Stayed in price, but more importantly job was scheduled to take four weeks and ended up 3 weeks 5 days.
and his crews were on time every day. Demolition was fast and clean, haul away was unbelievable. Craftsmanship was superb; especially kitchen, bathroom and hardwood floors.
was a constant help in making decisions when changes were required. Project came right in budget.

excellent work.
Project: a wooden enclosure 6 ft high with 2 entrances attached to the rear of the house, required by the city to hide 6 large trash containers..
the enclosure was constructed on an already existing concrete slab which sloped downward.
Oceanside Carpenters Provider Name Locked
adjusted the gate for an easy swing to accommodate the slabs incline. he had to adjust the setting of the gate's hinges to balance the added weight caused by the slope. modifications were made throughout the project. the end product was very attractive and added value to my property. quality work. I would highly recommend

The crew started on Day one and completed all tasks on Day seven. Various teams of professionals came and went in an orderly process with optimum efficiency. They came early and worked continuously. The final walk through yielded zero touch ups. All crew members were efficient, professional and a pleasure to have in our home. Along the way, adjustments and additions to the project were made; they fit easily into the flow of the project.

provided the intial proposal for the project and returned at the conclusion for the final inspection.

refinished some teak cabinet doors on my boat. These were very tricky, as the veneer is thin and delicate, and they needed the old varnish sanded off. I was worried that sanding might damage the veneer, but no problem. The doors look like new, and teak veneer is intact!

He also solved a unique problem for me at the
Oceanside Carpenters Provider Name Locked
. I needed to figure out a way to stow my kayaks. He designed and built a very nice solution, using pressure treated wood, to survive the salty environment.

Happy with the results of these jobs, I also had him replace a window at my house.

Hire this guy only if you want the work done on time, at a reasonable price!

This company and the owner Jeanete are terrible. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I hired them to demo a built in entertainment center and build a new one that would better accommodate our big screen TV as well as hang it and install the components. Jeanete came out and seemed really nice and acted like she cared about us and our home but that was just good acting to get our money. We came up with a very specific design plan and she made it seem like it was no problem at all to do. She bragged about how they do so much high end work so we didn't think it would be any problems. She gave us a 4 day completion time and got started. On day 3 we saw that the design did not match what we discussed as well as her husbands drywall and texture was terrible. you could see the seams and it was lumpy every where they touched. The texture was peeling and it was going the opposite way of the existing texture on the same wall. I called Jeanete the same night and discussed it with her and she said it would be fixed the next day. This is all before the TV and components were installed. During this call she asked if I could be home to help her husband hang the TV. My reply was what am I paying you for if I'm going to be doing work. Unfortunately I was not home the next when her husband came to finish. When I got home the TV was hung and the electronics guy was installing the components. Nothing had been corrected and there were still a lot of things not finished. On top of that her husband

was getting ready to leave. My living was dirty and my garage which they made a work shop without my permission was a mess. They had also left the demo debris in front of my house. I pointed out to
Oceanside Carpenters Provider Name Locked
the terrible job he had done and he acted as if nothing was wrong. As I pressed the issue he said something like it was dark and he couldn't see. So then he proceeded to smear drywall mud all over the lumpy areas and said he'd be back to fix it tomorrow. Before I can call Jeanete I get an email asking for the balance like the job is done. I called her to complain and she says she says she cant out until Monday to look at it and its Friday. Monday comes and it gets worse. Jeanete comes in my home and is rude an disrespectful because I complain about
Oceanside Carpenters Provider Name Locked
's terrible work. She tells the work is fine and our complaints aren't factual. Then tries and talk us into accepting the design she did not what we agreed to. When we would not budge she stormed storms out of our house saying she will be back Wednesday with another contractor to fix the mistakes. Wednesday comes and she comes by with another contractor and he looks at it for 5 minutes and they just leave. Jeanete then emails later that day and says he will be back Friday to fix everything. Friday he comes and removes the TV. With a closer examination he discovers that the only way to fix the problems is to start from scratch. Which meant demo 80% over it and start over. He calls Jeanete. Jeanete calls me again rude and tries to convince me to accept this terrible job so she want have to start over. She gets even more rude and tells her guy to leave. I get an email basically telling me when I can fit into her schedule. Monday at 8am. Now I'm 2 weeks in on a 4 day job with at the minimum another week to complete if they would just get started. Plus my living room is not usable. Monday comes its 10 no call no show. I finally said I'm done with them. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I understand a mistake but it becomes not right when you don't accept responsibility and make it right. I gave them every opportunity to do so but they chose not to.

Oceanside Carpenters Provider Name Locked
, owner of
Oceanside Carpenters Provider Name Locked
, was contracted on January 25th to build two pieces of custom furniture for our bathroom renovation with a very specific deadline of Tuesday, February 7th.

While the craftsmanship of the completed furniture was excellent, the delivery and completion was unacceptably late. The first piece (bathroom sink/vanity) was delivered on Friday February 10th and the second piece (tall cabinet) was delivered and installed on Tuesday, February 21st.

We had paid 50% of the balance due on upon signing ($1,450.00) and paid the remaining balance, less $50.00, when the first piece of furniture (vanity) was delivered on 2/10/2012.

On the date the second piece of furniture was delivered and installed, we refused to pay the final $50.00 balance due to the not meeting our deadlines. The owner and craftsman,
Oceanside Carpenters Provider Name Locked
, then reacted unprofessionally and disturbingly and re-entered our house, unauthorized, and spitefully removed ONE drawer from the cabinet he had just installed uttering he was not going to get screwed again.

While there was another whole episode of miscommunication about the installation of a silestone countertop on our vanity that, in the end, required us to use another contractor to professionally cut the stone at an additional cost of 350.00, our main contention and reason for not remitting the final 50.00 payment was for all the inconvenience caused by the delays in receiving our furniture.

In our opinion,
Oceanside Carpenters Provider Name Locked
is an unprofessional and unreliable business with an owner of questionable character. Any business person should be able to acknowledge their deadline shortfalls and, in this case, should certainly have better judgment than to re-enter a customer’s house uninvited and spitefully ruin a finished product that had been reasonably paid for (total paid $2,850.00 of $2,900.00 contracted.)

Great. This was a long project due to other contractors work schedule.

Kliensmith and his crew worked with us on scheduling and they were very patient and careing. We could not really visualize the finished product.
Oceanside Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and his crew really exceeded our expectations, we are compleatly satisified with the outcome. Our home no longer looks like a "tract home' on the interior.

We will recommend Kliensmith Stair & Trim to anyone considering staircase work.
