.
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
answered questions about any concerns that people had concerning their dogs. Then he showed us what we would be learning during the classes with his dogs who are extremely obedient. I remember thinking, "no way" what have we done?

Class 1 seemed overwhelming trying to listen to instruction being given by
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
and dogs barking. But somehow it all came together. He has a way of telling and showing you what to do and then carefully watching and making corrections where needed.

San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
and the rest of the staff are friendly and also correct you when either you or your dog are not doing something the right way.

We have learnt how to sit and stay when told, heel when walking (which is so much better than stopping every 5 seconds to
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
),

San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
down when told along with several other commands that I never thought our dog would do. Our dog no longer jumps up at visitors or people out walking.

By no means do we have the perfect dog but we have come a long way in a few short weeks and really owe that to

When I contacted to inquire about training
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
was very responsive and really pursued my business. However once the meet and
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
was completed and I purchased a "puppy package" it was very difficult to schedule a training time, We would schedule a time and then she would cancel at the last minute, or arrive very late. The package consisted of 5+ training sessions with the promise she would stick with us until the puppy was trained.
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
did work our puppy on 2 occasions and seemed to make some progress, however cancelation, after cancelation and rushing home with my preschooler and infant to meet with a trainer that did not arrive was too much and we agreed to terminate our relationship. A refund of $120 was agreed upon. However after months of phone, texting and email I finally received a return of $60. I tried again for several more months but never received any additional funds.

Ramellah is firm and yet very responsive to the owner's sensibilities. She pushed us to try new things, but not to a point that was too hard or fast for us to accept. The training and tools she suggested have transformed our relationship with the dog. I had to recognize that the dog needed a lot more exercise than he was getting from running around in the back yard. So I instituted two long walks a day--at first, reluctantly, and now I look forward to them too. We also got him a treadmill. Ramellah taught him how to use it...I am not sure I could have done that. But now he loves it and frequently asks to get on it. Our problems with his destruction of things, and his incessant barking in the back yard are largely over. The new approach requires vigilance and consistency on our part, and has been very rewarding. I highly recommend Ramellah.

You can instantly tell that
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
loves dogs and is extremely comfortable around them. She is great at making owners feel comfortable too! Her techniques are NOT a quick fix - you're not going to have 1 or 2 sessions and magically have a perfect dog.
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
gives you the tools to communicate and form a trusting relationship with your pet, and then it's up to you to do the work on a daily basis and be consistent. It's been about 2 months since our last training session, and Star is doing much better. She can now be within about 10 feet of another dog without flipping out....something that was impossible for her before. She is my running
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
, and she used to freak out and pull me over if we even saw another dog; now we can see a dog across the street and she will look but keep moving and she no longer pulls on her leash. There have been a couple of times when we even passed within a few feet of another dog on the sidewalk and she didn't react, although she's not consistent with this yet. Progress has been slow, but steady, and looking back, it's impressive how far Star has come!
I've also been using
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
's techniques to teach Star some tricks, and she now knows "speak," "play dead," and "happy dance" (where she jumps around in a circle on command) and we are working on "wave hello/goodbye."
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
's instruction also helped me form a closer bond with my dog, and Star is more easily focused and seems to be a calmer and happier pooch overall.
The $100/hour price tag is a bit daunting, but I shopped around and it's actually a great deal compared to what a lot of other trainers are charging for private sessions. And how much you get out of that $100 is up to you - once
San Marcos Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
is gone, if you are dedicated and put in the work every day, you WILL see results. I couldn't be happier and look forward to seeing even more progress with my dog as we continue to work together.
