Hvac reviews in Reseda

My air conditioning went out last night so I looked up a few providers with great reviews to call first thing in the morning. There's a heat wave going on right now, so I was bracing myself for having to wait a long time to get someone out.
Reseda HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
& Beyond opened the earliest and said they could squeeze me in today because they were in the area. Came to my door within two hours and very quickly diagnosed the problem, a blown fuse. Including replacing the fuse and waiting for me to write him a check, he was in my house for less than 15 minutes.
He was courteous and professional and even answered my DIYer questions with patience and clarity. They offered a Buy It Now coupon for $29 diagnosis/30-min of labor. They arrived at my house so quickly they said the system might now process it quickly enough, so they just honored that price when they wrote up the invoice.

(the owner and technician who came to my house) also offered more advice on

things I can do to prevent this from happening again.
I couldn't be happier with this experience, start to finish.

Wow, what a great experience. Starting with
Reseda HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
who answered the phone. It was on a Friday and every other company was too busy and couldn't even schedule a visit until after the weekend.
Reseda HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
checked her books and
Reseda HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was available to come by in a couple hours. In the mean time, she instructed me on a couple things I could try. If any of them worked, I was to call and cancel, otherwise
Reseda HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
would come by. None worked, so I waited for
Reseda HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
. Half way through his appointment window he called to say he was running late. He gave me an exact time he would be there and I was able to run some errands in the mean time. I showed up a few minutes after he did and he already checked to see what was wrong. I gave him the okay to fix it and he was done in about 15 minutes. It cost less than any AC repair I've ever had done, and he didn't try to sell me freon. (He's the first to not do that.)

Reseda HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very personable, easygoing and knowledgable. He seemed genuinely interested and concerned with our needs, and offered a referral to another service provider I happened to mention in conversation. He worked quickly, and not only was he thorough, he went above and beyond to answer questions and offer advice.

Here's the lengthy version: I bought my townhouse about 5 years ago and the central air unit didn't
work AT ALL. It wouldn't even turn on. I called
Reseda HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
because they
had great reviews on yelp and they arrived for the appointment on time,
they were friendly, etc. etc. After looking at the unit they told me
there was no freon in it. I was relieved that that the issue was only
going to cost me a couple hundred dollars to fix so I had them go ahead
and fill it up. Over the next couple of days, I realized that my house
was not cooling down. The air conditioning would kick on, but it would
just constantly run for days and days and would only shave off about 10
degrees. In 100+ degree weather, I was still sweating in my home with
the air on, which clearly meant there was still an issue. When I called
Reseda HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
again, they came right out, tested the air blowing out of the
vent, which was cool, and told me that the unit I had was not large
enough for my townhouse. It's about 1,100 sf so it's not huge. They told
me that I would need to get a SECOND unit and zone the house to have
one unit for the upstairs and one unit for the downstairs. They said the
whole thing was going to cost about 2k. I really couldn't afford that
at the time since I just purchased the house (it was a bit of a fixer
upper), so fast forward a few years and I'm totally over suffering
through this heat. I called
Reseda HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
again and said that I was ready
to do this! He came out to look at it and this time told me that the
condenser was broken and the entire unit should be replaced because it
was old anyway (the condenser wasn't much cheaper than a whole new unit)
so now he quoted me $3,300. I told him I would think about it and call
him the next day. When we talked the following day I told him that I was
concerned about replacing the unit because what if I pay all this money
to get it fixed and it's STILL not big enough to cool my house down
(mind you, that's what the issue was a couple years ago). He told me
that he doesn't remember what he said a couple years ago, but the
condenser is the issue now. I didn't really like or appreciate the way
he was talking to me (he was getting a little snippy because i wanted
him to guarantee that my place would cool down after i pay 3k+, which he
wouldn't do) so I decided to get a second opinion. I called Air Supply
Inc (which I HIGHLY recommend and will give them a rave review right
after this). They charge $89 for a diagnostic, which I didn't like, but
said "ok". When they came out I didn't tell them ANYTHING about my
previous experience because I wanted to hear what they had to say. They
crawled through the attic to look at the unit from the inside and
crawled on the roof to look at it from the outside. They came back
saying that it needed freon. WHAT?!? At this point I tell them the whole
story with the freon, condenser, zoning, yadda yadda, to which they
reply with a few different options as far as some of the inner mechanics
that may be stopping it from blowing cold air as forcefully as maybe it
should be. But in his honest, professional opinion, it was the freon.
He said that if you don't fill it up right, the pressure wont be
correct, which would make the unit not work properly. He also said that
there was more than likely a leak somewhere. Well he found the leak in
the valve (the protective cap was off = hello red flag!) and filled it
with freon correctly. While he was on the roof still fixing it, i could
feel the cold air starting to come in - FOR THE FIRST TIME! Oh I was so
ready to do cartwheels! When he came in, I asked him flat out - "is
there ANYTHING wrong with the condenser?" and he told me "no". It's a
little dirty from being on the roof, which is normal, but it works just
fine. He said that the

guys were probably just being VERY
dishonest. I'm relieved that $344 later, my unit is finally working.

This was through an Angie special offer. There was a slight delay in hearing back from them to schedule. On the day/time they were to arrive, there was a small communication issue, which was resolved in short order. Everything was dealt with via phone and they were very courteus and appeared from what I can tell to have done good, professional work for a low cost--and on a very hot day for Spring! Thanks.

arrived on time and completed the inspections. He provided an honest appraisal of the system (installed in 1999) and the maintenance that the other HVAC company had been doing. He said we did need a drain

They came out as scheduled and gave a quick assessment of the problem (air conditioner sounded like an airplane taking off). Blower motor was going out and needed to be replaced. I received 3 quotes for this job so had an idea what I was looking at when they quoted price. I was being sold a bunch of unnecessary stuff from another vendor, up to saying system had to be replaced (it is only 10 years old) at a cost of $3000. The part I needed had to be order and I was told they could be back in a week. The service man was also nice enough to say some roof tiles had been blown off and I should probably have roof looked at before the winter. Part came in as scheduled and work was completed timely. I am on their schedule for an annual check up to keep things running smoothly.

service unit in March, was told at that time it was so-so. I decided to wait till it quit, it did. Called and

came out and tried to fix but determined it was dead. Was give a cost for replacement.

returned the next day and removed old unit, installed, and charged new unit. Checked all the vents for possible blockage. Everything was removed and clean upon completion of work. Service call charge was waived since work was done, also 10% discount with Angies list coupon. Will I use again and recommend, YES.

Yurik was punctual and professionally assessed the work required to fix the problem. My compressor fan's electric motor was going bad and it needed replaced. After replacing the fan's motor we also found that the compressor was going off and came back on more often than it should have.
Reseda HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
told me that this can cause the compressor to wear out and from there a series of checks (freon pressure, valves, etc) happened. I am very satisfied with the work he did and, for sure, I will contract him again for future work.
