Business Description: Amanda Flasck, CMT, CST is certified to practice Esalen massage through the Esalen Institute of Big Sur, CA. Her practice includes deep tissue, chair, pregnancy and infant massage, and hot stone. She is also certified to practice craniosacral therapy through the McKinnon Institute of Oakland, CA; craniosacral therapy is a modality based in osteopathy characterized by gentle holds and seeks to restore balance to the central nervous system. Amanda has worked with teen mothers in Oakland, CA teaching them the benefit of therapeutic touch with their children through the Touch Health organization. Amanda has two office locations for East Bay residents-- her Wanut Creek office is easily accessible from highway 24 and 680. On weekends, Amanda's Montclair office within the Montclair Wellness Center is available by appointment and is conveniently located off of highway 13. Amanda believes that everyone should benefit from the therapeutic effects of massage and her pricing reflects this principle-- every new client receives 20% off their first session, and cost saving packages are available for frequent clients. Working for herself allows for lower hourly rates than you would find at an expensive day spa while assuring her clients of a quality massage (an aspect which sometimes suffers at bargain-basement membership clubs hiring students with less experience). Check out www.amandaflasck.massagetherapy.com in order to take advantage of specials! Upon personal reference only, Amanda will consider house-calls. For this service, there is an additional set up and travel fee, to be determined by travel-distance. The connection between the mind and the body is key to Amanda's practice. Book a session now to experience the healing benefit of massage and craniosacral therapy.
