installed my floor originally two years ago. After a few months it started making excessive popping, and crackling sounds. I expected to be told that I was stuck with it. But
, the salesman at LML, went to bat for me with the manufacturer. The claim was denied.
contacted them again and pressed the issue until the manufacturer agreed to cover 100% of the materials!
had his team install one room of the new flooring and discovered that it had the same problem as before.
helped us find a better plank and just finished replacing the flooring in the entire house at no cost to us. This was a two year process and
was there for us the whole way always making sure we were informed and satisfied with what was going on with our case. I truly believe that any other store would have given up a long time ago!!! I also want to brag on

The problem remained undiagnosed despite a couple visits from a local roofer, who eventually suggested we have a structural engineer look at things. It was only when we noticed the roof actually lifting off and slamming down during one

Angie's Answers

From the wall street journal online:

"Etiquette and tipping experts agree that tipping a contractor and his employees isn't expected because contractors offer to do a job for you at a specific price. Any extra money they would want would be built into their bid. Also, it's a business relationship rather than one where they are performing a personal service for you like a waiter or a maid. But if the employees do extra jobs around the house, then experts say it is appropriate to tip a cash amount equivalent to the task; "tip gifts" such as cookies and drinks can count. "The key to tipping is whether or not it was outside the scope of what was normally expected," says Mark Brenner, author of "Tipping for Success!"

My opinion is that a little bit of courtesy (snacks, drinks, expression of appreciation etc.) goes a long way and upon completion of their work you feel compelled by a job well done to offer a little extra in the form of a tip - go for it, but do not feel obligated.
Agreed.  If you have existing cracking in porcelain you need to know the cause first.  I don't know of any reputable contractor that would dare install tile over existing tile.  Also, any manufacturer warranties for defects would be null due to improper installation.  Did the contractor offer this solution or did you ask for it?  The mear fact that he is agreeing to or offering it tells me you need to leave this guy for someone who knows what they are talking about before he does only half the job which will have to be redone in the near future, costing you more in the long run.

I get so many calls from customers that were talked into a "cheaper" way to do something only to find the work very sub-par.  The sad part is they are out the money they spent in the first place along with the additional amount I have to charge just to undo what the first contractor did before I can do it right.  This floor could end up costing you double what it should if it's not done right.

Flooring reviews in Lancaster

Salesman helped me pick out everything I needed and wanted plus solved some of the problems related to cats and their smell with the new paint. Everything went well and quickly except the grout in the living room and hall way deteriorated quickly and developed some holes. They had to come and re grout ti but now it is perfect. I love the floor and new doors and plan to have them do other work. They financed the work for one year same as cash which was a big help.

We waited a month after an initial order for their "BEST Staining CREW" however the results of that work product were quite different. We are certain they did not take the "standard of care" required. The crew lacked a basic understanding of QA- Quality Assurance and QC-Quality Control. They seemed in a hurry to flip at two day job in just one. We sensed a poor attitude as they kept a loud Spanish radio station going over my preferences for watching ESPN college football game day and later some games. They did not keep the front door closed as repeatedly requested in efforts to keep out hot moist air and the pets. Their work ethic and mindset was more that of a crew working on a job site of a house under construction, not occupied. They rushed to put a sealer over the stain in all areas. After the sealer dried we discovered "grit" in the top coat. We also later discovered damages from power sanding which left deep gouges and other surface

along the vertical wall board and the painted stair faces

by blue tape.
Process wise apparently they wiped the stained finish with cloth rags and alcohol. They did not use a "tack cloth" for the final wipe that would have ensured a grit and dust free surface before applying the sealer coat. The Corporate Owner did send another crew to repair the damages. The stair surfaces were finally lightly re-sanded, tack cloth wiped and treated properly with the sealer. However this crew also missed removing all blue tape which revealed more power sander damages mentioned. The Corporate Owner we think has good intentions but their crews lack proper training and common customer courtesies. The Owner should have a QA/QC inspection process as a follow-on with subject matter experts. As a result of damages we spent an additional $400 hiring an "Angie's List A Player Painter" who fixed everything properly.

and his team were great.
The basement of our 1957 rambler was slightly flooded in the spring of 2014, the result of heavy rains following significant snowmelt. As a result, we had portions of the carpet replaced in June. Then in October, my wife was offered a job in

, NC, so we had to quickly get the house on the

. The individual who had installed the carpet in June was not available in time, so I began searching. Having a difficult time finding someone willing to use the carpet that we had leftover from the original job, I fortunately discovered

. Within an hour,
Lancaster Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
had called me back and agreed to work with the carpet already purchased. He was there later that day to give a quote and suggest the carpet we should use for the majority of the job (the original portions made up a relatively small amount of the area).
Due to other jobs we were having done around the home, I needed to twice reschedule. In each instance,
Lancaster Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
responded quickly and was willing to accommodate us. The two-man crew that arrived at the house was friendly, efficient, extremely detail oriented, and thorough.
Lancaster Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
also dropped by during the initial stage of the job, and in typical fashion was friendly and professional. The job took all day to complete, which was well worth it, as the final result was nothing short of perfection.
I'm someone who believes in the notion that you get what you pay for. There are other carpet installation companies around who may be lower in price - though
Lancaster Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
is far from expensive - however, I can't imagine anyone being this thorough and quality-oriented. Furthermore, responsiveness goes a long way with earning my respect and satisfaction, and the level of
Lancaster Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
responsiveness is about as high as you can get.
If you want your floor covering job done right the first time, use these guys. I'm honored to recommend them.

