"He was very nice, but difficult when it came to working with my insurance company. The insurance company that I am working with gave me a dollar amount and wanted" me to stay within. He said he put in the invoice with the insurance company, but I contacted them and they said they never received an itemized receipt. The insurance company did not want to start work without that itemized receipt. Also charged for wood remediation (drying out of the wood) but it wouldn't be necessary because the wood is already dried out.

"They were very much on a time line and they didn’t look like they had the high level of expertise that I would have liked. They left the project open-ended." They patched some things on some cedar but they just threw some stuff on that is used for fixing car dents. The work was very middle of the road and I was not thoroughly impressed with them.

Putting the finishing touches on a remodeled room can be a challenge, but with a bit of practice and patience, your crown molding will look like a master carpenter put it up.

There are lots of occurrences that result in dry rot, though most have to do with proper water management in the home, says Lindus. (Photo courtesy of Angie's List member Donna B. of Portland, Oregon)

You need a general contractor - prefereably one who specializes in additions, because you have excavation, waterproofing, concrete, concrete cutting, carpentry, door and window, etc trades to coordinate.

The cost will depend a great deal on your topography around the house - if the base of the window will be above ground level at least 6 inches, then could run about $500 for a legal egress window purchase and about $1000-2000 for installation, depending on how deep into the concrete you have to cut.

If the bottom of the window will be below ground level, then to call it a bedroom (which mandates legal sized second egress and usauully at least one window)  then you will have two choices - bring it out into a solid watertight concrete storm cellar with collar to keep water out, stairs, and and weather and bug-tight cellar door that is inward-opening, which means a lot of space for stairs and landings top and bottom, or bring it out into an oversized window well at least 36 inches in diameter, and with steps to ground level, with adequate drainage and waterproofing to keep it dry. Either way, sometimes about as easy to put in an outside door as a window, and might raise property value more. Cost from $2-5,000 depending on how deep into concrete wall you have to dig, whether concrete wsall needs reinforcing with steel frame because of the depth of cut, how easy the digging is, and what your water conditions are near the foundation. The last thing you want to do is create an easy water or vermin ingress with your egress.

Dictated by Federal LAW , you will need a Licensed and EPA Certified HVAC Contractor

to make such repairs . In fact , by law , ONLY A licenesed HVAC contractor can buy or install

said eguipment , NOT A handyman nor general contractor !

YES , You should have an A.C. sleeve surrounding the through the wall unit . These sleeves will usually accompany NEW products , either as a package or an add on equipment purchase.

Contact a Licenesed PROFFESSIONAL at once !

It depends on what type of ramp you need. If it is built out of wood you could look for a carpenter or a deck company. If you are looking for a concrete ramp a mason would be what you are looking for. There are also metal ramps and I believe some medical supply companies may carry them or be able to steer you in the right direction. As for insurance coverage I am not sure. You may have coverage and would be best talking to your agent. Depending on why you need this ramp there may even be programs through your local government or even some of the local charities might help. It might be a project a local Scout Troop might help out on.

This master contractor carpenter/designer is timely, efficient, reasonably priced, trustworthy, and above all, highly skilled. The built in cabinets look like high priced furniture. I live in an old

Simply put this company is fantastic. I had them paint the entire interior and exterior of my house and some renovation work including opening up a wall in my living room and remodeling the two access points into one of my upstairs bathrooms. From pricing to scheduling to the execution of the work, Benchmark is top notch. They were always friendly, helpful and professional throughout the entire process. I will continue using them for all of my painting/carpentry jobs and would absolutely recommend them to anyone in need of these types of services.

This project went extremely well as the other 2 previous projects went. The
Los Alamos General Contractors Provider Name Locked
rep gave me so many options to exercise and together we chose what was good and functional for my family. This bathroom was in worst sharp because of what we couldn't see under the floor and walls. The demo crew was professional doing the work and we all was surprise the room stood this test of time. The cement crew was outstanding reinforcing my walls preventing winter air coming into the basement.. The carpenter people were masters of their craft reframing the perimeter, ceiling and floor and installing wood cabinets. The electrician and plumbers were top shelf as I witnessed their job performance as they made it looked like child's play. The plumber found something going wrong with the house heating system and it was quickly corrected. I like people more who goes the extra mile for me. They kept me up to date as to what was occuring as I also learned thru our conversations . The painter used his job knowledge and skills to make this bathroom closer to perfection. All the craftsmen contributed to making this bathroom project a functional bathroom resulting in making this family a happier one. It's always good to see familiar faces taking good care of this homeowner. I asked many questions as I have done in the past not to checked on their professionalism but to learned from them and get their point of view into make the correct decision. Remember: You get what you pay for and if you pay next to nothing, you get next to nothing.

was more professional than I have seen others- he actually took his shoes off when he came in my house for the estimate! The name of his company is perfect since he told us honestly he would do his best with our attic stairs but could not guarantee anything as the builder our our house and put them in an awkward place. But fix them he did also fixing a broken bi leveled door and the board under our sink which had been warped from a leakage problem we had yrs ago. His work is wonderful and the price was very reasonable. We will use him in the future and recommend him to friends and family.

The is the 2nd project I have had done by BRC and I have to say is was just as wonderful as the 1st. He was prompt with the estimate & answered every question I could come up with (and that was alot). They started on time and kept the work area clean and tidy. He even stopped work briefly so I could close the side gate and let my dogs out to do their thing. (he has dog' and cats too)
The final result was exactly what I wanted. It looks amazing! I can't wait to get started on my next project with BRC, we are converting my pool shed into a greenhouse & shed combo as well has having him renovate the siding on my sunroom.
