"Moreover, when being fit with the orthotics, I asked questions which was not received well by staff. It appeared my daughters orthotics over corrected her feet and made her supinate" too much. While she never liked the orthotics, I made her wear them, until I noticed her new running shoes wear indeed indicated supination-- and when I showed this to Dr
-- he said she needed new shoes and did not offer a medical discussion, even though I tried to engage him for an explanation about the irregular shoe wear and her orthotics. Then we went to a reputable running shoe store and got fit for running shoes with more support (fitted without use of the orthotics and with use of a treadmill and video analysis) and in my opinion this fit was much better than the extremely expensive orthotics which we threw away. My daughter does not use orthotic today and is still an avid runner without any foot issues-- while her choice of running shoes and level of support is key. My son wore his hard orthotics made by Dr.
for much longer, and indeed he needs support due to flat feet, but after some time, he also stopped wearing his orthotic-- more so when he become more dynamically athletic. The orthotics were too hard for him without much cushioning and required removing the inner soles of his athletic shoes making them very uncomfortable. My daughter can get away with a good fitting running shoe, but my son needs orthotics. My son is now more comfortable with a rigid yet flexible orthotic and even over the counter styles can work in some more supportive shoes. I would not return to Dr
--and would suggest others check reviews before investing in very expensive orthotics for your children's feet. Your time investigated in vetting the specialist you pick is well worth it because once you buy a pair of orthotics you feel obligated to use them for a long time and may also believe it is a good thing to force your kids to use them. Not all orthotic custom styles work for everyone, so even custom can be limited to a specialist preferences, manufacturer and

Podiatry reviews in Porterville

The owner and staff are highly qualified. The owner of the business was a physical therapist for several years and knows body mechanics. For the first time my daughter was fitted with shoes that relieve her bone pain.

He is really good for following through also, being that they were two different surgeries. Then I fell and broke my toe. This was about eight weeks ago. So I had to start all over again. So he is still seeing me because now he is following through. The bunions are okay. The bunion surgery went quite well. But now, he is seeing me for the broken toe. He is just marvelous. His office staff is so efficient and he is so personable. He explains things so well and he backs up and follows through. I can't say enough good about him. In fact he was the one who saw my hip and was real concerned about it. He wanted me to call him back after I went to the emergency room and let him know what they've done. I called his receptionist. This all occurred about 10 in the morning and it was about 2 in the afternoon before I called back and she says, "Oh we've been all wondering how you're doing and what happened." Again, his office staff has been with him for a long time because he is just such a great guy to work for.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR !!! He has singlehandedly ruined both of my feet! To date I've had three reconstructions and three other surgeries on my right foot as well as a raging infection that I still don't know if I'll

part of my foot . He did a joint destruction on both feet that you don't do unless the patient will never walk again. I've had a vascular necrosis where the bone broke in my big toe and died because of improper surgery and also he refused to listen to me when I told him something was wrong. This is all my right foot. My left foot has a rare complication per my current doctor due to his inadequacies and needs reconstruction who knows what'll become of that. I'm going on my fourth year of basically not walking and I'm angry . Please run away

I have seen Doctor Hechter for a number of issues in recent years, and can only say that she truly walks on water. My first visit was several years ago where after previously visiting nine different podiatrists who were unable to find the cause for my severe foot pain and total inability to walk, it took her less than five minutes. I had bilateral neuroma ( tumors ). I hadn't been able to walk for 15 years. The

Clinic twice misdiagnosed the problem and my highly rated primary care physian told me during the entire time to grin and bear it. She is without a doubt the most competent doctor of any specialty I have ever met. She also referred me to a physical therapist that solved a problem that numerous others couldn't over many years ( again including the

Anyone complaining about this doctor…beware. She is a gemstone among doctors.I give her my highest recommendation.

Doctor was recommended by my wife. I found Dr.

to be very knowledgeable and approachable. Diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. She took time to explain the condition and went over all treatment options. I took a conservative approach and followed her recommendations on walking differently and I have been pain free.

Had to have toenail removed due to old injuries to feet in a MVA in 2000. Doctor was excellent in her skills, as well as her bedside manner. She set up post-op visit for 1 week, and provided pain medication prescription, along with printed instructions and supplies to redress toe.
