"Mr. Di Fatta responded promptly to my online request, he visited the job site personally to discuss the scope of the work, and he provided an estimate on the spot." Communications were excellent throughout the entire process. Since the job included multiple tasks, I was notified in advance when the work on each would start, and Mr. Di Fatta arrived with his team at the beginning of each task. The teams did excellent work on both tasks, and they did a great job cleaning up and leaving things the way they found it. Overall, I had a very good experience and I am very pleased with the outcome.

"No complaints at all!
, the owner, was very clear about the entire process and was accompanied by his son and a cousin. Each of them" had responsibility for different parts of the process, and, based on my limited knowledge of concrete repair/masonry, each handled his job with skill and care. They were very personable and respectful, answered my questions along the way, and even took a few minutes to give my dog some
'.... she was most curious about all the activity!! I guess I won't know the effectiveness of their work until we've been through another harsh winter or two, but I know that the floor would have continued to disintegrate had they not done the repair work. The floor looks good (beautifully smoothed and tapered), and they did a great job cleaning up as they went along.

Masonry exteriors

Generally considered the highest quality choice for home exteriors, brick and stone are also almost maintenance free and will last as long as the house, though some repairs may be needed from time to time.

If your home has clay brick, this cracking could simply be caused by moisture in the environment, says Pruett. (Photo courtesy of Brick Doctor Corp)

An indication of serious moisture being trapped behind masonry is efflorescence, which appears as a white powder or stain, says Rantanen. (Photo Courtesy of Jamison Home Services, LLC)

Even if your home looks safe from the outside, there are invisible hazards like moisture, radon and carbon monoxide you need to be on the lookout for.

Detergent soaking and low-pressure pressure washing (to avoid etching or swirling the surface) about $0.50-1.00/SF - ditto for the sealing. Minimum charge probably about $150. This is something you can easily do yourself if you are just a bit yard handy - rent a pressure washer (or use this job as excuse to buy one) - 1000-1500 psi one is all you want for this, a gallon of concrete/driveway washing detergent, a large paint brush for the sealer, and as much brick/stone/concrete sealer as you need for your area - could probably do yourself for about $0.50/SF. View a few online videos on how to pressure wash without leaving swirl or etch marks in brick/concrete.

The owner

Natalini takes pride in his work and it shows: he and his coworker did an excellent job repointing our chimney, caulking its flashing, and reconstructing its crown. There are no more leaks around the flashing even during the hardest rains, and the chimney looks great.

I was really pleased with the quality of the work and how fast everything went. I emailed
Loyalton Masons Provider Name Locked
a photo and he was able to give me an estimate via email, which was a big time saver. He always responded very quickly and once we signed the contract, they were out to take a look in a matter of days. Unfortunately we were out of town, but as soon as we returned, he was able to start the work. I appreciated that he told us ahead of time when he would be here so that we could move our cars accordingly and not have to worry about whether we could get out and to work in the morning. The end result looks fantastic! I only wish we had contacted him sooner!

The chimney had lost a brick over the winter, and needed to be pointed. After an initial estimate to point the chimney,
Loyalton Masons Provider Name Locked
recommended replacing the brick given the weakness of the overall structure. The recommendation increased the cost of the work, but it was a good recommendation as the chimney was shown to be in worse shape than initially thought. The team working on the chimney were very careful with the patio area, saved as many bricks as they could to reuse, and made the results match the existing brickwork very well. The cleanup was well done, and the chimney looks great and should last a long time.
The only challenge was just getting on the schedule for work, as they are very popular and busy. But I would also say, well worth it.

We met a few times before anything occurred. He came to property in Late summer and took measurements and looked at the '
Loyalton Masons Provider Name Locked
of the land' and we talked about what we wanted done overall. About a week later he called back and gave me an estimate on what it would cost. The following spring we had him come back and firm up price as we wanted to move forward. He came out again, re-measured. re-estimated cost, etc. He gave me same price for labor, told me I would have to provide any new materials and gave me a few local suppliers to contact for the supplies. Said I didn't have to use them but he had worked with these suppliers and they knew him, etc. I went and got pricing for some new concrete blocks and they were purchased from one of his recommended suppliers. they were delivered within a few days and I had everything to get the job started. The stuff sat in my driveway for a week before he was able to come out and begin. In fairness, he ran into an issue with tearing down the existing wall and needed to call in a friend with a bobcat to rip out some sort of water
Loyalton Masons Provider Name Locked
that was installed improperly. Once that was done (took about 2 weeks) he started building it up again. This was a much slower process than I was
Loyalton Masons Provider Name Locked
to believe- he had originally told me it would be maybe a week total. It ended up taking almost a month. A lot of days he just did not show up for whatever reason. He would be out one day, skip a few days, then come out one day, skip a few more days, etc. If he would have been out every day to work on it he probably would have been done in a week as he estimated.
He works by himself, this is a one-man operation and he has no heavy equipment, no truck and no other employees, so if there were ever any need to get supplies, or haul away debris, I needed to do that, which i did a few times. I had to order the new blocks, gravel and other landscaping material and have that delivered. I also had to pay another local landscaping service to come out and haul away the old landscaping debris that he had pulled out with the Bobcat as he had no way of hauling it away himself. So that tacked on another $200 or so to the overall cost. He DID have a friend with a truck that he used to initially come out and haul away the old landscape block though. the same guy came out with the bobcat later on in the project.
After completion, i had a LOT of leftover materials- almost 25% of the original block I ordered were unused. Seems that the supplier mis-estimated the amount of block he would need. They ended up coming out and picking it up and giving me a refund though, so that was nice.
The work itself was good quality. He did a great job and the wall is structurally sound and looks great. I had to call him back after a week or so as I found a few loose blocks on the top of the wall that had not been glued securely and he came out to fix those. He told me to call him again If i found others and he would come out when he could to adhere them since he carried that product around with him. I did find more that were loose but I called and never heard back from him, so i just went out and bought some of the adhesive and glued them myself. It wasn't that big of a deal, i was a bit surprised I didn't hear back though.
I would use this guy again If I had SMALL projects. I almost think this project was a bit too big for him since he had no truck or equipment to haul or deliver heavy supplies and had to rely on a friend with a truck and equipment when needed.

They were professional, timely, and hard working. It was a excellent experience. They cleaned up well, which was the finish to a great job.
