Landscaping reviews in Rancho Cucamonga

Rich and his team are amazing - I truly wish that there was something higher than an "A" to give this company. This is the 2nd time we have used

& Irrigation. The first time was for a big backyard landscape project. When we started encountering water leak issues at our new property and didn't know where to turn our first and only call was to this this team.
Rich responded immediately and spent the entire day investigating the issue to determine plan of action. Valves and other things were replaced, lots of hard, hot work was done. The current irrigation system had been patched together over the years by the previous owner so this was no easy task. At the end of the day we do believe that the slow leak that had been forcing us into an incredibly high tier of water bills had been eliminated.
I cannot recommend Rich

and his team highly enough. He is honest, ethical and will always do anything possible to work with you to complete your project taking your budgetary restrictions into mind. When you enter into projects like this it is always so hard to know that the person you are contracting with is trustful and has your back. While price is always important, the trust that you will receive quality work and not be taken advantage of is so important. I will never take my outdoor projects to any other contractor.

In addition to the main work which was done very professionally and was fine, I also asked for some small repairs. They came, did a few of them, said they would be back and never showed. I called, sent several emails, and was always told someone would be calling me and setting up a time to come back and take care of the little projects I needed to have done. After 3 months of sending emails, getting empty promises and being ignored, I have given up. If they had just told me at the outset that the other jobs were too small and they were not interested, I would have understood and gone elsewhere. What I dislike is being strung along when obviously they had no intention of doing the work. I give them an "A" for the work they did, but a "D" for their lack of follow-through.

Overall we were unhappy with the experience. I hate giving someone such bad reviews and actually thought about giving lower in some areas, but I didn't want to be completely rude. I believe
Rancho Cucamonga Landscapers Provider Name Locked
had the best of intentions however he really needs to work on a few areas. First with regards to work quality. We had some planters that had cannas in them (which are bulbs) and we decided we wanted them removed. Well, they were removed but not entirely. The workers didn't dig out all the bulbs and we've had them all grow right back. Luckily we like them after all so its not a huge issue, but he should make sure that they remove plants completely, not just the surface. We had sprinklers put in and overall those aren't bad. However we had discussed using a drip systems in the planters and then he changed it to regular sprinklers. Still do their job but spray our walls a bit more then we would have liked. The sprinklers in the grass are good but even with adjustment don't hit all spots. Between my husband and I and my father, we know a good amount about plants. We asked him to give us a list of plants he intended on using and we made adjustments to it based on what we know we like and don't like and added some we'd like to see. Ultimately, he didn't end up using but maybe one of the plants we added to the list. Anytime we would email him about something that we wanted changed or anything mildly important (emailing so we could have it in writing), we would never hear back and when asked he'd say he didn't receive the email. Ok....? Anytime we'd question him over something (not accusingly, just to get clarity) he'd get defensive. In a nutshell: For the amount of money spent, I expected much more.

Provider was first contacted almost 2 years ago and promptly responded but due to a family emergency I was unable to follow-thru; he was contacted again and cordially and quickly responded to request for service.Appointment for initial meeting was on time and correspondence via email was answered satisfactorily; the response time was usually the next day but no more than 2-3 day wait. Provider made changes as requested in design and upon completion provided detailed explanation to meet desired results. At this point I am now looking for a provider to bring the plan to fruition

I originally used
Rancho Cucamonga Landscapers Provider Name Locked
company in 2011 to put 4 drains in at the side of my house. At that time he recommended that I extend an adjacent retaining wall but I wasn't able to afford the additional work at that time. So now it was in my budget and here I am. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to discuss all the different options. The workers showed up on time and cleaned up everything before they left. The extension blends in very well with the original wall.

