La Quinta Electricians Reviews
The smoke and other detectors were installed fast and cleanly. The fan outlets where a bit more tricky as we had main HVAC vents and
Outstanding workmanship at a great price.
I am so excited to find such an honest, reputable, skillful person to help me."
Quoted rate was lowest I'd encountered at $75. Others were $85, $110.
Arrived on time, labeled truck, uniforms, two persons. They understood my explanation of what I wanted done and made helpful suggestions. Wall studs complicated things but they worked around it. Uncommon coax in my house required crimp ends they didn't have on the truck - they were gone 30 minutes to get them and that time did not appear on my bill.
They consistently spent their time working and were careful to keep my house clean during and after the job. They did not seem especially fast but I think their work pace was ok.
I gave the quality a 'B' but the electrical part was worth an 'A.'
When the job was complete I checked the picture quality on a few channels and power function and then certified the job. Later I discovered that the weakest analog channels had been made blurry by the splitter or extra cable. I will have to try an amp or (if the downstream connectors are all unused) swapping the splitter for a barrel connector. This accounts for my overall 'B' quality grade. Total time from arrival to completion was 2.5 hours with 30 minutes of that spent on the parts trip. I was wondering how my bill would look since I was expecting one electrician and two showed up. I was billed as I was quoted - $75 per hour for a total labor charge of $150. They took a credit card on site and I received a paper receipt and, later, an email copy.
Overall, I was extremely pleased with JCE's service.
They are English first language, which makes communication about projects easy. As it's a vacation rental home they are property managing, guests absolutely rave about them (every time!).
Their rates have been very fair and affordable and they are ever budget conscious when shopping for me or hiring others, and provide a prompt detailed accounting. He is an expert painter and drywaller. She helped me shop for new fabric for the double wide cushion on the roof deck as to buy a replacement would have been $500. She also helped me shop for new side tables and various by sending me photos of possible candidates.
He has also been doing some gardening for me, with them things are done right (and actually done!!!! as we've had sooo many issues with previous providers). The water bills have dropped over half since he got his guy out to do the irrigation repair and has installed other savings devices. Also he found a guy to do the palm tree trimming for less than half of what the previous gardener charged us for last year. He has a new pool service in place which seems much better than the previous one we had so many issues with.
They have also been working for the next door neighbors on installing a security system, and various painting. He is going to be painting our the roof deck rail and doing stucco repair at our place with his special sprayers he owns. Oh, and he and his guys filled in our old pond and topped it with decorative dirt and elegant plants: it looks awesome!
Anyway, I was hesitant too soon as they were doing so much to bring my property up to speed and I wanted to hog them to myself but now that he is done one of his big projects, and they have more availability, I am hopeful they will be growing their property maintenance business in La Quinta to keep him nearby should guest issues arise!!! Hire them you will not regret it!!!"
