"They've been working on our cars since 2006, and we've always had good experiences. I really trust their advice, they always do quality work, and their" prices are reasonable considering the quality of the service they provide.

-James J.

"They put in a transmission two years ago with a 12 month warranty. It lasted for 13 months. They said the warranty was up. The same thing happened after a year." They didn't know when I bought it. They said I should find the bill. They should have in on the computer. They did nothing to levitate the matter after the first time. They didn't respond in a positive way. They are gambling with their warranties. The product doesn't last more than 12 months.

Transmission Service reviews in Nice

I called and spoke to
Nice Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
on the phone and he quoted me the approximate price for a used ac pump plus the belts that would be necessary with the installation. He then quoted me a labor price and gave me an approximate total. He stated that if I could drop the car off for a few hours he would work it in as quickly as he could. Approximately 5 hours after I dropped my car off he called to let me know it was ready and that my bill was $300.00. My car has driven great since.

I called

and spoke with the person who turned out to be the owner. He is the son of the former owner. Wish I could member his name.

I think. I gave him the details of the symptoms leading up to what we perceived as a transmission failure. I asked him pointed questions on what procedures would come standard with the swap out and he patiently explained his establishments level of quality commitment. They would put the vehicle up on the lift and confirm the diagnosis. Then they would call me back within 24 hours. I explained that my car was sitting in my driveway with no AAA. They gave me a complimentary tow service . I cannot confirm that this is their standard procedure but I truly did appreciate it. So I receive their phone call and come to find out that the axle had shattered and that my transmission was not the actual issue . Since we had been having 2nd gear clutch pack slippage issues on the automatic tranny for about 2 years we elected to have the business continue with the transmission replacement. They replaced the half shaft basically at parts cost. My wife and I sincerely appreciated that a business would be honest and offer us the option of not proceeding with the transmission replacement. Integrity .
3 business days after that phone call we are told the car is ready. We come down. He shows us the transmission that was pulled.
3 year warranty, one hundred thousand miles and we paid 3300 including taxes out the door for the tranny and torque converter replacement along with the passenger side cv axle and a busted motor mount. Cooler was flushed as is their policy. Rate was 88 per hour at time of service and 8 hours went into service overall. I never felt a lack of confidence with the staff or with their competence. We returned like a week or so afterwards and they did a spot check for any seepage etc.
This company exceeded expectations as to punctuality and cost. The warranty itself speaks volumes .And again their honesty and integrity. Worthy of Angie's List!
PS they do have a website however Angie's list said that the link I pasted into the first page of this write up had issues.

We had taken our work vehicle to another transmission shop, lured by the free towing offer. They then told us that it would cost $450 to open up the transmission just to provide us an estimate. We paid them $70 for the tow and promptly took our vehicle to

, based on his reviews here.
The owner took our vehicle for a test drive and told us that the gears were fine but something was wrong so that you had to shift manually. He fixed the problem and told us that it should be fine but of course the transmission was old and would eventually need to be overhauled.
These guys understood that we wanted to have a minimum spend option as well as a full option
In the end, we took the short term fix just to get back on the road but should anything happen we will definitely take it back to these guys.

The old truck is back on the road and runs like new.

was great to deal with and gave me several options for repair or replacement. No one likes to pay for big repairs but I think they were honest people to deal with and the price was fair. I had looked at their website and was impressed with the great customer comments.

My 1995 Honda Civic has 179,000 on it and Binh at
Nice Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
keeps it in top notch running condition. This time I thought something might have been acting up so I brought it in just to be sure. I don't like to take chances on a 20 year old vehicle. Binh looked it over and took it for a test drive and assured me that it had no problems at this time. He wasn't going to charge me anything BUT I insisted that my peace of mind was worth an hour of his time to me. So he charged me for 1 hour, $50. A much better labor rate than most other shops charge. I have been taking my car to him for years now. He always fixes it on time and sometimes for less than the quoted estimate. He is an expert mechanic. I would recommend him to anyone with car troubles.

The vehicle had to be towed into the repair shop. I did not have an appointment, but the shop fit my vehicle into their schedule and I was able to pick it up the next day. The engine and entire underbody was coated with leaking transmission fluid where the line broke off from the radiator. They completed the repairs and completely cleaned the engine and frame. They also did not perform any unnecessary repairs to inflate the bill. Pricing for the parts and labor performed was excellent.
- Robert C.

He's a little pricey but he does real good work. They always do the job right and they care about you. They got to know me on a personal level. They are really good people.
- Vincent M.

They're good, reliable, convenient, honest and fair. They are honest with you about needed services. Scheduling is easy. At night, they offer a key drop box.