Service office they provided a wide variety of carpet samples and selections. They were helpful in explaining carpet
qualities, answering our questions and allowing us to select the carpet we wanted for our home.

They removed and disposed of the old carpet, then installed the new carpet installation in our living room, bedrooms and stairway.
With a piece of remaining carpet we made an extra request to install it at the entry to our basement. They were able to do this for us.

Upon removing the old kitchen linoleum floor, they noted several dips, low spots in the floor and corrected this prior to installing the new tile floor.

We enjoy our carpet and tile floors and love the look it gives our home.

I completed the online form for a carpet installation. I needed the installation in two homes, but I couldn't indicate this on the form so I contacted their customer service. She completed the information for me and said it would be up to the installer but shouldn't be a problem. On the day that they were supposed to arrive, I had not received a confirmation so I called them. The rep I spoke with told me that I had not asked for a confirmation (which I thought that I had) and when I asked about the second property she said the first rep did not enter the information in the right area, so they didn't know if the technician could do that or not. They said that the technician reviews the information, so I said surely he saw it somewhere on the form. Anyhow, the rep contacted the technician and was informed that he was with a customer and couldn't ask about the other property but would be at my other location within a half hour. So I rushed out the door to make sure that I was there in case he arrived early. As I was driving there, I received a call. When I pulled into the other property I called back only to find out that the technician was going to now arrive 30 minutes OUTSIDE my 2 hour window. I was upset that I had rushed over since the other property. I asked if they could check if he would be able to do both estimates and then after they contacted him they told me he was having car trouble and wouldn't be able to come at all. They offered me $50 to reschedule, but I explained I was angry and couldn't answer them at the moment. A few days later I was called and when I relayed the circumstances to the rep, she apologized and offered $150 to reschedule and offered a new technician. I agreed. I also asked for a call before they were arriving so I could make sure I was at the right address for them. I came home early to meet them and waited. About 30 minutes before the end of my window, I contacted customer service. They reached out to the technician and he was across town and wasn't sure when he would make it there. I, admittedly, was furious and told the rep to check the notes on my account. He said he was aware and apologized and asked if I wanted the technician to come or to reschedule. I told him I knew I would never reschedule. I said that the tech could call me when he was on his way and I would let him know if I wanted him to come or not because I wasn't going to put the whole evening on hold for him. The next call I received was that the tech was outside my property which was about 8:30 that night. So I rushed over there and met with him. He explained to me that he had informed him manager before our time window that he was across town and that his manager needed to send someone else. He even showed me the text messages to prove it. I felt bad for him and explained that I understand it wasn't his fault and I was just upset with the lack of respect for our time that his company seemed to have. We came back to my other property and he showed samples. I explained to him the other property was to be a rental property and I didn't want to put high quality carpet in there. He of course showed me the high quality carpet. Then the next highest quality carpet. Then the sales tactics. What a deal, I won't charge you sales tax and it will save you a ton even though before I showed you the price per month without that. He even calculated like 400 sqft of waste, which talking to other carpet people seemed like a high amount to them and they said average was 10%. I told him that I needed him to email me the quote so that we could compare them and that my husband and I needed to pray and discuss the options. He pulled the, your best price will be
Lancaster Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, tactic. Then when I was firm in my decision he decided to show me the builder's grade option that I asked for in the beginning. I still stuck with our decision to have the quote emailed and to wait for an answer. I even confirmed that he had my email address and he said yes. His body language showed that he was either tired (which he told us he lives on the same side of town of the job that he came from which is about an hour plus away, and at this point it was around 10pm) or just mad that I didn't say yes to the high quality carpet and be done with it. Oh, and the contract. He kept trying to get me just to sign the contract. He told me that I could cancel anytime before the installation. I asked to see the contract. It is an Empire specific form which states I have 3 days from the above date to cancel. He said that it says that, but really it is anytime and they don't fill out the above date. I told him if that is the case, then it should say what he says because it wasn't a generic form and Empire should put I can cancel anytime before installation because he could put any date in there at anytime. I was not comfortable with that, so I repeated myself that we would just take the emailed quote. I guess after that he was done because he got up and packed his stuff up. He turned and walked to the door. I never heard him say anything like thank you, good bye, nothing. My daughter even made the comment that I must've made him mad because his face when we left. A few days passed and I still hadn't seen his quote. I contacted the customer service rep and explained to her the circumstances. She contacted the technician. She didn't seem to care about the quality of care that we received. Then she told me that the tech didn't have the ability to email from his tablet and that she could just tell me what I needed to know and did I want to schedule an installation. I told her I didn't believe that the information was going to do me any good because I saw no reason that I would be needing their services. BEWARE!

What set
Lancaster Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
apart from other laminate installers was the very professional install job They put a lot of time and effort into properly prepping the slab before installing the floors. Because they "floated" the slab the laminate butt up even with the existing time and there was no need for the use of transition pieces. Some transitional pieces I have seen used in others home could be considered trip hazards.
The install crew was very polite, professional, neat and fast. They even offered to help me move my furniture back into place when they were done.
I was very happy with all aspects of the job and will use

again when I am ready to do the bedrooms.
