Business Description: In Hearth’s ten years as a San Francisco remodeling company, our innovative design solutions, quality craftsmanship, and expedient project completion have led to repeated successful projects with return business. We are proud that our renovations are helping to preserve this city’s unique architectural heritage for future generations. We utilize the most up-to-date technologies and green building strategies to renovate historic homes and bring them up to the strictest earthquake and building codes. Our team excels at projects of all sizes, from small home improvements to ground-up remodels of residential and commercial properties. We will replace a window, build a new Ipé deck, update your electrical panel, or fix a plumbing leak. Yet we can also build your dream home with a room addition, a new kitchen or bathroom, a light well fill-in, or a garage for your car. Hearth understands that building a home is more than materials and labor. Thin walls separate neighbors in our city and during construction we take utmost care not to disturb those who live close to you. Also, this city protects its neighborhoods through a rigorous building permitting process. Over the years we have developed a close relationship with the Building Department and its inspectors through cooperation and the best construction practices. This expedites a smooth permit process. Peter Sheridan is our CEO and general contractor. He has run previous successful construction companies and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College and a Masters degree in Fine Art from the San Francisco Art Institute. He brings his higher education, years of tried field experience, tenacious personal motivation, passion for current technologies, materials and trends in design, budgeting acumen, and ability to coalesce the right talent, to bring our clients’ dreams to fruition. Our most recent remodels have been of high-end, single-family homes on Lake Street, Pacific Heights, and in West Clay Park, take a look at our portfolio to see our work and let the photos inspire ideas for your project.
