We spent the first 16 weeks of our son's life in the Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care Unit. The staff was exceptional, and we believe they are truely responsible for our son being alive today. I have to admit though that the politics of the management left us a little dissapointed., The nurses and staff that dealt with our son directly were great, but we felt the management of that department did not always consider the patients and their family's needs beyond the medical level.
Having a child in the hospital for 16 weeks, and later 8 more weeks for his second operation, is very stressfull, and while the nursing staff acted accordingly, the management didn't seem to give that aspect of our hospital stay much consideration.
Pleases keep in mind that we would use that hospital again and again for the great care they gave our son, but the managements "Bedside Manor" needs improvement.

The staff was amazing. As you can imagine, this was an extremely difficult time for our family, but the doctors and nurses were great. they were honest and realistic and no one gave us false hope. we stayed at the hospital for 2 weeks and followed up closely with their outpatient burn unit. My daughter received wonderful care. we did have some issues with insurance. Part of her medical bills were not covered because

was out of network. However, we applied for charity care and were approved! I would highly recommend this hospital.

Staff knowledgeable and cares about helping the child. Nurses are very caring, compassionate, and gentle with the children. Hospital offers discount food coupons for delivered meals to your room and in room beds so that parents never have to leave their child's bedside.

Overall, our experience there was very positive. The paperwork went smoothly, the waiting area was very nice and cheerful, and all the prep work went very smoothly. My only complaint, which was probably due to a misunderstanding on our part, was that they told us that the doctor would come in to the waiting area to tell us how the surgery went. Instead, someone came and took us to a "consultation room." We thought something was wrong because we were brought back to the room rather than the doctor simply coming out to the waiting room, but everything was fine.

children's hospital was wonderful from the start at the emergency room, throughout the stay with the friendly nurses and doctors. Even the food wasn't bad. We wouldn't go to any other hospital in the area.

We spent over 3 weeks at Children's as they tried to figure out the cause of our son's illness. I was very impressed with all of the doctor's and staff as they kept us informed about their progress. I thought the quality of care was excellent and the new rooms were very nice.

If you have kids, Women and Children hospital is quicker than going to
Palo Alto Children Hospitals Provider Name Locked
. They specialize in kids. Even though this is an emergency room, I still would rate the punctuality an A, because they are pretty fast..

We were seen fairly quickly. The ER doctor we saw was very thorough--she did blood work, sent us for an x-

, and when the results were inconclusive, ordered an ultra sound exam. We did have somewhat of a long wait, but not for the doctor, the wait was for the x-

technicians, and ultra sound technicians. Everyone was very kind and friendly. My only concern is that when we were finally released, it was 1:00am and it was not fun to have to walk out to the parking lot alone, in that part of town, as a mom with a young son (though everything was fine!)

is both a magical (and sad) place. They have the most wonderful doctors who know how to interact with kids. There are also lots of bright happy things to keep kids that are really sick "happy". This is the place you want to be if your child is sick.

They deliver babies here. Their level of professionalism is excellent. I like their bedside manner and facilities. I also like their explanation of technical medical terms. They provide good patient care.