The finished project looked great, we were pleased with how it looked/s, but there were many discussions along the way that took place in order for the finished product to look like the "Artists Impression" (in other words graphics that were agreed upon at the start) The foreman and all the workers were great, always

to listen, and where possible make the necessary/requested changes. The Owner was a great guy personally, but business wise was not pleasant to deal with, mainly because on a daily basis, we would find him waiting for us, wanting a check or cash for the days work. He used a lot of sub contractors and had to pay them then and there. So, virtually no money came out of his own pocket. That said though, he certainly knew his stuff, and was always there to check that the job was going well. We suggested that instead of badgering the client every day for money, do a weekly tally on a Friday and let us write him one check. That never happened, and to be fair, is probably the main reason that we would not use him again.

The retaining wall did not follow the shape in the graphic, so this moved the pool closer to the house than originally planned. But the reasons given were justified. The pool equipment ended up being put down the side of the house because they built the retaining wall and did not leave space/opening to be able to build in the pool pump area. Hence a longer piping run which, when you intend to heat your pool, is not a good thing ! And when originally discussed was the point that they raised "Have the pool equipment close to the pool because it is beneficial especially when heating it up"!! 3 months after the project was over, the gates that their sub contractor supplied were already rusting!! We tried calling, send e-mails & texts ......... no response. I had to go around and tighten a lot of the sprinkler heads that they had installed coz they were leaking. To this day, the spa drains as soon as the pool pump switches off. I have cleaned the one non-return valve but I think that I am going to have to change out the 2" fixed in place n/r valve.
I feel bad writing all this down, because like I said, he is a really nice guy, and he was on top of his guys to make sure that everything worked out well. Everyone who comes over makes comment about how great the backyard looks, and that is because of their efforts. But because of the chasing them to clean up after themselves at the end of the day, and the daily writing of checks, I doubt that we would use him again.

The initial meeting was great! After a scheduling snafu, we rescheduled and
Rancho Cucamonga Landscapers Provider Name Locked
came out and looked at our yard, listened to our ideas, and took some initial measurements. We thought we was great! He even puts the whole yard into a CAD program before he designs it!
He came back a short time later and took additional measurements. A week after the measurements were all done, he emailed us a quote and said that he also had some sketches he wanted to give us in person. The quote was detailed, but not itemized. It fell into the same price range as one other quote we had received.
Well, the holidays happened and no forward progress was made. Once the new year had started, we called
Rancho Cucamonga Landscapers Provider Name Locked
multiple times over the course of a few days and got no response from him. We were looking forward to getting started with the project so his lack of response was frustrating. Finally, when we got in touch with him, he said he'd been really busy, which was understandable. Because we couldn't connect, he ended up leaving the plans in our mailbox. This was a fine arrangement, but without an verbal or written, detailed explanation of his ideas, the CAD sketches and quote alone left a bit to be desired, and because it was so hard to get a hold of him, I think we'll choose a different landscaping company for our yard.

This project was a major commitment for my wife and I. We spent considerable time selecting the contractor for the project. We interviewed approximately eight contractors and visited numerous construction sites.
Rancho Cucamonga Landscapers Provider Name Locked
's references checked out with very positive reviews and we liked what we saw of his work. He was the only contractor that we interviewed who identified the existing problems of our backyard landscape and came up with a plan that met all of our needs.

and his brother

steered us away from ideas that would not have been worth the expenditure and as the project developed they came up with recommended changes to the design that added beauty and function. The workers were professional and neat and once work was begun kept to a regular schedule. The project took approximately sixty days from start to finish. Communication with

was very good. We were always able to reach him and he visited the project nearly every day. We were very pleased to have

as our hardscape foreman and we found him both knowledgable and creative. For personal reasons, we are not comfortable giving the total cost of the project. I will say that we paid for high quality work and we feel that this is exactly what we received.

I contracted him the first time to clear my back yard and he did a great job. I then hired him for some tree service too. He usually comes on Tuesday, but since it rained he came Wednesday. They are very trustworthy. You can leave them to do what they are suppose to do. I have a huge back yard.
- Myriam W.

The supervisor came out and gave an estimate, said they would be back to do the work as soon as the rain stopped, They came and did the work in one day. After they did the work and a couple of days later I discovered another problem that I did not know about nor did they. The came the next day and fixed that.
