"This is the second time I've used this service. He is still on the ball and wish all service providers I dealt with were like him. He responded very quickly" to my message and very conveniently scheduled my appointment. he arrived on time and prepared to do his job. He was, as I remember previously, professional, courteous, and thorough. He inspected the dryer and vent, cleaned both and then went up on the roof to check the exhaust port. I had recently had a new roof installed and the roofer had installed a screen over the one way flap. This caused a build up of lint from the dryer which caused two things. 1. The dryer to not work as efficiently at drying clothes meaning more time or additional cycles. 2. A potential fire hazard with the 2 inch pad of lint that had accumulated. Excellent work and I without reservation recommend him and will continue to use him into the foreseeable future!

"They were very punctual and friendly. He showed me what he was going to do and explained the process to me and gave lots of tips. At the end of service, he did" a walk-through with me to make sure I was pleased with everything and suggested little fixes for pre-existing conditions. He made sure I was completely happy with everything before I left. I couldn't be more pleased with the way things went!

Yes Jupiter. It depends on the severity of the situation, is the mold encapsulated in the insulation. If yes, than replace [insulation] it with new. Is it on the casing of the heater? If yes, clean it with a mold neutralizing metal cleaner. It's not a matter of finding something or someone to clean or address the existing mold. It's a matter of finding a contractor to rectify what is causing the mold grow. It's coming from excessive moisture in the air-handler unit. I can say with 100% surety you’re dealing with poor airflow and/or incorrect equipment sizing! Either issue will cause excessive icing of the evaporator coil, which leads to excessive condensate water in the system. The condensate will eventually overflow the drain pan leaving stagnant water in the air-handler housing, which leads to mold growth. I would not let any contractor do any kind of temporary repair, add any device like a UV light or air-cleaning product until the aforementioned is corrected. I talk a lot about this in my videos and on my website. It is the result of improper system design from unqualified contractors. There is a reason why some guys cost more than others, and this is one reason why!

If the ducts are venting through a window I'm assuming the duct work is all easily accessible.  Lowe's and Home Depot sell a cleaning kit that uses an electric drill to spin the brush as it goes through the ductwork.  I've found it to work quite well and you can do it yourself.  It may take a few passes the first time to get everything out if it has been a while since it was last cleaned.  Just make sure you get all of the loose lint out after running the brush through from both ends and you're good to go.  Please note that if the line is not hard but rather a flex duct line you can easily puncture a whole in it with this kit and will do better to clean it by hand.

There are varying opinions on the type of cleaning to have done on your air ducts.  My opinion is that it varies based on the type of duct work you have.  If you have solid material (typically metal) ducting you can have use a company that uses a brush to scrape the system clean.  If you have flexible plastic or foil ducts the solvent cleaners are generally a safer bet since the brushes often tear holes in the soft material and/or pull joints loose.  It really depends on what type on ducting you have.  You're ducts will collect all kinds of dirt, skin cells and allergens over time so if you see dicoloration around your vents it is probably time to get them checked and cleaned.

Also, don't stop at the duct work.  Don't forget your annual system check up by a licensed HVAC technician.  They'll make sure your system is running at peak performance, keeping it running efficiently and with as little impact as possible on your electric bill.  You can often save the cost of the annual tune up in the electricity cost saved.  If you have a natural gas system a bi-annual check and cleaning of the HVAC unit may be advisable to save electricity and gas.

if you have exhausted all of your choices I would call and put a complain in with the BBB then go to the DA and put a complain with them.  Then get a good lawyer and sue them for all you can get.

the answers in this on this page are all correct but you are using a bandaide to to cure the infection have a trust hvac tech open your system to see where the dust is coming from you more than likely have an impacted coil that need to acid wash to bring it back to oringinal anything left from the fire is still inbeded in that coil. just remember after that job to keep your filters clean change once a month in the summer and every two months in the winter.

Dryer Vent Cleaning reviews in Oakdale

Scheduling appointment for cleaning vent was quick and easy. Workers actually were running ahead of schedule. Gave us a call to see if that would be okay with us -- which was great...! Were polite and professional. Work was done quickly and the left my house as clean as it was before the job was done.
We mentioned that we had never liked having the dryer vent on the roof. They said that relocating dryer vents was one of the services that the company provided. Went down in our crawlspace to see if it would work to relocate through that area. Gave us a couple recommendations and an estimate to do the job.
Came out the following week and completed the job. Excellent work. Cost: $300.

They are prompt, very detailed in explaining things, very responsive, very customer oriented, and a pleasure to work with so far.

Everything turned out fine. They did a great job. They made my dryer work better. They came on time for the appointment and they were friendly.

Two gentlemen from the company arrived at my door equipment in hand. They covered their shoes before entering to keep any outside debris from my floors. I have a longer vent so it has a fan in the middle. They knew what to do to effectively clean both sides of the vent. Replaced duct tape on joints with heat tape. Also cleaned out actual dryer vent. Checked outside to see if I had the correct cover on the vent, which I didn't. They will be returning tomorrow to install a bird cover over the outside of the vent to obviously keep birds from building nests there. I was able to watch them work and they did indeed get a good deal of lint out of the dryer and vent. I have owned my home for just under two years and am going through the process of cleaning and updating all my mechanicals. I was very pleased with

performance. They were happy to answer all my questions and were quite personable.

I went online to Angies list and found the vendor. I called them and they responded the same day. They scheduled the appt, showed up on time and fixed the problem. What I liked is that the service technician completely cleaned up after himeself. There was dryer lint all over. I'm not sure of the date of service.

I called
Oakdale Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
as their website said they did dryer vent cleaning. A part of the company called Duct City did the work. The technician was scheduled for the 23rd but had to reschedule for the next day. He arrived at the designated time. He inspected the area to be serviced and said that the flexible portion of the vent was in sections and that it should be one piece. I asked him if he could replace it and he said yes. He proceeded to take apart the vent. He hooked a vacuum like machine to the outside of the vent and proceeded to "Clean" it. He then came inside and used a rotating wire apparatus to clean the inside. He then reconnected everything. He turned on the dryer for about 30 seconds to make sure it was working. Since everything appeared to be ok I signed off on the repair. The first time I tried to use the dryer the flexible vent part came apart after 15 min. My husband was able to make a temporary repair with packaging tape. The second time I tried to use the machine, the rigid metal part of the vent came apart and started spewing forth lint. I called the company to complain and was told the supervisor would call me back. After 24 hours, I still have not heard from them. I have since called another co. to solve the problem.

Called for appt and was able to get one for the following day. Technician called to say he would arrive in 45 min and got here on time. We surveyed the damage done to the vent -- improperly retaped after servicing. I told him I would like a metal vent instead of the accordian one. He was able to do that so that it is very neat looking and it not resting on any water pipes. After reconnecting the vent he checked for air flow on the outside of the vent. No air was coming through so he snaked it and found part of a bird's nest and lint that the previous company had missed. After he finished warm air was once again coming out of the vent, He then stabilized the dryer which was wobbling from having been moved

The owner got back to me quickly and we emailed several times, she answered all my questions quickly and clearly.
The technician called me early in the morning because he had freed up early, but was fine when I couldn't move the appointment earlier. He showed up about 10 minutes early for the scheduled appointment and we got started right away.
I had ordered the
Oakdale Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
cleaning service at $198, although I was pretty sure that the vent needed to be replaced, not cleaned. The dryer venting was in a back area of our home, not easy to see...
Not only did the connection between the dryer and the wall need replaced, but the whole length of the vent needed to be replaced. Old, sub code, twisting around, etc.
The technician called his manager, they applied the $198 to replacing the whole venting structure -- probably 20 feet+ total, and charged me $183 more. The technician also made sure that the connection from the dryer to the wall allowed us to still open the doors to the laundry area, and gave me instructions on how to unhook it should anyone need to get back there again.
I am very impressed with the quality of the service and professionalism.
